Behind the Mic
Introduction
Hello, everyone. Hey, how's it going, Carl? Can you guys hear me all right? I can hear you. Okay, we're going to give everyone just a minute to join the space and bring up all the speakers and then, yeah, we'll get this started in just a few minutes here. Hope everyone's doing okay. Like I said, we'll just give it a few minutes and give me a thumbs up if you guys can hear me.
Waiting for Speakers
All right, I got my headphones in, so hopefully it's gonna be working. Okay. Here, let me get Aaron back up here. We're just waiting on a few speakers to join and then, yeah, we will be starting shortly. Let's hope Kieran's Internet is working good enough to get him connected. Looks like it is. I think the only person we're waiting for is future versus CEO. Just give us 1 minute and we'll get you guys started.
Finalizing Setup
All right. All right. Just one more check, making sure everybody can hear me. Give me a thumbs up if you can. And I think we have everyone we need up here. We got Kieran, we got Palamos, we got future verse maybe. I think Aaron, if you were on the future verse account, if you can just give us a hello. Aaron is. Not on the future verse count of. Okay, I saw him up here for a second, but maybe he got rugged. So let's try to get him down. Yep, yep.
Technical Difficulties
I see you. I see you. We're good to go. It was weird. I could hear you guys and I could, it looked like I was speaking, but nothing was coming through. Yeah, yeah. I'm joining on my phone tonight because I know how X runs a little bit rough on the desktop, so in browser. So yeah, I do personally, I'm running it on my phone, so switch to phone myself. Yeah. All right, well, good deal.
Starting the Event
I think we can go ahead and get started then. Everyone. Welcome, guys, to this hosted by us alluvium. I'm rich, the community manager over there at Illuvium. We got a pretty good space here for you guys tonight or tonight my time. I'm sure it's morning for a lot of you, but yeah, like basically what we're doing is we're all heading to permissionless next week and we're running this space to kind of give an outline of what we're going to be doing at permissionless.
Introducing Partnerships
Introduce our partners here, which is Palimos and Futureverse, and we have the CEO's of both of those here and as well as Kieran, our CEO here at Illuvium. So yeah, I think we'll go ahead and get started. We have a little bit of agenda here and we'll jump right into it and start with some introductions. Kieran, if you want to introduce yourself for all the people here that don't already know you. And then we'll go through Palamos and future verse as well, for sure.
Kieran's Introduction
Thanks, rich and cheers for organizing this and for lemos and Futureverse, I think permissionless is going to be a lot of fun. My name is Kieran. I'm one of the co founders and I'm the CEO of Alluvium. We're building a. Well, building, and we've actually launched a gaming ecosystem that is interoperable with itself. And there's three games in the ecosystem, plus alluvium, beyond, which sort of sits outside, but is still connected in some ways.
Alluvium's Games
But we've got a city builder game that you can play on mobile. It's available on both app stores. We've got our Overworld experience, which is an open world rpg where you go and collect characters. And then we've got our arena game, which I'm currently probably a little bit too addicted to, which is a lot of fun, where you take those characters that you capture in the overworld and you battle against people in either a one v one or an eight player mode.
Looking Forward to Permissionless
And yeah, just really excited to be working with these guys. I think missionless, it's going to be a lot of fun. Having the. The gaming booth there to display what we've been building over the last four or five years is going to be a lot of fun. And I can't wait to meet people in person. Yep, me as well. Me as well. Definitely looking forward to it. Massive gaming booth.
Carl's Introduction
I hope to meet some of the community there as well. It should be a lot of fun, let alone meeting future verse in Palermo for the first time. So. Yeah. Carl, you want to go ahead and jump in next? Sure. Do you hear me well? Yep. Okay, that's cool. Thanks, everyone. Thanks for having me today. It's a pleasure to be. To be in this space. Very looking forward to permissionless and excited to kicking off next week.
