Behind the Mic

I can imagine plenty of utility in the future for these items. But for me, the main thing at the moment is to save the value and secure it for the future, I guess. Correct. Yeah, I mean, you know, I think you've got kind of, you know, the, which we see now, correlation of, on the blockchain of, you know, gaming items and in-game merchandise. Eventually it will then become, you know, gaming will be synonymous with NFT, right? I mean, at a course point in time. If you look at the numbers right now, it's already kind of headed there. And I think also what will happen is the, like you said, the utility of the NFTs will increase. You'll see some NFT projects right now, they have roadmaps. They have initiatives, right? So you make a purchase today, but it makes the utility of the purchase, of the item go up because you go back to it. And I think the same concept will probably also translate to gaming. You know, sometimes you play an RPG, right? And the deep pockets translation of that, as far as taking all their own mechanics, and they just do that and tokenize it. I know Matt wants to say something. Yeah, no, Daniel, like, perfect. It's like, I just also want to add, we cannot compare the utility of just an image, JPEG, right? Right. But when we talk about gaming, there are niches around all the space. Like, let's just put a very simple example. If you guys remember the experience back then on MSN messenger, you have the first tokens possible for you to interact with, which is pretty much super simple at that point, right? So right now we're seeing even further evolution of that. Like, the notion of having an NFT, there's so much curiosity to cover here. We can spend hours on that. So let's go back a bit and see what else can be good topics as well for this space. What's your take on the distinction between traditional game economies and blockchain game economies? Yes, there's lots of evolution around the space coming. I mean, we need a lot as well to educate people on the values of what blockchain can bring into the space with respect to our time and effort on the R&D. So there is a lot to cover, and that's why we focus mostly here on this project. Yeah, I think too, like the issue with traditional gaming economies and blockchain gaming economies is blockchain started away. Let's reward people for playing the game, which is a smart idea rather than people just buying skin and things like that that just sit there. But the problem that you do face on the blockchain is everyone tends to have these pumps and then these gigantic dumps, which tends to happen. And I think too many game developers are trying to implement an economy in that regard rather than utilizing traditional and blockchain. So you think if you / every single thing around the blockchain, you're likely going to get these massive pumps and dumps and then invariably it's the end user that suffers. So it's really important that if you are developing an economy for a game, look at how traditional games rolled out economies and rather than everyone follow like a clone strategy that came from initial success. You know, drive success, but focus on the long-term solution. So you're talking about prolonged engagement for your games and then using economy to kind of supplement the growth increase rather than it being the only way people make money. 100 percent agree. Also, Matt, like, back in the day, a lot of us here were children playing around on the steam marketplace, right? And that mindset of just removing an economy inside of a game, right? The idea obviously of the steam marketplace back then was to give some freedom to the players to do stuff around it. And then we saw people doing decent stuff on the betting places. But as it evolved, we saw also other things that happen, like skins being taken out of the market and the behavior of the gamers around those skins that would impact the prices going crazy, right. For example, with the howl, I remember that. And like that, it happens in many other games, right? Not necessarily only shooters. We saw obviously on tv what happened with the gold and the impact that it has outside the gaming ecosystem. But the real world stuff on the venezuelan power shortcut happened. And yeah, there's so many like, city cases that I would love us to speak here in these spaces. It's so lovely having you all here. So my final words for this would be, let's keep it up. It's a pleasure being here with such like minded people and looking forward to be here next week. Here you all. Thank you for being here. Yeah, 100 percent no, thank you everyone for coming. And thanks to the guests as well for some very interesting takes today. I took a lot out that today and made me realize actually, player control is quite a hot topic as well. So we'll definitely be talking about that again soon. Thank you very much. Check out soulbound as well. We've got a lot going on at the moment. It's a social gaming platform. If you're a game, get in touch to get profiled on there. If you're a player, get on there to start earning drip as well because your drip determines your allocation for our token drop as well. And if you're a content creator, well, you've got a lot to look forward to on the platform as well. So definitely check that out as well. So until next week, thank you very much. And yeah, have an enjoyable evening or morning, wherever you are. Happy summer or winter solstice for everyone. Thank you. For you guys too. It was a pleasure. Yeah, thank you for having us. Bye. Thanks for having us.
