Behind the Mic

Welcome and Introductions

Hello, everybody. Welcome to the tavern. We're going to give it a couple of minutes, let some more people flood in, and then we'll kick things off. Aries, let me know if you can hear me, okay? I can hear you. Okay. Hikipe, can you please join? Did you get the invite to speak, sir? Did you? Did you? Okay, let's see if our. If our guest for today accepts the invitation to speak. We would like to hear you, sir, tonight. Eldar, anyone else I should call on stage or. No? So.

Game Announcement

Of course, guys, we are meant to be having the new treasure game on the space today, but I believe there was a bit of a time clash. So maybe we're going to get Sasha to hop on for ten minutes and intro their game. If not, it's just going to be me, Vanessa, and Hecate P. Kicking it. Chilling. We'll maybe even go off topic a bit and just talk to you guys about kind of things that have happened today and upcoming news in web three and stuff we've done recently. So it should be a cool space either way. Well, you're both in here, so it's already cool.

Mic Check and Announcements

Oh, you're too kind. Heck it, p, you want to do a quick mic check, brother? Absolutely. Hello? Hello? Yes. Yes. Sounded sexy as ever. Awesome. Okay, well, I've done the announcement in discord. Now we'll let some people join in. Let's just kick things off. So, hello, everybody. All the web 3d gens. Thank you for assembling here. It's time to laugh and cheer because Tavern Thursday is here. You know I like to rhyme because I've served a lot of time. Anyway, welcome.

Episode 37 Introduction

It's episode 37. Obviously, we do this Twitter space every Thursday. I did just mention, but in case anyone just joined, we are meant to be joined by, of course, Hecate P. And the new treasure game. But there seems to be a bit of an emergency time clash with the new treasure game. So maybe we will see Sasha from Unchained join us for ten minutes to intro their project. If not, we're here. We're gonna have a good time anyway, so I appreciate you guys all joining.

Synergy Land Updates

Of course, in the tavern, we do our synergy land updates, and we have two topics. As I said, if the project doesn't join, then maybe we'll go off topic a bit and just have a cool conversation. But I will now hand the mic over to my amazing, beautiful co-host, Ares, and she is going to run you through the latest synergy land updates. Thank you. Thank you, kind sir. So today well, where should I start?

Upcoming Playtest

We had an exciting day today at Synergy Land because, yes, we are preparing the playtest. Yes, the playtest is just around the corner. Our dungeons playtest. The moment you've been waiting to grind in those dungeons, guys, you will finally be able to do that. We just announced today on our discord when the playtest, the dungeon play test, will take place. It will be from the 22nd to the 25 October. Okay. We have not disclosed all, but we already did some information.

Playtest Eligibility

I can tell you guys that are very esteemed holders, SMG holders, synergy holders, synergy and badge holders, and my island owners will be able. And also, and also, I don't want to forget this. Our gold roles, discord. Gold roles, will be able to join the playtest right from the start. On the first day. The first day. The 22nd is just. It's a private playtest. Okay? Private playtest.

Prizes and Competitions

What can I say more about the playtest? So. Well, we have prizes. Lots of. Lots of prizes. We have two rounds of competition. Each round has three leaderboards. The top five grinders in each leaderboard will win prizes. So that's a lot of prizes. That's a lot of prizes, guys. So, yes, yes. There will be. Sorry, sorry to interrupt you, but I'm gonna ask the question that's on everyone's mind.

Hints About Prizes

Can you give us a hint at what those prizes might be? I think I can. Okay. We have lots in our pockets to give away, from islands, to pets, to synergens, even some badges. So, yeah, we have. We have something good for you guys. So hopefully, you guys enjoy the tests, the playtest, the 20, the first 24 hours. It's just for our dear holders, the community, the ones that have been supporting this project since the beginning.

Showcase for Content Creators

And of course, to Rkols joining us today, because today was also, we held a private showcase for content creators to give them a first look at what's going to be this new update. What is the dungeons, what it's all about, what will happen in those dungeons, what will be dropped. What can you craft? What can you not craft? What will happen? And fortunately, today we have here Mister Heck P. He was one of the creators on that call today.

Feedback From the Call

So I think we can ask firsthand, right, Eldar, what do you think? What are your thoughts, Hecky P, about today's call? Yeah, let's get some feedback. It was very cool. It was very exciting. There was about. Oh, gosh, I think there was about 30 creators in the call. Maybe even more. At one point, I think I counted 30. Yeah. Just to put it out there.

Content Creation Insights

We had 40 was the peak we had. Wow. Yeah. And it was just over. It was over an hour long, I think, hosted by Madeleine. So, Oscar. Yeah, it was awesome. We got to see. There's going to be, I'd say, so much content put out over the next couple of days by some of the people who are there. So anyone who's interested, I guess, keep an eye on people's twitters or synergylands Twitter.

New Features and Items

I'm sure they'll retweet some of it. But, yeah, we got to see. A new pet was in action. We got to see some of the dungeon creatures, we got to see some of the abilities, we got to see the allure forge again. We got to see some of the new drops that come out, we got to see some of the new nfts, how they'll work, how you can create them, what drops you might get.

Anticipation for Dungeon Playtest

We got to see the boss in action again. There was just so much. It was so cool. So, yeah, really, really hyped for the dungeon playtest. You missed the most important part, especially the most important part for you. I did miss the Amazon word for it. Yeah, I'm not good at this. There's gonna be some cool new skins in the game, and if you look at my Twitter, I might have leaked one of the best skins that are coming out in the game.

