Yo, how's it going? Everyone? Welcome today's Star heroes space, the number one esports space shooter with $1.4 million in decentralized tournament prize pools and 400,000 pre registered players and counting. My name is ice, and I will be your host for today's show. Now, full transparency before we begin here. So prior to Star Heroes partnering up with unfungible for the spaces program, I actually already heard of and got invited to participate in Stars Heroes tournaments, which is a huge bullish flag for me. And my first thought was, well, I better get to training because there's no way we're going to hop on stream, make a big bang out of it, and then proceed to getting owned. No, that's just. That's just not right. But luckily for us all, now we don't have to because now I get to talk to someone from the team and for all those sweet tips and tricks that I can hopefully use to improve my odds of not sucking when the tournament is live. But of course, I'm talking about the guy, the advisory member from Star Heroes supercharging web three brands growth, one project at a time.

What's going on, Nino? Pleasure to meet you, man. How are you doing today? Damn. I swear. Introduction, bro. What's up, man? The Naruto voice, the audio at the beginning, that was dope, man. Great host. Great host. Yeah, I'm doing very fine, actually. Not that I'm pretty sick because I just came home from Singapore. Pretty much everyone caught Covid. I'm not sure if I have Covid, but I'm pretty fucked sitting on some pain medication. So if I'm not, if I don't seem too motivated, it's not because of my excitement for Star heroes but because I'm not feeling the best. But yeah, it's all good. We're still here alive. Yo, man, I hear that and I don't know, it feels like every single crypto web three blockchain NFT related events the aftermath is simply just.

The Aftermath of Events

We all get sick. Whether that's Dubai, NFT, NYC, or anywhere around the world, it seems a Covid seems to follow us DJ's wherever we go. But it is just if it doesn't kill us, it will make us stronger over time. At least that's the hope anyway. But, bro, I'm thankful, man. I'm thankful that even though you are on loaded on meds, you are still able to get hyped from that intro Naruto sound effect. So let's go. That's. Let's focus on the good stuff. But, man, I got to ask you man. Going to Singapore, token 2049. So many things happening before we even begin, the topic of today. Just how was your trip, bro? What did you learn from it? Eye opening moments. Please tell me a little bit about Singapore.

Recounting the Singapore Experience

Yeah, it was completely insane. I mean, there was a 24 hours flight for me with the layover as well. The experience was unmatched. So I've already been to some IRL conferences. I've been tokyo 24 nine, Dubai, Lisbon as well. And they were dope as well, but nothing compared to Singapore. People have told me that it's the city, it's basically like Dubai, but jungle Dubai. And I now realize what they meant because when you look at the architecture, it's insane. The skyscrapers, it's like little forests in there. And yeah, I mean, the side events, they were super dope. I mean, just to put it in a nutshell, it's been by far the craziest week in my whole life. I've been running on probably like 3 hours of sleep each day. But it didn't matter because the FOMO, it kept me awake.

Observations from Singapore

Yeah, I mean, you just could see how much money actually is in the crypto space by. Because we looked at the map, right, and sometimes we didn't drive by cab, but we just walked from the hotel and there was this huge fucking building. And were joking like, yo, look, guys, we're going to go up there to the rooftop. And that was literally the first side event that we actually went to. And that was actually the case. So I was lucky enough to be. Was able. I was able to go to every single side event, was invited to almost all of them. Some great yacht parties as well. And the context there were amazing. I mean, I see a lot of people shitting on IRL conferences. But for me, it's just a matter of how you play your cards right. If you're able to network well and you have the access to the right side events, your experience is great.

Navigating Conferences and Networking

And I haven't paid for any food or nothing. All I paid was the taxi cab, the taxi drives. And there was a lot. Pretty much like, I think eight cab drives per day. yeah, it was insane. But we made it back alive. And I think the reason why I caught Covid is because, you know, of all this sleep deprivedness and the fact that you pretty much shake like thousand hands in the week of Singapore and all of this combined, I think, yeah, that leads to the sickness of all these people I've experienced with silicon and Dubai as well. And yeah, it's just got to get over it.

Post-Event Health Issues

Yeah. It seems to be one of those things that, it inevitably catches up with us, you know, while we're there, though, our immune system is operating at, like, 150%. Right? It is after we get on the plane, when our body knows, okay, the conference is over, it's time to shut down. And the moment we land in our, like, our home country, our body's like, all right, okay, I'm sick. I'm dead. Okay. You just give me all. Give me all the meds, because that's what happened to me, too, man. Like, I was going strong for, like, the entire week, and the moment I landed back in Canada, the moment I set foot on this Canadia soil, my body just gave up, man.

Returning Home and Recovery

It's like, okay, you can cough now. You can let it all out. You know? I wasn't. But I went to. I went to NFT NYC earlier this year in April, and, yeah, like, very energetic, very good health throughout the whole thing. But literally, the moment I landed, it's just like, all the symptoms in the world came crashing down. Right. So it's kind of like I had that immunity wall when I was there, maybe due to. Maybe just, like, due to adrenaline, but, yeah, like, landing back at home definitely triggers something, man. That's for sure.

