Behind the Mic
Hey, they’re back to maybe chat a little bit. What’s the score, bro? He’s tuned in. I think. I think it’s 62 73 or something like that. They down ten. I love the boys. I noticed you popped up in the space there, brother. You want to tell us what you got going on? Are you watching the game, too? No, I’m not watching the game, man. It’s been a busy day. I’m just. Just here chilling out with y’all, man. We appreciate that, man. Yeah, yeah. Not. Not too much. Well, I’m debating on transferring a project over project of mine. I’m trying to figure out how to do it and if it makes sense. So I guess, like, I got that going on, but I don’t. I should be trying to chill, bro. I always got something going on when I’m, you know, someone with y’all in the space. Yeah, no fair. For sure. For sure. I just. We have a lot of people here from Solana, you know, and DOJ is so interesting, some people might not know the crude boys and the crew know. So if you kind of want to brief. I know you. You must talk about a lot, but if you want to briefly talk about crude boys on doge, if you’re comfortable with that. Yeah, sure, bro. So I’m cruel, boy. Started off in the space couple of years ago, and I consider myself an artist at heart. I mean, it’s funny, I’ll mention it. Kind of like the more so one man teams or. I’ve been pretty much a kind of sort of a one man team since I started in the space, but I’ve been able to, like, don’t let that hinder you. Like, I’ve been able to do a lot with just kind of. Kind of me. But like I said, I. I’m an artist at heart. Been in space for a couple of years. Started off as a one of one artist, like primarily a painter. Like a painter on canvas. Actually didn’t start making art until I found out about nfts a couple years ago. So before that I was just a regular guy. Regular nine to five. Really had no ambitions of being an artist or being in a tech kind of scene or none of that. I was regular guy, but I thought the nfts, like, the technology was interesting. So I did my deep dive into it and learned as much as I could. Hands On a practical application of blockchain technology. And I kind of hit me. I was like, you know what? This is a technology that. That we can, like, show the transparency. That’s needed in certain areas and spaces. And being from the art world and being an artist, I kind of felt like the art world is one of those areas that was kind of like slept on. And especially in the like, artist to collector relationships, like over over time, over the past hundred years or so, like the artist to collector relationships have almost been diminished to where you as an artist, like, the value that your work brings to, like the museums, the collectors, whatever. It’s almost like they don’t care. And I realize, like, a closer knit kind of like the closer you can close that gap in their relationship, the better. You can kind of see the beauty and kind of like what we can really do in this space with with them artist to collector relationship. So that’s kind of where crude boys started off. More of a compilation trying to orange peel, you know, people who didn’t know anything about blockchain technology. So it’s like, hey, supply chain yeah, blockchain technology can solve that. Well, I don’t really understand blockchain technology. Okay, well, like crude, like crude oil. I look at crude as like a an acronym for crypto. Raw, undefinable or unlimited digital assets. And I called it crude boys. Here’s a group of guys who started off ground zero with nothing, with no real knowledge of blockchain and built everything from the ground up. And so that’s kind of like how crude boys started. And it was more like an orange peeling factory where, you know, over time people have come to the brand and learned that, you know, or learned the importance of blockchain technology consolidations, you know, throughout the industry is amazing right now. Like we’re all here because we were able to see kind of like what blockchain technology has to offer. And so as a compilation, like the main thing I always tell people is if you can just pinpoint what’s wrong, you know, like what’s wrong in terms of current events, then you can figure out a solution. Like the blockchain probably has your solution. And being from the artist world, due to like I said, artist to collector relationships, whether you’re a musician, whether you’re a painter, whether you’re any type. Hey, I’m going to scan down and I don’t know if you want to finish the segment, but great, great stuff there. I know when I was talking to you earlier, like you’re moving over to ordinals and things. Is that fair to say? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. No, no sweat, bro. So over time, I’ve been like I’ve always been kind of. I’ll tell you the story of how NFT’S like got started for me. I was like, I’m an artist, right? And I was like, well, what can I do with NFT’S, like, on all these other chains? That would be new and innovative. And so I got to the point where, you know, I realized that blocking certain chains were starting in centralization. There was a lot of for lack of better words, noisy speculation on the chains. And so got involved, got involved very heavily in like Bitcoin nfts and the run of the early days of ordinals when people were figuring out how to do inscript inscribed nfts on satoshis. And so I had a bunch of art that I had compiled. I was like, no one’s going to take this serious. No one’s going to care about and then realize, like, you know, it may not be cared about now, but just not giving up on the process of not letting popular sentiment stop you from. You realize, like, Doge we’re barking and they should flip, though. That could have been like, you know, five, six years from now, right? It’s okay. To put material up on Bitcoin at the time and started realizing in the early days of ordinals, artists started gravitating to these what appeared to be more expensive nfts as a flex or a status symbol. And it was like, well, why am I paying $200 to get this nft and only one ending up doing transaction costs are high. But then I realized it was more about imprinting not what people thought was the flex, but was it was history. It was like the first time we were able to put nfts on Bitcoin and inscribing it as early as possible made value over time, like the punk type order, no, I mean, it was like 20,000 something like that. And it was like, well, you know, you look at an opportunity to make history. So at the time, I didn’t know that, you know, there were already one one, so four, five, whatever, and five of ordering, but for art, but it existed. And so fast forward, Doge gets in inscriptions, started