Like, you got to do this one like a fucking man. And I did, and I'm telling you, it was like punching a metal wall. His hand is insanely strong. Holy cow. And so that was cool to meet him, but that fight with his sister is going to be wild. And then as far as, like, some of the other ones go, like, let's see, Omar, that the fight of the top fight for the Casey stuff.

Omar, this dude looks like a machine, and he's actually a 20% underdog, but it doesn't matter. He, he is going to come out hard. Brandon Jenkins is another really good one, guys. He. I've got a chance to. To hang out with him a couple times and talk with him. He's going to have a good fight against Joe Giannetti. He's always good, though. Like, that guy is like, he's a beef and he's.

I love it. He's got what he. He's got a strange style, though. Like, he gets beat up. Like, he takes a lot of face shots, but it's like one of those things that really, like, warms them up and then he, like, kicks it into high gear after that. I think he's gonna win because, like, sometimes you just piss the guy off and the quiet guy is the scary guy.

Being in the moment, whatever happened to be, like, he was very rigid during those ceremonial wayans. Like, basically just stood there, had his fists clenched at his sides, you know, with his arm straight down.

So it was kind of like a strange composure. But, you know, at the end of the day, like, he didn't react one or the other. So you could say, cool as a cucumber. And ready to go. Like, when I first started competing in jiu jitsu, like, get sparred, like, with, you know, people in my dojo for, like, hours on end, my first fucking fight, like, I was gassed within the first minute and I was like, what the fuck is your adrenaline goals? So, like, whoever can keep it composure and has a good cardio is going to. Absolutely, man. That's, that's like, there's, you know, these are some of the conversations that you get to have after you fought in, like, in a combat sport like that. Like, you understand. You could go through your training.

Like, I had a couple sparring sessions and some of them were, you know, never 100%, but, you know, you take a punch or any, give a punch, but again, it's, you never train or practice exactly the same level as you do when you're actually competing. And so, you know, you get in there and you get that experience and we call it fight iq, right?

Growth and Improvement

I have a much better fight iq now than I did right before, you know, before my fight. And it will continue to get better the more and more that I do, and I'm fucking pumped. The more and more I come to these events. I'm excited for next year, coming to some of the exotic destinations. It's really exciting to see having a conversation with LARPing and some of the guys that the whole idea is they see the value in having these events around the crypto conferences.

Planning for the Future

We went to Mexico City for the first IFC fight. That was a neutral territory. There was no conference around. There wasn't a big crypto presence. You had a lot of just normal locals, and it was cool, but not the same energy. And so knowing that the shift in focus is to have these events around the crypto conferences where we have a big presence of people who understand crypto blockchain, know that it's our first professional sports league.

And over time, obviously, that, you know, that blend of audience is going to change. But it's really cool for, you know, the IFC people to experience that adrenaline and the exposure and all that stuff that you get from it. It's wild, guys. It's wild. If you, if you're thinking you want to try that, like, it's something that is open to just about anybody in crypto, which is cool.

And if you're, like, training new people to fight and you're. You're going actually into competition, one of the first things you have to train out of people is that it's when you drop into sympathetic. Right? Parasympathetic sympathetic, and you get that rush of adrenaline, and people, they use way too much energy in that 1st 30 seconds, and you got to train that out. You got to learn pace when you're fighting.

That's one of those. One of the most important things you can teach new fighters. Learning pace. Yeah. And there's. We used to have when were gassed out, like, this is where you start learning when you're totally exhausted. This is where you start learning how to win fights because you got to be able to operate when you totally exhausted.

Well, and a lot of times, so, like, when I took taekwondo growing up, so, like, I do have my black belt, and, like, I've won fight, I've got the shit kicked out of me. Like, I've been on both sides of those things where. And that's why if you were to go to, like, jiu jitsu, like you mentioned, or if you go take karate or taekwondo, most of, like, the first half of your, like, class, if it's an hour long, is like the stretching and the kicks and the practicing, blah, blah, because they are tiring you out.

So that in the last 1015 minutes, when you practice your sparring, you are already tired. So your bad habits will essentially come out right away where they can help train you to better. And that's something new is like, you slap somebody up, right? So when. When you get out there and you start that training and you got somebody who needs to learn that, you slap them up.