Immunity and Traveling

Yeah, I completely agree. Yeah. And I find it really interesting the way that you kind of, you described, like, the whole Singapore journey, because I've heard. I've heard a lot of stories, from people that went as well. And there seems to be two very different, two very extreme takes. So the first one is just like you said, man. It's. It's a very beautiful country. So many. It really does feel like you are in the presence of royalty, especially when you are in a room with so many big brain, gigachad, padded wallet people in the crypto space, you can't help but feel that way. Right. But on the other spectrum, which is a lot of gamers that I talk to, their idea, and the first thing they thought about when I asked them how was singapore was, where can I vape?

Diverse Perspectives on Singapore

Like, where do I smoke? So it's really interesting to see how, like, these two, like, these two stressors really do clash. People are worried about different things, and I totally get that. But, you know, when you're. When you're in a place like Singapore, so many events happening, there's so little time for you to choose from. So just like you said, Nina, we really have to choose, like, pick and choose our battles, right, because our attendance. We cannot realistically attend every single event, even though we really want to. And one last thing, and I swear we'll kick off the show. Do you personally feel these conferences are the best for establishing these connections?

Connecting at Conferences

Or do you think small gatherings, dinners, or maybe even like, coffee? Like coffee chats are better for establishing connections? I mean, so it always depends on what situation you are. But let's, for example, say you're someone that starts off, it's basically a numbers game. I actually did a thread about it. It's like a full networking guy. You guys can check it out on my tweet, but I'll just quickly say it as well. At first you have to make as many contacts as possible. Then you'll figure out which ones are actually valuable and which ones you then want to connect with more and nurture this relationship with.

Importance of Networking

Right. So after you've like, connected with a bunch of. In a matter of two days, it's good that you do private meetings best at times when you have dinner or breakfast, when eating food. So that's. Then you have it very time efficient and, yeah, I mean, that's basically it. And actually, you asked me this before and I didn't answer it. The biggest learning that I took away from the conference was the first two days were so nuts, so crazy with all the connections, the side events, that I was way too happy. I was way too fucking happy. And I realized the biggest skill and the most important thing is to stay humble and grateful at all times.

Staying Humble in Success

And I don't mean by saying now that you have to be a good guy and not be an asshole, right? I actually mean it in the inside of. Because my brain, because I always behave good, right? But my brain was going off like fireworks. It was nuts. And I did some breathing exercises, went into myself and, yeah, then I was able to kind of still stay at this high frequency, but stay there, right. Because the thing is, if you let yourself run free and your happiness and your dopamine run free, what happens is that you will have a calm down later on and you will not be able to stay focused and consistent on actually the tasks. And, yeah, this was my biggest learning.

Lessons Learned and John Cena's Wisdom

That's fantastic, man. There's actually, I forgot who said this. You know what I do remember, it was actually John Cena that said this. So I saw a post from John Cena and basically he basically said that comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. Right? So there's two things that he always keeps in mind. One is memento Mori, and then the other is basically, you are never greater than anybody else. Just like you said, you know, stay humble, be grateful. And then the other thing he says to himself is that when he feels like he is not enough, he stops comparing. Because, again, comparison is a thief of joy.

Impact of Comparison

So when, you know, when you are not feeling enough and when you feel like you can do better, you kind of. He kind of reminds himself that he is enough. And when he is, oftentimes when he is the biggest man in the room, he tells himself, you are not better than anybody else. So he remains humble. He brings his mindset down to earth. And I think this is a really great thing to keep in mind because even someone as great, as strong as John Cena is able to keep this mentality in mind, right? So I think this is something that is applicable for all of us.

Looking Forward

But we are quite a handful into today's show already, and we haven't even got to the main, first thing that we're supposed to address, which is me saying hello to Nino. So I guess we did get to that part. But before we actually chat about all things to do with star heroes, which we have a lot to talk about, I do want to open the conversation and get to know you a little bit more, Nino. So please, can you please share with us, like, what kind of, what was your background? What was your journey like leading into web three?

Nino's Journey

Yes, most definitely. Actually, it involves dark heroes as well, because their heroes was the game that onboarded me. So I was being a crypto enthusiast already now. For five years now. Already. Damn. Time moves quick as fuck. Jesus. So I was a retailer for almost four years. I loved shitcoins. I lost more money than everyone else. And I was big.

Introduction to Launchpads

I was a big fan of launchpads. And so what I did, I was trying to get in as many presales as possible, and I stumbled upon a launchpad called Spartex. Great one. Shout out to Spartex, by the way. And I saw the post. It was a super cool graphic pose of animation. The music was super dope, and it was the announcement of the ido of Star heroes. And I clicked on the Twitter and I was like, damn, that looks dope. The visuals, the graphics, everything is dope. So I joined their discord. I was getting involved into the community, and I was right on time when it came to the timing because literally when I joined, they were announcing their early access and that people could sign up and start getting into this elitist squad. And that's what I did, and I played it, and I was a super big fan of web free gaming, right?