Polymos Overview
I'm Carol. I'm the CEO at Polymos. I've been here working for the organizations for the last two years and I'm based in Singapore. At Polymos, we are building an ecosystem that have three objectives. First one is to bring games and players into a seamless and unified ecosystem where we try to simplify the offboarding of players into this new web three gaming space and by bringing awareness to the games and enhance the games with a full set of functionalities that we have been working on over the last years, which one of them that has been released, which is a non collateral, non custodial wallet with lending and borrowing of assets, which I'm going to speak a bit more later on.
Looking Ahead
Pleasure to see you all and looking forward to potentially meet some of you at permissionless. Yeah, thank you. Thank you, Carl. Yeah, and we'll just move right on to Futureverse. And Aaron, if you want to introduce yourself, and then we'll start jumping into topics. Yeah. Last member of the down under Mafia and calling in here from Auckland, New Zealand.
Futureverse Introduction
So Futureverse is a technology company and we are on a mission to make the metaverse real. And really at the heart of that is solving this interoperability challenge, to make it easy for people to take the things they love and the things they own wherever they go on the Internet. We have three bits to the business. We have some protocols which are designed to create the data layer for this interoperability.
Innovative Solutions
And they're anchored in our own layer, one called the Root Network. In the middle of the company, we have some of the world's best generative AI scientists, a team of over 20 researchers that are building novel generative models to allow people to create the content that they want to take with them. You know, bring those thoughts they have in their mind about what they'd love to take through the metaverse with them to life, just by talking or texting.
Collaborations
And at the top end of the company, we work with some of the world's largest brands and IP to showcase those tools and bring consumer experience to life with them. The hero in our kind of partner ecosystem from an IP perspective is ready player one. So we're working directly with the author Ernie Klein, and bringing the ready player one story to life in a bunch of games, applications and experiences, alongside a whole host of builders who are building interoperable applications linked into that ecosystem.
Excitement for Permissionless
And we're really excited to showcase for the first time some of that generative AI gameplay at permissionless in the gaming booth alongside the Polymos team and Illuvium. Cool. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, I didn't know much about Futureverse when we all started this partnership journey, but I definitely know some of the IP, for example, Fluff World, definitely familiar with that.
More on Permissionless
So it was definitely cool to learn more about so far. So. Yeah, and I'll just go back a little bit as to what permissionless, in case people aren't familiar, you know, before we jump into topics. Permissionless is, you know, a big crypto event here in America and really looking forward to going. I haven't been before personally, so I know, you know, a lot of the top projects and top builders out there coming to permissionless and, you know, gaming, web three, gaming in general, being a big part of crypto, you know, sphere now is super important to have a presence there.
The Importance of Gaming
And I think, you know, with our gaming booth, the size that it is, it's a massive gaming booth. So I think it'll really shed some light on to how important gaming is to this whole ecosystem.
Introduction to Permissionless Event
So in case you haven't heard of permissionless yet, it's a very cool event and worth checking out. We'll have some live streams there and everything. But I. We'll jump into that as we get going here. But yeah, so we'll get right into these first topics. You know, this first one's for Kieran. We'll talk about, you know, Alluvium's approach to combining gameplay with blockchain technology. You kind of touched on how the ecosystem works, but, you know, how are we integrating nfts and ownership with, you know, these different player experiences?
Alluvium's Ecosystem and NFT Ownership
Yeah. So how we look at our ecosystem is NFT ownership is essentially your access pass to all of the different gaming experiences that we built. And we've tried to take an approach wherever in order to get those nfts or those access passes. And when I say access pass, it's really a word to describe our characters, because they're what are not just our characters, our weapons, our armor, our augments, like all of our in game items can be taken into different gaming experiences and progression transfers across. And so if you've got something that's really rare and powerful in one game, it's going to be rare and powerful in another game, which speaks to holding its value across the ecosystem and especially over time. And the reason went with that approach, where you, basically, your skill that you have, your time that you spend on progressing is all something that we value.