Skin Showcase

Can we pin the tweet on the space real quick? Yes, sir. I'm Twitter noob. I don't know. Yeah, so the guys have actually created a skin of me in the game. So you can run around with a bag in your head while killing everything in the dungeon, which I thought was pretty awesome. Yeah. So I think there's going to be a loyalty program for creators.

Creator Loyalty Program

So if other creators want to get a skin of them in the game, or maybe a pet that looks like something related to them or their content, they can apply through that. So, yeah, really awesome program. And, yeah, I'm really honored to be one of the first ones to go in there. Yeah, it's awesome. Thank you, guys. Oh, thank you, Techapi. You've been, like, super fan of Synergy Land, super supportive, and I'm glad that you got to be the first one to have a skin because you look awesome in those shorts.

Content Creator Showcase Recap

First of all, you look amazing in those shirts. And I see we have here mister small premens, Mike Lau himself. He was also at the content creator showcase. Sir, if you want to come upstage, we can definitely call you if you'd love. I would love to have you here, mister Mike Lau. Do actually have unchained that have just come up on stage.

Introducing Sasha from Unchained

Oh, hopefully the space isn't glitching for you guys, but unchained is a speaker for me. Thank you for joining us. Sasha, I know that you're on a bit of a time crunch, so we are right in the middle of getting some feedback right now. But I'd love for you to just jump in, give us that intro on your game because I know you need to be super quick. So we would love to hear about.

Mike's Hesitance

If Mike is coming up. I have no way would ever get in front of him. Also, I'm scared to do that. All right, well, what we do is we'll invite Mike up and if he wants to come up, then you can speak now. And if Mike comes up, then he can butt in front of you. Okay, well, we'll want to be one. We'll sort it out in a dungeon.

Wrapping Up

But guys, super honored. Nice, nice. Let's go. Super honored by the reception of the community. It was very positive. Glad to be on treasure. We chose the chain because it fits the narrative, right? We are building dungeon crawlers. I think treasure is pretty famous for that. And I'm sure more will come. And a bunch of us are building different kinds of dungeon crawlers, different takes on it.

Building Unique Experiences

And I mean, you can build 100 different games on the same kind of core idea. So it's very cool. Very excited to be here. We've been basically in stealth for a while and still going to be kind of just sitting back there building. We don't have a lot of programs in our discord. We have a referral program. So come in, bring in some people, get some rewards and we'll have more.

Looking Ahead

But for the next couple of months, we're still focusing on building. Very excited. It seems the reception is super cool. People want to play. I don't see, I could be wrong, but I don't see anything like our game in this space. And so we're kind of excited to bring something new and fresh on what it is for those who don't know what essential the game is.

Elevator Pitch

And we need to find a way to do a better elevator pitch. But it's essentially a battle royale extraction looter in a text based dungeon crawler package. And so it's massively multiplayer where you go in, you can explore the dungeon, everybody spawns in a random spot on a huge, huge map and you can explore the dungeon. And at first, you won't run into too many people, and you'll loot some chests, kill some monsters, level up, et cetera.

Interactions Within the Dungeon

But then you're going to run into somebody. And when you run into somebody, you'll have a choice to challenge them or trade with them or flee if they challenge you first. And every decision in a dungeon has a cost. So if you challenge and you win or you lose, let's say you lose 10% of everything you have. And if you win, you know, you get the 10%. And if you flee, you will lose a random item then you carry.

Consequences of Choices

So if you have a legendary on you that you want to protect, so you choose to flee. Oh, man. You can still lose it just by random chance. And, and that's kind of, you know, the gist of it is like, it's. It almost like, pushes people towards fighting. But some people may choose to, you know, run away and try another luck to finding more items.

Game Dynamics and Competition

So maybe they're just farmers, they're harvesters, they're scavengers of the dungeon, while others will feel like fighters and gladiators and will risk everything every time. And then the map basically shrinks. So, like, there are new parts of maps that open every couple days. And in essence, it's just a new, smaller map. And so you'll run into other people more and more often. This goes on until day 15, when the dragon. The dragon wakes up and the lair opens. Now, the dragon has been hibernating, but you, who have been captured by the dragon for many years and been forced to duel other people to death for all those years, you have so much vengeance inside of you, and you just want to kill the little fucker who is not very little, many times bigger than you. And so you take the chance and you say, you know what? Screw it.

Challenge and Rewards

I'm not going to run most of you, I've supposed. And you will go and challenge the dragon. And if you win, and if you are the first person to win, you will claim 20% of the price pool. And depending on how many people play the game, it could be up to $100,000. So that's the game. And then the season will end, and we'll go back to our caves and develop new features and improve, and then in a couple months, we'll open a new season. And the whole shtick that we have with this game is there are many games out there that ask you to play hours per day, or I could reward you for playing more and try to build a sense of you're tied to the game and you're making their world, and that's cool, but because there's already so many.

Unique Gameplay Approach

And we just thought, okay, can we do something completely opposite where actually, if you try to play our game for more than 20 minutes a day, we'll just tell you, chill out, son. And you can't really make any progress past that. You can still be in chat. You can be in what we call the area, like the camp outside the dungeon. You can trade, you can chat, but you can't really be in a dungeon making progress. And that way, when you go to sleep, you know that nobody else can move more than 20 minutes a day either. So nobody's mining it out while you're sleeping. And so this game then is targeted at people who are busy in real life, who are families trading, you know, doing meme coin degen shit.