Experience with Web Free Gaming

But back then, web free gaming, let's be honest, it was complete trash. It was only games where people played it for a monetary incentive that were not fun at all. And, you know, all these axie infinity clones, right? That all went to zero anyways because the. All these tokenomics and the ecosystem was just not sustainable. And I started playing Star heroes, and I was super fucking surprised, you know, me coming from a big gaming background playing all kinds of game, being kind of an addict back then when I was a little fucker. And I started playing Star heroes and it was so dope. And I got my twin brother, by the way, he's also my partner. Shout out to Vito Dorito. And I found a guy as well called Kojaks on the Star Heroes discord. And it's a free versus free game, right? And we started playing it and were sweaty as fuck.

Atmosphere in Star Heroes Community

It was bug free. And in my opinion, it was really the best game of web three, of course, that I've ever played, but also the best space shooter I've ever played. So I really felt like theme, this is. This doesn't feel like a web free game. It's literally so good and so unique that this could pop off in the web two space as well. And, you know, I got more. I got more involved. More involved was playing a lot. All of this happened back then on the star Heroes discord. That was super cool. You know, we had all these little private community and everyone knew each other. And you came into the lobby playing against three other guys that you already knew. And it was always this fight. So crazy fucking times. Everyone that was an early access player can agree with me here.

Interactions with Founders and Marketing Career Decision

And I still remember there was a time there was Ama, and I actually talked a lot with the founder back then, Maverick. And he afterwards called me and yeah, he told me, hey, what are you guys doing? He was interested and I told him, I'm studying marketing at the university. And the thing is, back then, actually, I only had two exams left to finish my studies. So that would have taken me like three months, right? And the studies would have been like a three year study. But what I did actually stopped studying. And I said, okay, fuck it, man. My dream was always web free. And I went full time web three because Maverick decided to onboard us and what we did. So he gave us a homework. He didn't just onboard us. Out of nowhere, we knew that the TGE was upcoming.

Preparation for TGE

And so what I did actually was almost work for 48 hours, do a complete, like, it was a 24 page PowerPoint documentation where we pointed out the go to market strategy and some good catalysts and events that should happen before web two and going into the after. I mean, in web three, before the TG and, yeah, they were very surprised and they took us on. And then me and Vito, we. We did quite a lot leading to the TGE. We were thrown into the ice cold water a lot of times, but everything turned out well. I mean, we did 57 extra launch. Mario Nafol said himself, were the most successful web three gaming launch in this year. The timing was right, though, as well, of course, back then in April. And, yeah, that's how my journey started in web three.

Reflections on the Journey

That was quite a long talk. Sorry. I should have kept it more concise. Oh, not at all, man. I just. Every single time when I speak with team members, founders, kind of like, on their background of coming into web three, I always, like, draw similarities, comparisons to my own life, right? Because I feel like, oh, it's like. Because I've always wondered, like, if I. If I went through my walk of life exactly the same, then chances are then it's gonna end up the same now. But what if I did things differently, right? What if I made this decision instead of that? What if I dropped my. My education at that time and decided to dive first into. Into web three just like Nino did? Like, how.

Discussing the Courage to Proceed

How different would my life be like then? So these are the. These are the kind of questions that I ask myself. And for you, man, I think it takes a lot of courage to push off one endeavor like the way you did, to go full on into the other, because the conviction behind that decision must have been incredibly strong, man. So kudos to you. And I just have to say, just your story reminded me of the fact. Just how, like, how incentivizing and how early and how opportunity really, like web three provides us. Because only in web three can we see something that we like on Twitter. We click on it and go into the thread, go into the links or whatever, and we actually have a chance to work for the team behind the product. That caught our eye.

Opportunities in Web Three

That has never happened before for me, like an IRL, right? And maybe we walk like, we walk by a sign, we go into an interview. That is as far as we can go. But in web three, we have the capacity to take things so much further. And I think this is why, myself included, this is why I think, like, web three has so much potential and why so many people like yourself and I on, you know, are willing to just pack up, drop everything, and go 110% into this. So, like, I'm glad we're both here, man. And, one last thing, because you said. Did you say you had a twin brother earlier? Did I? Did I hear that correctly?

Yes, sir. Gotcha. Can you confirm a myth for us? Because we've seen this in basketball, we've seen this in sports. Is it true that two twin brothers can actually, without looking at each other, just telepathically communicate and have, like, an idea of what's going on? Like, can you guys sit in a room without communicating and just by pure, like, energy, know that you guys are going to gank a lane or kill someone? Like, I don't know. Like, how does this work, man? Please tell me.

