Behind the Mic

Good day, everyone. How are you guys doing? Good morning. Buenos dias. How is everyone doing today? Good, thank you. What’s up? Good, man. Enjoyed a little sunny side up this morning. How about yourself? I’m doing well. Thank you for asking. Love it. Hello, Michelle. Happy birthday, by the way. Thank you so much. Hello. Hi Michelle. Happy Birthday. I’ve just put myself on mute. I hope it was yesterday you had a little celebration. Yeah, we spent the weekend with some family. It was nice. Thank you, though. I hope you had a great weekend. Everyone’s good. So what’s the topic today? It’s generalized chill zone, I think. But we can take the conversation wherever we want it to go, as always. But sometimes it’s nice to have a vision or a path to go, but I think most of the people that are regulars in the room like to sort of phrase the questions every now and then or try not to go off on rants for too long. So what’s been up, Rock? How are you doing today? All right. I’m just busy with life, just having a busy day, travelling around that. But yeah, I’m just always on spaces, but usually I do a lot of listening, but sometimes I come up and I talk when the moment’s right. So it’s good to be here with you all. Yeah, that’s great. Thanks for coming up. Welcome. What’s something that you find that inspires you from day to day wise? Oh, right. I guess anyone that works hard and has a big goal in mind and has a passion just to move towards and achieve their dreams. It could be as simple as just people that put in the work day to day and have a positive mindset and are very grateful for life and they see the positive side of things and hard, hard, challenging moments. But then they just keep moving forward. And yeah, people kind of like that. For the most part, they inspire me. Yeah, those are admirable qualities to have. I think when people put themselves in those positions, whether it’s just the grindstone, they just get through it. No complaints. They just get on and just try to deliver. For sure. And likewise as well, those people that, even though they may go through something difficult and may be honest, approachable, but they have that, you know, good fortune, that good nature about them. And, you know, that kind of shines its light to others. And I think that’s great. It’s very inspiring. That’s for sure. I have a question. Sure. It’s more towards Trevor. So with all the traits that are coming out with the killer cubs for the bears, like if it’s similar, does it matter if, for instance, like the traits are the same? Like I know they have the red, like a red bandana for the killer cubs, but if it’s for the bears, if it’s a red bandana or the red double lightsaber, for instance, do those traits hold any rarity like they have previously? Or does it really matter that that’s not something I know about right now? Yeah, that’s a big debate right now. So in all honesty, it’s not clear completely. And a lot of people have various opinions around this. And look, in the last sort of 48 to 48 hours to 60 hours, I’ve been joining different spaces talking about this. And my personal perspective is that now I look at it. There’s there’s so many traits like if you look at the killer cubs, it seems to me that they’ve launched two points of evidence. So if you if you’ve looked at the latest thing that they brought out where they show the list of all the traits, if you go down the bottom, it shows CUV’s like, I don’t know, like if you scroll right at the bottom, it shows all the traits, right. And you just get to see what the most rarest ones are. But then if you go right to the bottom, it shows CUV, like all the way. And then they’ve only just recently released the combined image for those same traits you’re talking about, especially for the killer bears. It seems to be that it’s not affecting rarity. But then on the other hand, you’ve got other collectors, which is crazy, right? Because there could be like 200 or 100 with that trait, and there’d be like ten or even three, for example, in killer bears. So it’s debatable. And I don’t know what to say about it besides the fact that the the people that are in the community, they’re analyzing all this stuff, which is why I feel like it’s still way early. Like, I still am considering what is called the killer collections. But the trait angle, I honestly don’t know how that’s going to work out, man. So, like I’ve I’ve been observing different, like collectable nfts. Just keep this short. I came across doodles and doodles are in between. I’ve looked at larva lags. I’ve looked at gold apes, I’ve looked at the ones in the mutable x, like up and comers. I’ve even picked up a sub duck and I’ve considered potatoes, but I haven’t gone into potatoes. Right. And also a junkyard dogs and trash land. They’re new little small ones I’m mentioning because tiny. But each of these I’ve looked closely at rarity and even the I most believe here is like sneaky Ninja peeps and ones that are called the littles the real. But everyone has a different perspective on traits and how they manage it. And it’s just crazy because some of them are specific, like lillies, where they go it’s 0.05 m, it’s one of 45, and they’re running like 500. Right, right. And then that would be like considered a real rare. But then when you look at how much it grows over time, it takes longer for them to grow, compared to the big ones. So it’s like, no matter which way you turn it, there are leaders within the community that they look at the rarity from the person that builds, characters around them. So they put a story with the character they build around that normal holder, if he’s put a story him or her builds a personification around it. And that story could also increase the value, as well as the history that goes with it. So it’s it’s just a bit of a mesh right now that people are trying to figure out exactly. And there’s no clear indicator at this moment, which is problematic when you’re