Target Audience and Community

And they just want to, like, have some good, competitive, real stakes, highly competitive fun, but not something that takes up a lot of their time because they just don't have it. So that's our audience. If you're in that audience, please welcome to Unchained. Come to our discord hang out, say you love or hate the art, vote on our music tracks, and help us create the best we can create. And stay tuned for further updates. Awesome. Do you have to dip now, or can I ask you a few questions before we go? Yeah, I guess a few questions. We have five minutes. Would love to. Okay, cool.

Game Release Timeline and PvP Mechanics

So, I mean, that all sounds amazing. That exactly sounds like my type of game. So do you have a timeline for the release? Yeah, we're hoping for alpha end of this year and beta q one and then release hopefully early q two of next year. So let's say by April ish. And. And how will the kind of PvP mechanics work? Because obviously you said that you can fight someone. Is that like preset fighting or is it like you're gonna be controlled by fucking someone else? Yeah. Always in control is one of the core sort of things, but always in control in a way that you can play from a toilet.

Fighting Mechanics Explained

Okay, so it's right now the fate of fighting works. You meet somebody, you challenge somebody, has the first turn, and you have x number of seconds to decide. It's currently pretty simple system, but it's effective. So you decide, do you attack high or do you attack low? And the person then on the opposite end has to decide, do they defend high? Do they split their defense or do they defend low? Right. And if they guess wrongly, they cut extra damage. If they guess correctly, they reduce damage taken. And if they split in the middle, it's just like flat damage. And then of course there's crit chance. And then you may have certain effects, like maybe magical damage, physical damage. We're still deciding on that.

Game Theory and Strategy

So that system right now, pretty. So it's basically rock, paper, scissors, but it allows you to win fights that you would be pretty unable to win if it was just a flat kind of thing. But at the same time, you can get unlucky and lose some things. So if you're a good mind reader, if you have telepathy, you're going to do pretty great. Yeah, I like that. It's kind of balanced. There's not just going to be a couple of guys that are just running the dungeons and just stealing loot from everyone. Yeah. And it's not only real time, but it's because it's like sort of turn based and it's on the backend.

Social Elements and Competitive Edge

Other people can watch you play. So what we want to do is when we see two people with a lot of important loot or high number of tokens enter a fight, we'll tweet that this fight is going on, right. And somebody can catch it and just click the link and watch it live and see them battle it out. So our idea is to make this like you see people posting about their fantasy top experience at cards. Like, our idea is to take over the timeline with unchained fights and progression. There'll be a leaderboard that's publicly viewable as well. Maybe we'll see some kind of heat map in terms of where people are on the map.

Game Engagement and Unique Offerings

But the idea is like, this is a social experience for the three weeks. It should be fun. You should feel like you're fighting the timeline, you're fighting other people on your friends list, and your job is to kill all of your friends. Okay. That's the quote of the day. Awesome. It sounds super engaging. I'm super excited to play. I think we're going to have you back on for another space when you. When you've got a bit more time. If you want to dip out now, please go ahead. I think we're going to roll on topic number one and discuss some things that have been happening over at synergy land today.

Conclusion and Future Engagement

But I do appreciate you taking the time, even though you're kind of double booked up this evening. No, guys, thank you so much. Thank you for all the support. I can't wait to return it whatever way we can. And especially the smalls. I mean, they just rated us hard. So, Mike, thank you and thank every founder on the treasure chain. I look forward to meeting you all. You know, have more time to talk and learn about your projects as well and play them. So thanks again. Goodbye, everyone. Thanks for joining us. Bye bye.

Final Thoughts

Have a nice evening. Okay, so there we go, people. We managed to get unchained on for a short amount of time. You've heard the bit of Alpha there. Lots to come with. Unchained. Super excited. Obviously, every time there's a new treasure game, it's always an exciting moment. Obviously, we did invite you up, Mister Predin, if you don't want to come up, no worries. I will send you another invite again, in case you did want to give us a.

Discussion on Off the Grid

He's busy. He's busy, but he will listen to the rest of the. To the rest of the space. Oh, he's just like, why am I miss. Why do. Why do people know that? He wrote. He wrote on that. How do people know that and I don't? He wrote on the. On the comment here on the space. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Well, we'd love to have you on the space again soon, prim. Okay. So where were we up to?

Reflections on Showcase

Sorry? Me and Vanessa were just saying before the tavern, we feel kind of fried this evening. It's been a quite a long day, but okay. So positive on the showcase then, Heckett, you enjoyed it? Yeah, it was awesome. Yeah. So looking forward to pumping out some tweets and maybe some shorts and stuff about what we saw. Very cool, very excited for the playtest. And you know what's really exciting, though, as well? Having those leaderboards, because I asked Madeleine before if we'd have leaderboards for the launch of the dungeons, and he was like, dunno, not sure.

Community and Multiplayer Aspects

So it just brings that kind of competitive edge to the game, which I think is cool because I think something that a lot of people were looking for is that kind of multiplayer aspect to the game. So while we're waiting on multiplayer dungeons and co op dungeons, at least this brings kind of some competitive community spirit to the game, which is nice. Yes, that's very true. It kind of bridges the gap. Like, while we're waiting for that co op dungeon stuff, we've got the leaderboards so people can compete.