Understanding Twin Dynamics

Yes. I mean, I know him as well as he knows me, and that's, like, ten out of ten. It's mainly eye contact. Right. And, of course, we know each other's behavior, so we don't have to communicate too much with voice. That's right. Got it. So I guess for any esports teams listening in on the playback later on. Yeah. Draft. Draft. Identical twins. That's. And hopefully have them in the same team having them same lane. That's gonna. It's gonna. It's gonna be. It's gonna pay dividends in the future for that. He's first team, I'm sure.

Relating Backstory to Shared Experiences

But brotherhood, I love your backstory, man. There's so many. So many common points of interest, so many moments where I can really relate to in your story, and I think a lot of our audience members can as well. So going from that web two bit education, going into web three now, kind of surrendering the kind of surrendering our past in order to get fully entrenched in what web three has to offer. Now, we are here in 2024. You're working on Star Heroes. So please tell us, man, what kind of game is Star Heroes?

Describing Star Heroes

Like, if you were to bump into someone in an elevator and you only had about 30 to 40 seconds, how would you describe Star Heroes as a game to them? Yes, sir. So I keep it very concise. It's very competitive, very fast paced, skill based, of course, because you have to aim a lot. Space shooter, multiplayer. Yeah. Wait, so skill based. And there's a lot of aiming. So are we talking about first person style aiming, or are we talking about, like, a top down aiming or, like, what kind of style? So it's a third person.

Game Mechanics and Play Styles

Right. But you can also zoom in. So when people are very far away or a lot of people. I mean, people have different playstyles. A lot of people zoom in mainly when they shoot. So you can aim as well? Yeah, yeah. So then it's first person, basically. But the cool thing about story heroes is not only that you have to aim good, but it's the movement. So it's, like, very easy to pick up the game, but mastering it is super hard. So that's also why back then, we try to do some web two activations very early on as well. But the streamers, they had big troubles playing against our community because they were so good already that they got completely crushed.

Emphasis on Advanced Gameplay

Because what really makes a player that good are those little details of movement, for example, or something called strafing, when you are able to shoot at someone but also fly around him in full speed. Right. So it's super hard for the other guys to catch you. Is it? And this is actually reminding me of, I don't know if you guys were around for that, but, you know, back then in those, arcade cabinets, there would be those machines where it's like, obviously you put in a quarter or whatever. You have one life because that's. That's how they get you.

Gameplay Mechanics

And then, so you have one life. You touch anything once you die, and it's basically like the screen is basically scrolling upwards, and then there's a bunch of enemy airships with lasers coming your way. You get power ups to get you more laser so on and so forth. Is that kind of how the game plays? Nina? Oh, sorry. I think my head just lost this battery. I had to recharge it right now. Yeah, no problem. I was just kind of getting into the gameplay. So I'm kind of remembering this as one of those old arcade cabinet games where it's kind of like the screen is scrolling up, and then you have enemy spaceships shooting lasers at you in which you have only one life. But you can pick upgrades, whether that's bulking up to take additional hits or having more lasers to shoot back. Is that what the game kind of looks like? No. So it's a 3d, right? And you have a base.

Explaining the Core Mechanics

So each team has a base. And if you go back to the base, of course you got money. And that's so called credits while playing for kills. But you can also pick up different items throughout the map and get additional credits. And then you can level up your gear so you have more life. And you can also level up your weapons or buy and sell different weapons. So in total, you can equip up to three weapons. And, yeah, there's like a whole new meta. We have three different ship classes. Actually, now we have five.

Game Diversity

So, yeah, there's quite a lot to do. Gotcha. So you guys. How you guys are. It's a shooter game. There's a multiple. Multiple styles of weapons and five different ship classes, so. And there's even money and credits. So. So much to unpack here. Let's do it one at a time right here. So when you. When you mentioned that there's a five different ship classes. I know I'm jumping the gun right now, but are this ship classes differentiated based on what nfts a holder has, or does everybody have access to all ship classes?

Access to Ship Classes

Yeah. So everybody has access to all ship classes, but you have to unlock them. So the first ship class is the shooter. And by the way, the ship class is to differentiate themselves mostly by the abilities each have. So by pressing f, you can unleash the special ability. For example, for the shooter class, it's shooting out rockets that are chasing the enemies. That looks pretty cool. Then there's another class called the support class. It makes you jump forward and you can heal players. Then there's the tank class.

Further Details on Ship Classes

You get a big shield. There's the nuke class now called Hitman, where you can instantly kill someone after he has below 50% health. And then there is the engineer class, where you can place a little turret wherever you fly. And he is.

Game Mechanics and Classes

That one's pretty fucking annoying. So, yeah. And these classes, do you have a ship tree in your game hub? And what you can do is if you play the game more, you can buy new classes and upgrade these. Gotcha. So different ship classes turns into different play styles, different skill kits. So, like, just to kind of. Kind of summarize there. So it seems like there's going to be tanks, there's going to be DP's, there's going to be assassins that are there to basically execute the enemy. And all this kind of circles back to another question I had, which is this a team game? Is it like one v one lobbies, two v two lobbies? Or, like, what is the maximum number of players that can be in the lobby at any given time?