when you’re collecting yourself. That’s a great question to ask, though, Treasure. Yeah, for sure. And while you were talking, I just got a message from someone, which was like, KBR’s is also OG, which is why it’s like their main kind of thing. And then KBR Cub is sort of like the secondary. So it’s going to be a long time until the cub is actually making any sort of impact on the space when it comes to this kind of like a checklist when someone looks at it and goes, oh, what is it, kbr’s. Oh, Kbr’s right at the top. So yeah, it’s I think the future’s bright nonetheless. But yeah, I definitely appreciate that question. Yeah. And just to just to finalize this, I know what you’re talking about is if it was tiny collection you’re doing, but isn’t this collection like 3333 or something like the small one? Because then it might raise rarity. And the whole user angle will also tell you from like not user angle, the history that Wolf was talking about, the story background will make a difference. For sure. Yeah, 3333. Yeah. 100%. What I love about NFTs is the lore that can come with it, like the story behind it, because that does bolster and properly raise like certain NFTs over a few. Just maybe they’re just bland, I mean, I look at some of the communities out there and they’re crazy. Like there was one called the Funky Flies. I haven’t even thought about them for a long time, but I just remember that story popping up like ages ago and they had a whole backstory around like if you had a fly and got multiple flies and you could get airdrop of fly, it’s like lord just goes a long way within the NFT community. Very true. Speaking of the NFT community, obviously it’s quite vast and there are many decentralized projects. A question I would have perhaps is because I had this angle in mind for today is are you more focused strongly on decentralized or are you looking at centralized sort of angles? Because it’s like a catch 22 when you look at a hobby and think are you going to put all your eggs in one basket or do you sort of deviate from the two sides? Because I’ve noticed that it can be sort of a primary focus for some, but what are your thoughts? Look, I’m into whatever makes gains and however I can enjoy it. And I lean towards decentralized because of the ethos, like, I think the whole aspect of having a centralized thing is good for some people, having some knowledge around the market, but for others having something like nfts, which is personal, very own, away from the regulations, gives that individual freedom and they build around that aspect of going forward. So for me it’s a mixture of like not having everything in one hand because it’s like, do you want to have everything in one basket and have it just taken away from you just because they’ve had bad management of something or other it’s mix of the two for me. How about you es? You got any thoughts on what was repeated? Yeah, I mean, I’m all on the decentralized side. I think it’s super interesting that we’re seeing all these decentralized projects build and then some do really well in the decentralized ethos and then have centralized partners come into them. And I think from a team that I’ve been closely looking at, wormhole, uniswap and there’s one or two others that are quite large in terms of the market. They go, I mean, I’m strong on the decentralized side just because I hate regulation. I’m very anti regulation, especially around crowdsourced products. Back in the day, we used to have crowdsource funding through kickstarter, and all these big shots have taken it over, which isn’t the original purpose or ethos. To be honest, man, thanks very much for Jungle Freaks, just followed down there. Shout out to that team coming through here, man. Always loved the art from ex mad magazine artists. Sorry to scribble off and ramble, but welcoming everyone that comes in. It doesn’t matter if you’re big, small or king of the jungle. We welcome everyone that comes through here. Also, shout out to little sappy seal. Sorry, I can’t see who the first person is. It’s too small on my screen. I don’t know if someone’s got a better view of that to Shout out. Rock as well. You ran up to speak as well for. So I did, and I’ve completely forgotten my train of thought. So sorry about that. Hello? Have you been doing any more work by the way that you can share with everyone here today? In the world of printing ships, I’ve got some kind of release that I’m not announcing to anyone but this space because I think the nature of what you just said is so high quality and so honest. I just want to mention that I’ve got something coming out in November, probably mid November or early November. It’s called ship your idea. And it’s. Finally, it will showcase lots of the rare but different interpretation of sort of like graphically designed traits very specific to the kind of cubs area. They’re all going to be customized, but there’s nothing more that I can say at this stage. But definitely it’s something for next month that I hope will get people going. What do you think this project is going to be when it slowly gets out there? Like, what impact do you reckon it will have? I reckon I’m just going to start off with about a couple hundred general ones, probably around 250 or 200 perhaps. And then go from there because I want it to be quite clean. I want it to be quite intricate. It will definitely be hoodies, t shirts. The whole idea is to ship your idea, but I think it’s going to be geared around these sort of traits that you see on the killer cubs, but think something a little bit more advanced in terms of style, similar to like lacoste or you can think along those lines. We’re working closely, I’ve got another person who’s always working with me, so we’re trying to make it quite it’s going to be hopefully really appreciated. Like your nfts, there’s attention to detail in white clothing. Clothing is very specific and very nice. Like the way it’s done, I focus on