Leadership and Competitive Spirit

And you know me, I'm fucking super competitive. I'm going to be going for the top spot, guys, no more streaming once a day. We're probably going to be streaming 9 hours a day. I'm getting to the top of the leaderboard. And it's not going to be like when I'm live on Twitch. If I win, whoever comes second gets the thing. Guys, if I come at the top of the leaderboard, I'm taking those rewards. So you've got to beat me to them.

Transition to Off the Grid

But okay, I think because obviously we just had the treasure game on. Anthony. Don't put your thumb down at me, sir, because we just had the treasure game. One, I think we'll skip the first topic of the space because there is something I want to talk to Hecate p about instead. And I think everyone else will want to talk about this as well because it kind of shook Twitter over the last few days. And it's the launch of this new web three game called off the grid.

Personal Experiences and Insights

And the reason I also want to speak to this about Hecket is because Hecket actually had, I'm not sure, access keys, early access keys. And heck, it was kind enough to give me one of those keys. And we played the game while the game was still under NBA. Oh, we not have to say that. No, we are. I just probably wasn't meant to give you a keyword. Oh, shit. Okay.

Game Review and Impressions

I found a key down a dark alleyway and put it in my PC and it worked. Anyway, so we played this game. I had a super fun time. I'm actually going to probably be playing it later today, but heck of you. What were your thoughts on off the grid and how do you see it playing out in future? Can't hear you if you're speaking. Heck it. Yes, you can. Okay.

Gameplay Experiments

Sorry. I have a bad habit of hitting the mute button. Yeah. So I applied to play off the grid back in January when I heard about it first. and then I applied to another program, I think in April, and I actually only got my keys about a week ago. I think it's because I have an AMD card. No love for AMD. I don't know.

Production Quality of Off the Grid

but yeah, off the grid. It honestly, it has some of the best production value of any web three game I've played. and it honestly, that. So when you load up the game, they have a couple of intro videos and they're actually really engaging videos. They're videos that you actually want to watch. Normally, people skip all the videos when you load up a game. They're actually really cool.

Engaging Game Mechanics

They're kind of funny. they look really good. Then when you get in the game, it kind of feels like a cross between Apex and, pubg. For me. That's kind of my feeling of bit when I play it plays really well. The guns feel really good. It just feels like a normal, I know, I hate saying this a normal game or web two game, but the quality is just right up there.

Perception of Web Three Games

So if someone said, oh, this is an NFT game or a blockchain game or a crypto game or whatever the normies say, you kind of be surprised because you wouldn't know the difference, basically. So yeah, quality is really good. And because I think it worked really well over Twitch and YouTube over the last couple of days because the quality is really good. They could attract these really big streamers and creators to partner with them and they were willing to put their name to the game and say, yeah, I'm willing to stream it for x number of hours or whatever it is.

High Profile Streamers

So they got people like, I'm sure you've all seen it, Ninja Tim the Tatman scump, even doctor disrespect was streaming it, although he probably wasn't partnered. We had like, Ludwig was partnered. So like loads of really big people. And even right now, I think just before the stream or before the space, I had a look, they had 134,000 people watching it on Twitter. And there was another, I think 25 or 30,000 on YouTube.

Popularity and Reach

And there's probably millions of views on videos on YouTube over the last day. So it's really big. A lot of eyeballs. I did not expect the numbers to be that big on Twitch and stuff.

Introduction to 'Off the Grid'

That's crazy. But I realized that we didn't actually tell people what the game is. So in case you don't know what off the grid is, it's a battle royale third person shooter. It's not a first person shooter. Third person shooter. Battle royale. It's kind of like, I would say it's set in future. So for example, you have like robotic limbs and stuff, so you can like de attach your arms and legs and get different arms and legs and they have kind of different perks and all this stuff. But it's as heck. AP said, like when we first, well, when I first loaded up the game, I was first away, first of all, blown away by the cutscene it gives you. It was super high production value. It seemed just crazy high quality. And it didn't feel like a web three game whatsoever. It literally felt as if I was playing the new warzone update or some shit. It was. It was great. And I would recommend if anyone hasn't played it, go and check it out. It is on the Epic Games launcher. Of course I'm not promoting another web three game of Synergy land is better.

Game Dynamics and Earning Potential

They did say. They did say they're not a web three game. Yes. They're like putting themselves in that boat where it's like optional. Exactly. You don't have to do nfts and crypto, but there is the option, which I think is also great. But as Heckapi said, to have all these amazing big streamers, like even if they're paid to play the game, the fact that they're willing to put their name or profile picture, whatever, next to a web three game is awesome and it's making progress. And I think any game, even if it's not developed by Synergy games, that comes and ups the quality is going to be insane for the space. You know, it's just levels. And we need to keep upgrading and making web three games triple a. And I would just recommend you guys go check it out to really understand how it works. I mean, heck, a peak. I not as experienced as you do you want to break down how you think it's going to work in a play to earn aspect? Like how do people actually earn from that game?

Earning Mechanism Explained

That's a great question and I wish you told me about it beforehand because I would have researched it. I'm not on obscene. If you don't know, then no, I actually don't know. I know in game. So the goal of the game kind of is to find what they call a hex and extract it using one of the extractors in the game. And then when you get out of that particular game, you go back to your lobby, you can open the hex using guns token. So whether and then you earn guns for every game that you play. And if you do better, you get more guns. And if you die straight away, you might get 0.1 of a guns token. So I guess the question would be then can you extract those guns tokens out into a wallet and trade them? That would be my assumption, but not entirely sure. Sorry for just bringing that one on you. But it seems cool, the mechanics, like you have to collect these hexes, you can open them with the tokens, earn the tokens and stuff. I think it's got potential. I just don't know how long the hype train will last because obviously they pay all these huge streamers to do these kind of paid streams. Is the game just going to die as soon as these streamers stop playing it? That's the question.