Game Mode Details

Yes, very good question. And that's actually the point about it. It's a three versus three game right now. That's the game mode. it's called star push, and it's very team focused. So I don't. I don't know if you've seen it. But we actually ran a few tournaments back in the day and those were super sweaty and there was actually me participating in it and me, the pro gamer I am with my bro. We actually made it to the finals in war show and that was fucking huge. Yeah, that was one of the craziest experience that I ever had, winning the, that was back then, the quarterfinal. So were like, I think 4 hours stuck on stream just playing tournaments. And it was hosted by very cool production stream guys. And they commented as well, that was a crazy experience.

Tournament Experiences

And I think in total about 1000 players signed up, something like around that. And I was actually managing to get to the final. That was crazy. And it's very team based. So actually, Luke is in here right now. Luke Berkfold. Shout out to him. I still remember him joining our Discord channel back then. We were playing in game and, you know, you do a lot of shot calls. You're like this, let's say Juliet. Juliet. One hit. He's one hit. Focus, decent guy. Let's meet there. So it's like shot calls 24/7 right? And he joined in. He's like, hey, what's up, guys? We're like, fuck off, Luke. Get the fuck out of here.

Team Focus

So, yeah, it's a very team focus, a lot of shot calls. And that's what makes it the most fun. If you actually play it super competitive and you get better each day, that's what's so cool about it. And what I love about Star heroes is that the mechanics, they're super fucking clean. It feels so good. It's bug free. And a lot of games in web three, they focus mainly on the visuals. I think what Star heroes did is they first focus on the product, the mechanics, that everything feels perfect. And then they focus on the visuals. And, I mean, if anyone looks at the gameplay, these are stunning as well.

Gameplay Accessibility

Is it, is it actually free to play right now? Yeah, you will. You will have to play it soon enough, man. I can give you a rundown. You will love it. Yeah. I was actually hoping for. For a little bit of a game playoff as we, snowball into the upcoming tournament. I don't want to get. I don't want to get caught in a bad spot here, and get completely nuked here. But I think, I'm liking everything I'm hearing so far, man. I'm all about team games. I'm. I'm really into league, even though I'm not, like, God tier status at all. But, you know, sometimes we rage, sometimes we genuinely have a good time.

Community Building

And I think on the aspect of community building, I think having team style games is definitely something that can synergy, synergize a lot with web three branding and web three NFT communities. So let me ask you this then. So we know that there's tournaments you guys are running. We know that is a team based three v u, three v three kind of game with a lot of teamwork involved. But outside of that, a new player coming into the game for the first time. Like how does a player get entranced with Star Heroes? What is the core gameplay loop?

Core Gameplay Loop

Yes, definitely, as I mentioned before. So it's very easy to pick up the game, right? I mean, if the question to answer that would have to first of all explain how the mode start push works, right? So what has happening is you have two teams on each side with their bases and in the base you can, as I said, upgrade the weapons, upgrade your gear as the game moves. On each game, of course it depends on how good each team is, but each game like normally takes around 15 minutes, so it's not too long. I think it's the perfect time. And the objective is to push. The last objective, it's to call the. It's called the orb and you have to push it into the enemy portal by shooting at it.

Gameplay Simplicity

Right. It's a bit difficult to explain, but once you see it's very easy to pick up. So the reason why it's such a team game is because you have to eliminate the other players, but also make sure that the star push though, the orbs are being pushed in the enemy portals. Right. So yeah, I think it's also very easy, by the way, for new players if they come in because there's a super cool concise turn tutorial that they will watch before they start playing the game. So, yeah. Yeah, I think when it comes to like any kind of esports as kind of games or when PvP is on the table, I think in addition to questing and all that stuff, kind of doing your dailies, if it exists, I think the competition, like being competitive with other players, ranking higher, I think that in itself is a really strong plug for the gameplay loop because you want to be on top, right?

Progression Elements

You want to climb the ladder, you want to get good mmrs, you want to be able to flex on your friends. And on that note, I usually ask, is there a progression element to the game such that is there anything that carries over from one game to another, whether that be a base, stats, weapons I can find or upgrades, et cetera. Is there any kind of rpg element to Star Heroes? That's a super good question. I actually comment on the Star Heroes pose that I will not spill any beans, and I mean that I actually will spill beans.

Upcoming Features

And right, here we go. So, yeah, there is actually a big progression system coming very similar like League with super cool designs. And after each game you can see the points, cool animations. So yeah, I pushed very hard for this in the development phase a few months ago, and it's being made right now. And yeah, can't wait for this. Like emblems of each elo. They look fucking dope. Can I. Can I honor or report my people for being AFK? If I'm not happy with it, I can. Yeah, that's all that matters to me. All jokes aside, that's cool, man.