to find out how to inscribe on Doge. It’s all speculation until like, shout out, I’ll be here till the day I die. Demo Doge, OG who on Twitter sent me $200 Doge. He was like, man, I love what you’re doing at crude Boys. I want to see you getting inscribed on something like take. He was like, here’s your 200 Doge. And small things like that. Sometimes we overlook how effective we are in the community when we help others. And that kind of reignited the fire. Like I was done, packed up ready to pivot until that one small thing that that guy did and invested in crude boys and it who empowered me to say, hey, you know what, keep pushing forward. So, you know, Doge has really got a lot going on right now, man. And with the leadership and a lot of the influencers helping to kind of pivot that. web three mind state to more of Doge friendly and you see Doge is like the face of mean coin and people either love it or you hate it well that that much love puts the pressure on building you know capabilities up. So right now we’re building an infrastructure platform where people are looking like mechanisms put those into inscriptions on, you know, web servers or IPFS systems I mean, like, it’s just an exciting time, man. Like, Doge has a lot going on, man. And I’m excited to be a part of it, bro. Yeah, it’s amazing, man. It’s amazing hearing that. Like, the opportunity over there and then someone investing in you like that. Because, you know, you have something great. Well, right now, we are building like a, an inscription platform and that’s like the next phase of our project. I love it. It’s so interesting hearing Doge to me. It excites me. It’s like a fascinating thing. It’s so new. And like I always say, it feels like early ordinal days, but just affordable. So much cheaper. You actually kind of have the ability to build. You don’t have to be a millionaire or have crazy skills running nodes to build like you do on Bitcoin. And so it’s super fascinating. We’re going to see what Doge is like in a few years. I mean, with Elon Musk being the biggest influence to ever exist and pushing X or Doge as finance payment on X, it’s going to be interesting. Yeah, that’s why I like these spaces. Because we get a little vibe of everything. We get Doge, we get Solana, we get Bitcoin, we get Base, we get ETH. It’s really cool. We’re kind of having these cross chain town hall meetings. Someone else, Kira, you’ve been hanging out there? You’ve been waiting so patiently. I want to hand the mic over to you, brother. How are you doing? Bro, I’m doing great, man. I appreciate the invite on, I spoke with, you know, obviously Kush earlier, he told me, you know, just come vibe out, nothing planned, and I love that and for me I’ve just been traveling a lot since Lisbon, you know, get my V card and sail the seas, so, yeah, just vibing, hanging out, you know jumping into spaces like this every now and then and you know, also just working on getting some invoices out for some partnerships through Cardinal and I see, I see a couple of friendly faces in here today so shout out to y’all thank you for having me. Absolutely, that’s awesome man, love the V card, that’s good, that’s good vibes. Anything cool with Cardinal, Cardinal’s always innovating, building cool stuff, what’s going on over there? Yeah man, real quick I know I spoke with you guys earlier, I know you know a lot but just for the crowd here obviously got some trade ideas coming out, I think we’ve been polishing that for a minute, probably too much but it’s been you know, good and bad but yeah so I think we finalized the next phase of that I’ve got some cool stuff with regards to you know, perpetual loans, earn yield on your, or interest on your yield token for any given collection and just some fun ideas in terms of base liquidity so lot of things coming down the pipeline but you know Cardinal, being an infrastructure layer two, we try not to you know, jump into too many things within the ecosystem, we want to make sure you know, people understand the utility and the tools that we do provide but but yeah, so we’ve got a couple things brewing look out for some of those things to come in end of year early Q1 and you know, we’re just heads down building man I think someone said it earlier but we get into the bear season and just trying to make the bear durable and then obviously when bull runs come around you know we want to stick the suits on and cap out so we’ll see. Nice man I had I didn’t know about the perpetual loans thing so now you got me interested. Very cool. Yeah man I mean without too much sideline, you know, we’re trying to think about creative uses so we want to make sure art is still art and we’re not trying to you know deface anything or provide the wrong image like that’s the first thing with regards to NFTs so like we’re cautious there but I think there’ll be some interesting tools and ideas that are kind of I guiding. Where are you? I see a lot of visuals of Lisbon now everybody planning something? Just kidding. Gathering some thoughts. Here it’s like running I see your visual background looks like you’ve been running around Lisbon getting all the good shots maybe just tell people what you’re showing off here. Yeah, yeah. No, it’s been a dream of mine to travel. Travel is actually one of the main reasons why I hum and haw between my next move in terms of my collecting, is because I always make real life connections on some of these places, and the proof is in the pudding. Like, you create cool shit with cool people, cool things will manifest, right? And I’m a visualist at heart, don’t get me wrong, but when it comes to places like Portugal, I see your waves look good. Lisbon, the waves are insane right now, and I just think boarding up to the next event, vibing and taking the goodness out of that. For me, my projects haven’t started, and to answer your question about Cardi, it’s oh, cool. What’s going on with V? The boys are still jamming, and when I collect, I do it 100% authentically. That’s why I kind of like, took you down here. Heck. If you know, you know. I’ve been with some of the other boys too, and doing what they’re doing. Dax, I’m not sure if you’re here, but you mentioned you were. Z offering services around incentives, which I’ve never seen before. We’re real quick. Kind of done talking right now. It’s your show, bro. No, man. I like listening. I appreciate the time. My main thing, and you hit it home, was just the power of patience. I came from a football background, so I’ll probably talk a little bit about that. But for me, patience has always been important. My first venture in web3 didn’t do well at all, and it would have been easier to just be like all