Concerns on Longevity and Requirements

I mean, I enjoyed the game, but I'm not sure the hype will like be sustained. Unless they can like constantly update the game. And one thing that's probably going to shock you guys is the minimum requirement to play the game. So I'm sorry for any of you laptop gamers or fucking microwave PC gamers. You need a 3060 minimum to play the game, which is insane. And the most crazy thing is that they recommend you to have a 40 70 to play the game. Like what the. I losing my head when I saw that I thought I have a nice PC. I fucking played it and my shit was stuttering. But yeah. So keep that in mind if you are going to play it, but I don't want to make the whole space about off the grid. I just wanted to hear heck, it's P's thoughts because obviously it's kind of been all over Twitter right now and I wanted to let anyone in the space that hasn't heard of it know a little bit more about it.

Involvement of KOLs in Game Updates

So obviously we skip topic one. Let's go on topic two, and that is the importance of including kols in game updates or kind of new releases and stuff. And I thought this topic fits perfectly because obviously, as Aries mentioned at the start of the space, we did have the creator showcase today in our discord where we basically got a bunch of Kols involved in our new update. New upcoming playtest is coming so they can create some content. So obviously we think it's very important to have these kind of key opinion leaders involved. Hecate P, obviously you're our only guest tonight, which wasn't exactly planned, so I'm going to come straight to you, sir, because there's no one else to hand the mic to. But what are your kind of thoughts on that? How, why do you think it's important for Kols to be involved in this type of thing? And what is the best way to leverage Kols in like a game update, if that makes sense?

KOLs and Their Impact

More than happy to be your yapping partner today, Eldar. No worries. First thing I want to say is I'm not a huge fan of using the term kol within the kind of web three space, and I actually think I mentioned this to you a couple of days ago. In my view, like a Kol like key opinion leader. They're generally people who are experts in their field. They have this kind of, they've been maybe working in that area for years. They understand it deeply and they might put their name to something or provide insight on something, and people may give more weight to what they have to say versus others. Whereas I think in the web three space, particularly people who are new to the space, you want to be really careful to listen to anybody in web three telling you to buy this token, buy this NFT, play this game, because a lot of people have angle that comes with that, right? They either got into an early round of buying a token, they have a bunch of NFTs, and they just shill in their bag.

Community Engagement Through KOLs

I think as gaming develops in this space, there's going to be a lot more of that. It's already happened, particularly with new games, when they launch tokens or nfts before the game actually launches. People who I say are influencers or maybe content creators start pushing those tokens and then just offload them on everybody who buys them. So, kol, I'm not a huge fan of it, but it is a term that everybody uses, so fair enough. I think the benefits of engaging them, I think is pretty obvious with off the grid, right? So off the grid, use your traditional content creators to attract a big audience. In web three, there's generally smaller content creators, so you're looking at a smaller pool of people and a smaller kind of audience, but it really gets your name out there to communities that maybe you wouldn't traditionally reach through your own channels and especially in different languages and different regions.

Broadening Audience Reach

So a lot of content really on Twitter goes out in English, and maybe that's not the most accessible way for people in South America, in Africa and Asia. So I think it's really helpful to have kind of a broad range of creators from different regions to reach those audiences for a start. Also, I think what helps, I think, particularly for gaming, what attracts people into a game is they can see someone else play the game. They get a lot more understanding of what a game is about versus watching a trailer or watching kind of a cinematic, which a lot of companies like to do. Like you see some cinematic for a game, you think, oh, this game looks awesome. And then you see the actual games, like, oh, this is nothing like what I expected. So having kind of creators play the game in real time, you can ask them questions about it, or they might have a video up of them playing it, their playthroughs, like your playthroughs, so they can see, they understand what they expect when they actually hop into the game and play it themselves.

Engaging Creators for Game Exposure

So it creates a more kind of a better first experience, I suppose, for them because they kind of have an idea of what to expect. I think then you asked the best way to reach out to them or how to engage creators. Honestly, I think the call you guys did today was a really good way. So kind of creators come in, they learn about the game, they maybe get some info that may not be out with the community yet, and then they can share it through their channel. So it's a way for them to provide value to the people out there about the game. But also, again, it has that reach, right? So their audience is also getting exposed to the game as well. So it's kind of a win. It's a win for the game and it's win for the creator because they have this new content that people haven't heard about for them to consume and get excited about the game for.

Optimizing Partnerships

So that was a really good way of kind of engaging them. Also, having their skin in a game is a really awesome thing to do, too. So why? That's it. That's it. My computer just froze for a second. That's obviously from my perspective. I think it's such a cool thing to see my kind of Persona in a game. And I'm sure a lot of other creators will be interested in getting on board and talking with you guys about how they can become part of it, too. I think that's a really awesome initiative and I don't know if any other, I'm sure they have web, three games have done that, but I think it's a really cool thing. Absolutely. I think probably the only reason small is here right now is to get his small hat put into this band.