Competitive Features

I'm glad we're able to take not everything, but elements of successful companies like Riot games, League of Legends, and other things, like small things, just like emblems. It makes. It makes the journey a little bit more impactful. Right? Something to show at the end when we actually achieve something that we can show other players and different things that other players can flex on us, which then goes back to the core gameplay loop. It makes us want to attain that state, the same level of status that other players have. So that is all like fun in games to me, man. Earlier on you mentioned you get money in the game, you get credits.

In-Game Currency

I had initially assumed that this was going to be something that you kind of buy upgrades with. But while we're talking about the whole progression and rpg element thing, is there anything that. That you can gain from money or credits in game that does carry over from game to game? Oh, yeah. You mean as the play to. Are you talking about the play to Airdrop campaign? I was actually up speaking in terms of just like separately. So there's the money and credits that you can get in the. In the. In the games for buying upgrades, guns or maybe something. Something like that. So I was actually asking, are they, are these upgrades kind of like carry overable to different game lobbies?

Airdrop and Tokens

And then I guess the follow up question would be to like, yes, is there an airdrop campaign to that? Or can you actually change your game or money credits for something else outside of. Outside of skills and upgrades? Yes. So there actually was a big airdrop campaign. This was season one. That was a few months ago. It ended. So people were incentivized with the star token, that was quite a big airdrop. Some people made up to $20,000. But for season two, which is upcoming, there will not be airdrop of Star tokens. But there will be another incentivization that I cannot frontrun right now, unfortunately.

Future Developments

But, yeah, people will be very much incentivized for the new season as well. But we wanted to make sure that it's not another Star token airdrop because, yeah, we want the token to pump, of course. And what we've introduced now is a play to burn mechanism, right? So each player, when they play, they're actually burning star tokens, and we're aiming to burn around 40% of star token supply in the net over the next few seasons. And, yeah, for you also ask the question, if anything, that if anything, we play, if anything, is over carrying over to other games. I don't think so, no.

NFT Elements

So we have the hero NFTs as well. Those amplify when you play, not making you a better gamer, but giving you more star score, star hero score for the airdrop later on. Gotcha. Thank you for clarifying that. I definitely will carve out a spot near the end of today's show to get into the NFT. They're kind of. Kind of like the role they play within the ecosystem. Right. And the reason why I asked about the progression thing is because I just wanted to kind of get a general understanding.

Game Progression Discussion

but based on what I heard, it seems that the note, like, no progression does not mean bad thing. As a matter of fact, in these competitive games, it's actually good, because a progression system implies that you get stronger over time, which also implies that to a certain degree, it is paid to win. So that is not the case here, which is actually, which I'm. I'm. I'm actually quite happy about, because, like, traditional League of Legends players, like, we don't, we know the difference between going into a game where you have, like, level 30 runes back in the day versus someone that's just starting on a blank slate.

Clarifying Miscommunication

Right. So I totally understand, but, Nino, go ahead. Yeah, I think there was a miscommunication. So I thought you were talking about if you can get anything in game that then translate to other games outside the Star Heroes ecosystem. But you were just talking about Star Heroes itself. Right? So when you said other games, you mean other games in Star Heroes? Yeah. My apologies. Yeah. So it's kind of like from one ranked match in league to another ranked match in league.

Game Mechanics Clarification

Like, nothing from game one carries over to game two. Right. So that's kind of what I was asking about. Yeah. Got you. Okay. So that clarifies it a bit. My bad. Actually, it does, but in a way which is not p two win. So there, as I said, you can upgrade your classes, right? And if you upgrade those classes, they get, those base stats, get a little bit raised higher, and you can also increase your abilities and all that stuff.

Balancing and Upgrades

Of course, you can buy cool skins as well, but the difference between a tier one shooter, for example, and a tier five or tier six shooter is not that high. So even if you get ranked up against that tier six shooter and you have a tier one, which might be possible if you're on the same skill level, matchmaking is, by the way, pretty good instead of heroes. that doesn't mean that he's going to instantly win. So it's. We try to minimize this pay to win aspect as much as possible, and it's actually not paid to win at all.

Gameplay Integrity

So you cannot buy anything to actually get these in game. You have to play in order to buy these upgrades. Gotcha. Thank you. Thank you. That. That makes a lot of sense. A lot of sense. So thank you for breaking that down for us. You know, I do want to get into the nft side of things because we talked about the tokens. We talked about, sorry, you talked about something about playing to burn. I do want to revisit this in just a moment.

Breaking Down the Ecosystem

So let's. Let's break things down and let's go backwards. So let's talk about the entities. Then let's talk about the tokens, and then let's talk about the utility, everyone's favorite word about the tokens. And then let's talk about how deflationary mechanisms can help contribute to bolstering the ecosystem. So first thing on that massive list that we just went through, let's get into the nfTs. So again, what role do these NFTs play into the project?

