Next up, Uniswap announced Uni chain, an ethereum l two designed for Defi.

Optimization of Liquidity

Yeah, but look at that. Instant transactions. They're gonna launch with 1 second block times and 250 millisecond block times coming soon. Isn't that still slower than, like, sui and Solana? So is the idea, would I go use this? Sorry, is the idea. You go to unit chain and you just do your transactions there. Basically, my guess would be you sit on the chain that you're on and you're swapping through unichain and getting liquidity on your specific chain.

Consolidation of Resources

But by having unichain, they can aggregate all the liquidity over there instead of it being fragmented across all these l two s. That would be my guess, which makes a lot of sense. That way, you're all like, no matter what l two, you're on. As long as it's supported by unichain, you'd be getting better prices because it's all consolidated liquidity. That'd be my assumption.

I'm the news, and none of this stuff feels consolidated, to be honest. Like, I'm getting so tired of having to, like, remember where my money is parked. Like, that's. That's. That's the bit I'm always like, a, how do you get to the chain? B, once I have money over there, do I have a wallet that is going to tell me that I have money there? When I lose interest in that chain, for whatever reason, is it going to tell me which apps that money is in?

I don't think any individual users are going to be, like, using it as much.

It's more, I think the other platforms will be building on top of it. So you'll have. It's basically, I guess, simplifying the process for developers would be my guess. And you're not even going to know you're using unit chain. That would be like, the bull case here especially. They're specifically mentioning cross chain liquidity. Dozens of chains. They're partnering with oracles like pith.

That's my guess here. But, yeah, interesting stuff coming out of uniswap. Let's move on over to the SEC. So the SEC, we had two big news stories, come out. They charge liquidity provider Cumberland for operating the unlicensed crypto as an unlicensed crypto dealer. so just like another string of charges. And then we also saw one of their commissioners, Mark Uye, Ueda.

Basically say that the SEC has been a disaster for the entire crypto industry. and I think we're seeing this more and more when we're, like, looking at, like, regulation by enforcement. We're not seeing clear guidelines coming from the SEC. What do you make of, like, some of the actual members of the SEC coming out and, like, just, like, blasting their own organization? Right? So we already have Department of Justice to take care of, like, actual fraud.

So all the SEC does is fuck with the legitimate companies and try to take money from them. And I'm sure that really helps, you know, innovation in this industry also as well. If I was, like, the head of the SEC, and I, like, the last.

Impact of SEC on Financial Entities

There's not many opportunities where you get to just say, this is how much money I have made for this company. I think the SEC chair under the 2008, after that period. So I'm going to say, like, 2009 to 2012 was probably like a golden years to go around fining all the banks and all the entities that messed up during that period and being like, you did something bad to consumers, we're going to fine you. And so the SEC, whoever the chair was at that time, would have made millions, hundreds of millions. If not going to the billions of dollars doing fines, then we have the quiet years. Crypto is now in that new golden era for the head of the SEC, where they can go through these shakedowns. The head of the SEC brings in a ton of money, and at the end of their reign, when they're about to get fired, what are they going to say? They can turn around and be like, under the SEC? I brought in this amount of money despite how much I was hated. And I do think Gary Gensler is thinking a bit like that. How much money can I bring in for the SEC? So my, like, my track record, my legacy is the head of. The head of this entity was that is how much money, or millions and billions I bought in these kind of periods, they don't happen very often. I think banking was the last one. And now crypto, where you can go after so many of these so-called unregistered brokers.

Yeah, I mean, it's. It's. It's tough. And I think, like, we're seeing like this choke, .2.0 where they're just trying to go after a lot of these parts that are fundamental to crypto. We're seeing some people in the audience here saying basically that this is a big market maker. When you take away this on chain liquidity and you get them to pay fines, shut down business in the United States, that's going to affect how crypto markets work in a way that. So it's tough to continue to innovate when things like that happen. Does anybody else have anything left on the SEC before we move on? All right, so let's jump on this one really quickly. I only want touch on it shortly because I love when Zack Xpt does these little exposes. So he didn't. He shared an investigation into the home invasion. I don't know if anyone saw us. Basically, someone had $4.3 million of crypto stolen from them. The person who had it stolen from him, I guess, had doxed himself and posted, like, his holdings at some point. And essentially armed men came to their home with machetes, posing as delivery men. He went through the wallets of the different people, and then he had access to the private chat. And what was funny is, hey, I'm at the door, and they're like, I don't see a doorknob.

They're, like, talking about trying to figure out, like, where the handle is on this, like, crazy door. I know some people are giving him flak saying, like, they put Murad in danger potentially by showing all of his wallets when you're seeing more and more crime, especially in Europe. So I don't know if you guys have any take on this, like, the timing of him releasing this or about this individual. Those wallets were going to get leaked regardless. Yeah, 3% of these points. Like, if you. It's not like he. Yeah, he didn't talk to an ain't on person. This guy's been publicly going around saying how much he owns of this shit. So that's overblown. Yeah. And it's like, or this wallet's attached to this telegram scammer. So for him to dox nine wallets, it's like people, I think inherently were like, oh, this is him trying to say Murad's a bad actor, when in reality he hasn't done anything wrong. And that's what got a lot of people upset. They're like, dude, he's just bull posting his bags and he's even given, like, exits and stuff. I think it's also because now the people who are in those trades know that if those wallets move any money, they're going to lose money. So it's like, there's like, a level of risk, I guess, that they're like. Yeah, I've heard there's been a lot of crypto robberies, armed robberies in western Europe recently. Probably coming in America, too. I'm sure those Venezuelan gangs that just rolled right through the border, probably down to take a couple million dollars in crypto for some people.

Luckily, in America, you can have guns, you can have a shotgun, and you can put what's called buckshot inside of it. And just one blast through your front door, all four of those guys will be what they call incapacitated.