Initiatives and Collaborations

But I did want to do I know Vanessa was probably going to say this if I didn't, but I did want to shout out small because small is the guy that first did a creator showcase. We didn't steal the idea, we used the idea as well. So shout out small for the idea on the creator showcase. We're definitely going to be doing that again in future when we have to roll out updates because it's like, heck, it said it's a win for the creators because they get some awesome content to post. And it's a win for us because we get to reach more people that we wouldn't normally reach. And it's not necessarily unfair on the community because the community still get to see everything that they got to see, but kind of just through the other channels on Twitter so it helps every single person. So shout out small for small. Primo for doing that.

Discussion on KOLs

Awesome. And hecate p as you said at star, I appreciate you being my yapping partner for tonight. And I loved, I absolutely loved your explanation of a kol because I think what you said is super key. Like, a kol outside of crypto is literally someone that probably went to university for 45 years, is in a lifetime worth of debt, and is literally an expert in the field. So they have the right to be called a kol. And I think kol gets thrown around in crypto, like, way too easily. It's like, okay, this guy made a post about this game and this token. He's now a kol. So I think it is important for us to remember why. Like you said, they're most likely got angle and that's why they're promoting it.

Skepticism Around KOL Promotions

So always be cautious about what you see on Twitter and don't just ape into it and be a degenerate like me. And as well, you were talking about the languages. I think that's huge. And I think Vanessa. I'll hand the mic over to Vanessa in a second. Cause I'm sure she's got some things to say about kols as well, but I think that is a massive thing, engaging other communities. Obviously, we have a massive brazilian community, polish community, at Synergyland. And I think we even had a polish creator on the space today, Aries. We had a bunch of brazilian creators, or portuguese speaking creators, spanish creators.

Embracing a Diverse Community

Yeah, we have. We had a variety of people joining today. Well, we thank God we can speak Portuguese, English and Spanish in our team. But there was. No, no, thank God you can speak Portuguese, Spanish and English. I can barely even speak English, let alone read or write it. Well, you do have czech GPT, so good for you. So we had people from Poland as well. We had people from Brazil attending. We had people from, I think Sakura, she's from Japan, if I'm not mistaken. So we did. We do. We did have a very interesting group of people to see. We wanted to show to them what were cooking for these couple of months, not for these last months. And we brought together these people from different parts of the world, even. And some of them already knew synergy land, some of them.

Highlights of the Creator Call

It was their first contact with synergy land. And yeah, it was great to bring all these people together and show them what we've been doing, what our amazing team of devs have been building. Absolutely. It was crazy. Guys, at the start of the creator call, Vanessa was literally switching languages like she was some rap God. Like, it was like, hello, everybody. Welcome, welcome showcase. It was crazy. You have to be there to witness it. But there were some comments in the chat, like, Aries is on fire right now. But, yeah, I wanted to ask you another question.

Long-Term Partnerships with KOLs

About Kol seconds, how would you say, for example, we're synergy land, we're a project. Let's say we wanted to create some partnerships, long term partnerships with Kols. What would you say is like, the most mutually beneficial way to go around it? Because I don't think just paying someone this or paying someone that is the best way. And what is the best way to get return from that Kol? Like, how would you, for example, if we came to you, like, heck it, we want you to be our Kol, or I don't like that word. Now that you explain that we want you to be our content creator, what do you think is, like, a good way to structure that deal so it benefits the project, but also, of course, not the Kol. The content creator.

Conditions for Team Collaboration

Yeah, not the KLL. So, like I said, like, that content showcase or creative showcase is kind of like a perfect example of a win, and we've kind of already covered it, right. It's a win for the creator. It's new content. It's a win for the studio because you're reaching their audiences if you want to expand that further. Actually, again, it's something I mentioned to you recently when were talking about something else, is that if I see a creator, specifically in web three, this is specific to web three, if I see someone is paid to create content for this game. So if it's a hashtag ad, if it's, I'm there, a partner of this studio, I'm being paid to create this content, it makes me second guess all the content they're putting out.

Trust Issues with Paid Content

And I know sometimes I feel bad because I don't understand the relationship, and maybe it's all completely above board, but just because there's so much money floating around on web three, and as I said before, a lot of people have angles with everything that they pump out. They either they're a bag holder themselves, they're pumping their own bags. It always just makes me think, can I trust everything they're saying? So I would always be really reluctant to accept any kind of deal or contract with a web three studio to pump out content on their behalf. I personally am more of a kind of, like, I'm a gamer, right? So I'm more of a kind of traditional. I just want to play good games, play fun games, whether that's synergy land, whether that's off the grid, whatever it may be, and share that with people.

Desiring Authentic Content Creation

So games that I enjoy playing, and then that comes through the content, then that I would create, and then hopefully other people would enjoy it too. And we can, whatever, play together, talk about it together, talk about other games that maybe they have played that I haven't seen, and kind of build that community together. Would I suggest the studio does that? That's really tricky. Right? Because of what I just said, I guess just build a good game, right? If you build a good game, people will want to create content for it. And I think it came up during the showcase today. A lot of people just in the chat were saying, oh my God, this game looks so good.

Quality is Key

Or the dungeon. The quality of the environment looks really cool. And that really came across in what Madeleine was showing. So, yeah, just build a good game.

Initial Thoughts on Content Creation

I don't know. Yeah, I like that. I like that. I like how you wouldn't take just money to pump out content. You kind of just. It's kind of like. It's not like selling yourself out, but it's kind of like, okay, I'm taking this deal to play this game. I may not even necessarily like this game, but because I'm getting paid, I'm going to tell all these other people to play this game, which I don't even really like myself. So I actually really understand that. And I think some people should probably take a leaf out of your book. Okay. I've just had two hands go up. Heck it p, you're the guest, so coming to you first. Thanks. Sorry. Just. Just to also clarify. Right, sorry, Vanessa. I guess it's kind of also a privileged thing to say. Right.