NFT Mechanics

Is it, is it just a matter of what we unlock, or is it kind of act like as a battle pass? Yeah, you could say so it kind of acts like a battle pass because, as I said, the nfTs, there's a bigger mechanism behind it. But basically what these NFTs give you is not better game stats or anything. As we said, we don't want to make anything play to win. I mean, pay to win, but we wanted to make it pay to earn.

Star Hero Score

So if you have these hero nfTs, basically you're amplifying your star force. Score in the game, which then gets you higher on the leaderboard for a bigger airdrop. So we have a browser site that's called the. Let me check in the site for the hero NFTs.

NFT Usage and Impact

And there it's a pretty cool dashboard where you can see all the nfts that you have, all your heroes, and you can send them on missions. And by doing that, actually, you burn starscrew as well, which makes the star token just even more inflationary. I mean, deflationary. My bad. And, yeah, those are basically the use case behind nfTs. And the coolest NFT that you have, you can pick it in game as an avatar.

NFTs and Star Scores

Gotcha. So the NFTs holding the NFTs, it gives us a multiplier to our star score for the airdrop. And when you say send, when we send our units on missions, is this a function that is exclusive for people that hold the nfTs? Yes, sir. So it's this hero dashboard on the website, and there you can see, of course, you connect your wallet, you see all the nfTs, and then you can send them on missions. And by doing that, you also get more star force and a bigger airdrop. So people are incentivized to get these nfts.

Token Minting Timeline

Gotcha. So having the NFT, essentially, it amplifies progress in two to three different ways, it seems. And actually, I do want to talk about the tokens, but while I'm here, has the, is the project already minted before I get ahead of myself, or is it, is it to be minted in the future? You mean if Star already had its tGe? Correct. Is it? Yeah. Are there any nfts that are still to be minted? Because I know the TGE already. There's. It happened yet because of the airdrop campaign that's going. No, the NFTs actually minted out all of them, but they can be bought in the secondary market.

Token Functions and Utilities

So just go on, opensea. Understood. Thank you. Thank you. All right, so now let's go back to the tokens bit. So now we know about what the NFTs do, and then into the game, let's talk about the tokens a little bit more. So, I guess Star token in this case. So why does a community member that's part of Star Heroes, why would they want to hold a large, abundant amount of star tokens? I mean, as we know, the number one utility with every single project, governance, we all love it. Right? So governance is, of course, the number one utility. I mean, not the number one but the first utility, second of all, it's Star heroes. You have to every single transaction that you do either, if it's sending heroes on missions, actually you can upgrade these heroes as well so that all of these transactions, all of them cost star tokens.

Transitioning NFTs and Future Use

And also the hero NFTs, they will soon be transitioned instead of buying them on Opensea, they will soon be transitioned to a new NFT platform that I can't talk too much about right now, but there you will have to buy the movestar tokens as well. And as well, every single in game transaction that you do, you can also do them with start token. Actually, there's a lot of other utility coming in with the expansion of the Star heroes IP, but I can't talk too much on this one, unfortunately right now. Got it.

Play-to-Burn Mechanic

Well, we'll leave the spoilers, we'll go a little, we'll be a little bit more relaxed about the spoilers bit because I think we already made Nino spill a little bit too much alpha in today's show. So let's get back on topic then. So the tokens, the utility, essentially it is a split between, you said governance, upgrading your heroes, and also in the near future, these hero NFTs will be migrating to a new NFT platform. And then we'll talk about that in the months to come when we get there. But earlier on, you mentioned in game sections. So everything that you do in game. Also works on the Star heroes token, in game transactions.

Token Transactions and Upgrades

So that would be on purchasing, selling, upgrading of cosmetics. These will all use, these will all use star tokens kind of as the token to power the transactions, is that correct? I. Yes, sir. Got it. Got it. Thank you. And I guess this does kind of tie in with the question that I wanted to bring up before you mentioned play to burn, which implies that there is a deflationary mechanism at work for the ecosystem. So how does play to burn work exactly for Star heroes? And how does it benefit other token holders?

Transaction and Burn Mechanisms

Yes, definitely. So as I mentioned, if you have to send, if you send these heroes and admissions or if you do any kind of transactions or whatever, you basically spend Star heroes tokens. And what happens is that we have a burn mechanism. So all these tokens that are being spent, they're all going to be burned. And as I already said, we're aiming to burn up to 40% of the whole star token supply over the next two seasons. And if you look at the dashboard, we have something called a burning dashboard. You can actually see how much we've already burned.

Incentives for Players

There's some very beautiful charts laid out, and there you can already check what has happened until now in season one. And that's actually quite a lot. Gotcha. Gotcha. And when you say players can spend tokens to then send their heroes on missions, which then burns the star tokens, that kind of begs the question, right? So essentially, players are spending tokens, sending their heroes on missions in order to get what exactly for return.