the quality. And also because there’s a bit of the youth around, I’m like, oh gosh, I’ve got to be careful with what I’m making with this one. So, yeah, I don’t know. I don’t know which direction I want to go with what I, you know, to help promote the brand, but I’m trying to keep it like, you know, super clean, high end right now, professional more. But we’ll see as ponds. Make some announcements, maybe there can be things we can take from there to help promote what’s coming next. Did you get a chance to read Janus threads that we mentioned earlier on at the beginning? Because there are some kind of terms and conditions in the mint that we may receive some kind of product, and there’s way that your licensing could beneficial or something along those lines. So, like, speculation is obviously out there. Like, people have decided to dig into it a little bit more so than others. But, you know, I think what your, what the content they create and is, you know, really cool. So I don’t think anyone would think that it’s, you know, doing a disservice to the brand as such. You know, you’ve obviously got some kind of experience. Like, what is your background, if you don’t mind me asking? Basically, I’m a print brand. I really like the printing side of hoodies, t shirts and merchandise. So I’ve always tried to maintain this very professional not be like Leipo or anything but keep it higher so people can trust. They can wear it for walks, soccer, football, you know, any activities in life. So yeah, geographical design printing around the space. But I haven’t been here for more than about a month or so. Probably a bit longer than a month, but definitely enjoying it. And like I said, you’ve got two sides to this. You’ve got the existing notion of you wear what brand you want, but blockchain gives that whole design that wasn’t possible – basically, really amped to keep this going. I’ve got a background in that, probably been doing it for eight years plus. And been consulted by various rights teams, especially Tiger Print, London Wise. That’s great. And you’ve chosen to step into the Bufferverse community. That’s great, man. So welcome. I’m looking forward to seeing what you deliver here because it’s good. I know I look like I’m going to my cousin’s wedding in a dad blazer. You look great. And I just want to say that I think the. The history angle and everything that you do is great for the community as a whole. I think people will be very receptive of that kind of knowledge and the sort of energy that you bring forth with it. Thanks. Because I’m just myself, at the end of the day. You know, I’m not putting out any wolf boils like this is, like, pure standard. I just know that what’s within our reach and bearing in mind, where NFTs are in the UK, it’s something that’s picking up. So it goes to show – it’s moving across the world. It’s crazy. Yeah. Congrats, man. And it’s really nice to see different products being made and put out as well. It’s high quality stuff, but Yeah. And make sure you reach out to the team with regards to, you know, working with them because I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to, which is good for you, mate. Who’s speaking? That’s exactly right. If he’s been around for only a month and he’s already stepped up last month like a true OG, that’s good enough credibility, isn’t it? I’ve been around for three months here but yeah. I strongly suggest that you, you know, just tell everyone what you’re about and you know, the community will reach out to you or, you know, even just have it out here in these spaces, but we’ll be definitely able to catch your breath on that angle for sure. Michelle, I believe there was a space that you wanted to mention earlier. Yeah, yeah. So also if you look at the collections with the second microphone of the cubs, you’ll see that the five traits have been released recently. So I believe Rock probably took it to the next level. Yeah, yeah. The clothing traits. I did the sunny side up hoodie because that’s my favorite because obviously sunny side up my space every Tuesday morning. And. Yeah, so also, just want to mention there’s a space tonight at 08:00 p.m. called Alpha Hour and Freakin Lincoln or Josh, the henhouse founder, will be speaking on that space about real world assets and running a business in web three. So maybe I’ll pin that up if I can. Of course you can. More than welcome to pin. Use that space. Use that space if you want to. That’s what it’s there for. So, yeah, just closing off with rock finally as well. Thanks for coming up today. It’s been great to get to know you verbally a little bit better. You’re more than welcome to come up whenever time permits of if you see that I’m hosting a space, it’s always great to have different, you know, different types of people from different places in the world to come up and discuss, you know, different topics and even change the topic if. If we’re going a bit deep into one thing. But I think we’ve covered a few nice areas in terms of various things today. And like I said, if you want to support what we all do, then by all means, you know, attack people’s timelines in any way that you can. Even just a simple like is obviously beneficial. I’ve now got a soaking wet pomeranian on top of me because he’s just had a bath, so I’m going to give him a bit of love as well in a minute. Have a great evening, everyone. And he’s shuffling along the floor, like, trying to get the wet off him and he doesn’t like being washed. What a great addition to the household. This dog was around six to eight weeks ago. It brings joy to my life, actually. Right, let’s go. I’m going to leave the space and hopefully see you guys all here same time next week. I’ll post the link tomorrow or the day after and we’ll hope to keep growing these in the way that we do. Thanks for coming up, everyone. Jana Rock, everyone that’s down there supporting week in, week out, I really appreciate it. Catch you all soon. Peace.