Understanding Content Creation Dynamics

So content creation isn't my full-time job. I'm not relying on getting revenue from ad revenue or partnering with studios to create content to earn my living. So people in different scenarios will have different needs. And I'm sure most creators do have integrity and they really believe in the content that they put out. And it is quality stuff. It's just always in the back of my mind in the web three space that there's a lot of money involved, people might have angle, so just be aware of it, I guess. Yeah, that's a very good point to make. Vanessa, coming straight up to you, though, I know your hand is talking to me right now saying, shut up. No, it's today's your day. And heck, a piece day to yap. That's how you say it.

Content Creation Evolution and Relationships

But no, what I want to say about, okay, Kol's content creators, I do think the word is thrown around a little lightly, but in this case, well, let's call them content creators because I do prefer that. And, well, we've been really. Influencer marketing has been a thing for like, what, 10 to 15 years? It's still young. Okay? It's still very young. Web three is not even the newborn. It's a project, okay? So as influencer marketing has been, you know, growing, and in these last years, the same thing will happen with content creation and influencers on the web three space. But it needs to mature. It needs to mature into something that will probably, in five years, will probably look completely different from what we're seeing today.

Web Three Marketing Journey

Because what happened in the beginning of the influencers on social media was that they would do advertising for any product, even if it was a competition's product. I'm not just talking about gaming, I'm talking about everything. Everything. And they lost credibility because of that. Because they were, they would be able, they would just advertise anything that would come their way. And what we're seeing now, not yet on web three, but as I said, web three is still very young. Very, very young in terms of market. But what we're seeing now with marketing in general is that content creating these brands create a long-lasting relationship with few content creators.

Collaborative Relationships with Creators

So let me give you an example. If, let's say, off the grid or even synergy lens, that we decide when we're more mature or whatever, that we want to have a team of five to ten content creators that we know are super passionate about the project and that we know that they will do justice to our product. These people will do the best job in the world. They don't even need guidelines from us to create the best content out there because they are in love with the project. And I think that in the future, brands will be building these long-lasting relationships with fewer content creators.

The Future of Content Creation Partnerships

Maybe, you know, for different campaigns have a larger pool of content creators, but, you know, but long-lasting relationships with few content creators that will do justice to your product because they are as much as in love with it as you are as a creator of that product. So I think this is where we're heading in the market. But as I said, web three still very, very new. Everybody's trying to figure out what we're going at. Everybody shields every project out there because we need to be chilled, because we need to get our projects, not there. And content creators need to create as much content as possible to reach more people out there because not that they're just making a living out of it.

Diverse Types of Content Creators

They need the space to grow, and they need to create that content for the space to grow. So I think we're very early, but certainly as it has been happening with other markets in web three, the relationship between brands and content creators, I think it's my opinion it's worth what it's worth. This will change and would be. Something like that I mentioned 100%. I think your kind of point about, you know, mature web three maturing, kind of how web two influencing work kind of does bridge to his point where he's kind of saying, as long as you build a great game, they're going to come.

Content Creation and Gaming Interactions

It's kind of like as long as you mature your game into a state where it's fun and playable, there are going to be people creating content whether you're paying them or nothing. So I think that's kind of the end goal for every project, isn't it? Heck, I did see you had your hand up, sir, so please go ahead if you have something to add. Yeah, just a couple of ideas came to me while I was listening to Vanessa talk. One thing was actually that literally just came to me a second ago was that I got bitten.

Web Three Influencer Legacy

I'm sure some of you guys have by creators already in the web three space hyping up these games that I haven't played yet. That said, they're amazing. You want to get in on it, you want to play it. It hasn't been open to the public yet, so as soon as it came out, I either bought into it or bought an NFT, bought tokens, did whatever I needed to do, got in and realized it's nothing like what they've been hyping. So it already happens. The other thing I was going to say was, yeah, there's different types of creators and there's different types of content specific to web three, right?

Different Types of Content Creators

So when I first started getting involved in crypto in general, it was all about trading, right? Buying those low MCAP coins, looking at all of their events that are coming up over the next 3612 months, finding the ones you want to invest in early, and then flip them, right? So I was looking at creators on YouTube, learning about how to research tokens, how to research the different blockchains, all that kind of stuff. So that also translates to gaming. There are creators out there who look at the low MCAP gaming coins, look at what's coming up for these games and advise people this is a token you want to buy.

Engaging with Gaming Content Creators

I've looked at their roadmap. Really impressive what they're doing. I think they'll have a lot of engagement, so get in early. So there's those kind of creators that maybe some studios are interested in getting on board to kind of support their tokens. Maybe. But then there's also the kind of gaming side and gaming creators, right? So for gaming, which is kind of where I'm kind of now focused, it's all about the game itself and the content and how it plays and how fun it is to play.

Importance of Game Exposure

So if you have content, actual game content to share with people. So to help them make up their own minds, right? So I know I said if people provide content and it's hashtag adforweb three, I second guess it. I mean, that is true. However, if it's a new game, right, you know nothing about it, and someone's paid to make a video to showcase the game content, that's totally fine, right? I want to be able to see what the game is.