Seasonal Airdrop Rewards

So in season one, there was a play turtle campaign, right. And what they are getting, they are basically getting this Star Force score amplification of their Star Force score, which then enables them to rank higher on the leaderboard in order to back then get the star token airdrop. For season two, there will be another airdrop, but not from the star token. So we want to really reduce the inflation and actually make it deflationary, which is already the case, by the way.

Player Engagement and Rewards

I gotcha. So essentially, players are trading their star tokens, sending their characters on missions, and then it's going to give them additional core amplifications, and it's going to also unlock, I guess, unlock access to future airdrop campaigns or different events that the team decides to hold, is that correct? You know, so I was kind of, as we approach the final segment today's show, kind of want to just get a. Kind of get a. So, first of all, I want to talk about the upcoming tournament that's going down, because we actually started today's show by teasing everybody with the tournament and also a $1.4 million prize pool. I assume that is over the longevity of the ecosystem up until this point, and it's not what's being given out in this upcoming tournament. But, Nino, can you actually share with us some details about how the upcoming tournament is going to be ran and how can people participate if they want to be involved?

Tournament Structure and Participation

Yeah, sure. So first, actually, we wanted to make a big tournament, just one giant tournament with a $1.4 million prize pool. But we decided that it will not be that long term focus, and there's a lot of things that can go wrong. So instead, what we'll do is actually have a league. So we actually want to get into web two. We want to make Star heroes a household name in the web two gaming as well, which is not called web two gaming, by the way. It's just called normal gaming.

Esports and Star Heroes

And by doing so, we want to onboard esports teams and get them all affiliated with the Star Heroes brand, let them play in the Star Heroes League. And of course, everything will be streamed. Also, the big events will be have run in an arena and how to communicate can get involved. That is something unannounced, but they will be able to get involved 100%. That's what I can say. And the qualifiers for this will be in season two. So all the guys that are very good in season two are able to qualify themselves for the tournaments.

Accessing the Tournament

Gotcha. So if you are already a player in the ecosystem, then I guess that's a skill set thing. You know, if it's a non skilled issue, prove it, and then you guys will have access to it. But if you're out, if you're just watching and glancing in from the outside, I guess, are they able to hop into the discord or are they able to get in touch with members of the staff team? Would that be the best way to go about it?

Yes, definitely. So we have a discord with very active moderators. Just hop in there. You can ask all kind of questions. And something I forgot to say right now, by the way, since we have a big price pool and not all of it is going to be burned on the tournament league, as I just said, what we do want, of course, is to have a big ass event in the same arena where the CS go events. The ESL is being held, but just nothing right now.

Future Plans for the Tournament

So the focus is on having this tournament league, and then if this picks up success, then we'll have a giant tournament with a very big pricing. Yeah. Honestly, I love that approach. And it's always very tempting when we're bestowed upon, like a large sum amount of money. It's like, oh, how are we going to spend this budget on marketing? Let's make it. Let's go out with a bang.

Sustainable Strategies

But I would much rather teams be more mindful about the way that they spend it. Like, kind of like, don't blow all your money one major event, because just like you said, and we've all experienced this in the past, right? What happens when you put a bunch of money on an event? We're going to get a huge turn up. People are there to fight like crazy for the money, but after the money is off the table, people kind of just stop. They just kind of stop paying attention to it. Right.

Long-Term Engagement

So I would much rather that money be spent on a well executed drip campaign, something that will actually allow people to have star heroes engraved on their mind for a longer period. Of time rather than have a lot of attention for a very short period of time. So kudos to you guys. Love the way that you guys are approaching it. And to you, Nino, what do you think the vision for the project is? Like, where do you guys want to see yourself one to two years out from now?

Future Vision and Expansion

Yeah, definitely. So as I said right in the beginning, I really do think, and I believe strongly that story heroes is not meant to be just gate capped in web three. I think it really has the potential to get mainstream adoption and to really be the number one esports competitive space shooter out there. So the plan is to go very big in the web two, advertising, get some great ambassadors on, which is actually quite easy because the game is super cool and all of them love it.

Targeting Asian Market

And, of course, next thing would be dominating in the asian space. So it's very untapped. I mean, I've talked to them in another space already. The average korean mobile gamer spends ten times more than the average western gamer. And just by this fact, when I heard it, I was like, oh, man, we gotta. We gotta dominate the asian space.

Establishing Competitive Presence

So, yeah, asian space, web two. And establishing ourselves as the number one competitive space shooter. Hey, man, if you guys can get. If you guys can get the competitive korean gamers over onto the platform, that itself is, like, the most bullish thing for any, like, forget web three games. That's the most bullish factor for any game community, period. In my opinion.

Tournament Timeline and Community Involvement

Anyway, for this tournament that is coming up, do you guys have a set timeline? Because I know that there was some months being thrown out at the very beginning. Did you guys come up with a specific date already, or is that still to be announced? Yeah, it's still to be announced, but still. Probably still this year. Yeah, but I can't confirm 100%, but probably still before the end of this year.

So I think we shouldn't say it is called web three.