Authenticity in Game Marketing

I want to know what I might be getting involved in. I want to get an idea of how to play the game, what type of game is it, what's the quality of the graphics? And you kind of get that feedback through a creator's content. So in those cases, I think it could be really helpful as long as it's all very above board and you're not restricting them to that. They have to be really positive about the game or they have touch these talking points about we have these NFTs and we have this token and if it's more kind of organic.

Honesty in Game Reviews

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. It's like if they're going to share their honest opinion about the game, then I think that's great. But if they're literally being paid as an ad just to shield the shit out of a game or a project just because there's a bag on the line, I think it's wrong. And I think I agree with what you said. Real quick, I just want to remind everyone that everyone being here is going to get carve points in the synergy land discord. And that's also a reminder for Vanessa to take a screenshot for me and I will set that card mission up after the space hecky, I also really like what you said about how there are different types of content creators.

Diversity of Content Creators

I don't think we should just label all web three influencers as web three kols or content creators because everyone does different types of things and we shouldn't just put all of them in the same box and just label them. One thing, when there's so many different types of content that you can create. And after what you just said, you definitely follow Alex Becker on Twitter. Anyway. Do you follow him? I used to. I don't really watch a lot of his content.

Introducing Hecate P

Okay. Well, as you know, heck P and as everyone that is a regular listener of this space, we try to keep it under an hour. I realized, of course, were just super excited about the showcase today that we didn't actually really let you intro yourself. I mean, I always assume that everyone knows who you are because you're such an active member of our community. But please take this next however long you want to kind of let people know who you are, what you do, how people can get involved with you.

Insights and Community Engagement

And I know you always have a wealth of knowledge about the upcoming web three games and events. So I think it would be great for people to get in touch with you and follow you and share your content. Cheers, Eldar. Thank you. I'm an online gaming loser who loves to play computer games. I love the idea of web three and what web three can bring to gaming. So, yeah, my second home at the Synergyland, Discord, honestly, I work from home in my day job, so I always have discord open.

Community Involvement

So I am in there a lot, and I actually neglect my own discord even though it's quite a small community. So, yeah, so that's kind of what I do, right? I play nearly every web three game I can play. If I think they're fun, I stream it on Twitch. I talk about it in my discord. Sometimes I just stream within my discord and play with some other people on the discord. So if you like web three gaming and you're looking for somebody to talk about it or talk about new upcoming games, you can check out my discord.

Invitation to Connect

I think the link is in my Twitter or X profile. Or just send me a DM on Twitter and we can talk about an upcoming game. Yeah, that's what I do. Awesome. So if you're a sad computer gamer, I'm joking. I love how you introduce yourself. But, yeah, guys, as I said, I'll say sad. You guys know. What did you say? What did you say? I can't remember online gaming loser? I don't know. I liked it. I'm very happy that if you're a.

The Enrichment of Community Engagement

Gaming, a computer loser. Whatever. I liked it. I liked it. I also take the piss out myself. So yeah, if you guys want to stay up to date with web three, definitely join Hecate P's discord. Follow him on Twitter. Thank you for being on the space hecket. Always enjoy listening to your opinions. Obviously we've had you on before and we will definitely have you on again in future.

Closing Remarks

But there you had it, guys. Follow Hecate P. Follow us, follow me, follow everyone. We've got the play test coming. Hecate P's hands up. So I'm going to talking. I just want to say thank you so much for having me back. I really appreciate coming here and chatting to you all. So. Yeah, thank you. No worries, sir. I know you're fluent in Japanese, so it's good to have you on today because we did lose our other guest.

Final Thoughts and Looking Forward

So I appreciate everyone chilling with us this evening, listening to us yap about whatever, going off topic, talking about synergy land updates for too long. We appreciate you guys as always. And one last thing, because we got sidetracked from the Synergy land updates. This is close to home for me. It's going to be an emotional day tomorrow because today we had episode 99 of the Synergyland Twitch stream. So that means tomorrow is going to be episode 100, which is really crazy to think about.

Episode 100 Announcement

So if you guys are around tomorrow, about 02:30 p.m. UK time or 03:30 p.m. central european time, please stop by the stream. I'm gonna. I've put together a speech for episode 100. Maybe we'll even do a small I read award ceremony. I've read the speech. It's emotional. It's emotional. But yeah. Thank you, Aries. But yeah, if you do got a bit of time tomorrow, drop by the stream.

Celebration and Giveaways

It's gonna be awesome. It's gonna be episode 100. We're gonna do an award ceremony, gonna do a speech, and the most important thing, we're gonna do some giveaways. So if you want to have a chance to win some NFTs, have a good laugh vibe to some old boomer music with us, stop by the stream, it'll be fun. But yeah, this was episode number 37 of the Tavern. This is probably one of my favorite episodes of the tavern because I enjoy just having these conversations rather than like, not that we just forced the tavern normally, but it feels very natural this episode.

Appreciation for Participation

So thank you, everyone, for being on here today, listening to us. Yap. As I said, we appreciate you. And I will be setting up the carve mission immediately after this space for everyone that's been here today. If I do miss you from the mission, let me know because I do not know everyone's Twitter names. But again, thank you, everyone. Thank you, Hekapi, for joining us. Thank you, Aries, for hosting the space and being my amazing co-host.

Looking Ahead

And of course, guys, have an amazing Thursday night. We have lots to come. Make sure you're locked in for the playtest. There are rewards on the line. Gonna be against me. Let's go, guys. Let's go. See you on the stream tomorrow for episode 100. Bye.