Significance of Player Progression
And I think previously games wouldn't think of the amount of time, things that people put into gaming is that important. And a new game will come out and it's kind of like, okay, now you're going to start from the beginning. We don't care how much money you've put into this. We don't care how much time, we don't care how much you've learned and the skill progression. All of that stuff is disregarded. And we look at it basically opposite to that and say that should carry across. And so with that sort of ethos, we looked at building an ecosystem around it. And as I mentioned, we've got three gaming experiences now that you can go and play all very different in different genres, and so very likely to appeal to individuals. And maybe some people would like to play across each one of those games. And we certainly out of some of our players, we do have that experience. But that's the way that we've looked at NFTs and integrating them into our ecosystem.
Empowering Players Through NFTs
It's really to empower the player and enable them to have progression across many different games and many years of gameplay. Yeah, I'm already collecting those alluvials for Leviathan and still getting my butt whoops so far. But it's definitely exciting to finally be able to start owning a lot of those alluvials that I've been waiting so long though. So definitely cool that we can use them across multiple things now. Okay, let's move on to Palmos here. Palamos, if you want to kind of, or Carl, if you want to dive into, you know, your guys's asset management solution and you know, how you guys are using lending and renting and how this is, you know, really integral to web three gaming as a whole. You know, I think a lot of people have been looking forward to this type of stuff across, you know, I mean, in previous like Axie era, you know, they kind of had this type of thing trying to go, but it's definitely something I think is important.
Polymos Asset Management Solution
So, yeah, I think if you're ready, go for it. Thank you. So, yeah. At Polymos, we offer a non collateralized and non custodial wallet in our ecosystem that is called the forge, where players can have access of a full range of functionality, such as the lending and borrowing of assets. In our marketplace, the assets are secured, you can only borrow them for a period of time. This asset cannot be minted, cannot be destroyed. They are fully secure in our ecosystem and we are currently working on a few other functionalities that will be released soon. We really aim to take out the complexity of the blockchain technologies, where players can interact easily and seamlessly in our ecosystem without the need to be a tech savvy person.
Ease of Access and Functionality
When you connect to a forge by creating your account with an email and password, you can use our functionality and perform different actions in a few clicks. When you want, for example, to run an asset, you can put your credit cards paid for the period of the time that you're interested to use this asset. Then it's going to move to your wallet and just in a few clicks you will be able to play the game. That's it. It's simple. It takes less than a minute. It works. We are also looking to bring more payment solutions, for example, some wallet solutions, of course, other cryptocurrencies as well. But our goal is really to simplify and to make sure that people in less than a minute and a few clicks, they can have access to the asset they want and play the games.
Futureverse and Gaming Interoperability
Yeah, I think that's going to be really cool for people to be able to use those other assets and share them with friends and even, you know, I think renting them to friends, even like, I kind of seen the initial concepts that you guys have come up with and how it's going to work. And it seems like very cool product that's coming soon. Thank you. Okay, let's move on to Aaron here and talk about Futureverse. Yeah, so maybe just like a bit of background, Futureverse came together by rolling up a bunch of technology, ip and studio companies in 2023. So was, I think, eleven companies at that time. Now almost 14 different companies in the Futureverse family that have been brought together to solve this big challenge of interoperability.
Interoperability in Web 3 Gaming
And like Keiran said, we think that's like one of the superpowers that web three can bring to gaming. It's the thing that's kind of distinctively different, this ability to own something. And if you can take the things you own with you to the places you love, then you truly own them. And so we're going like one layer deeper, which is how can you make those things interoperable everywhere? And anyone out there who's like building games and experiences will know that's pretty hard to do. Different engines, different types of games, different platforms, different devices that they go on. And so it's been a pretty hard problem to crack. And we brought together those companies to solve that problem and make it possible to do that, to take the things that you love with you around that.
Content Generation Tools and Features
Like I mentioned earlier, we have these tools to help people generate content. And so there's two big bits there that our team does in the research field. One focused on music and sound and voice and song, singing, sound effects, those kinds of things. So all of the kind of audio parts of the world. And you can go to our website, futureverse.com, and check out our research paper, if you're that way inclined, and read some of the research, academic research our team's been contributing to the wider space and learn about the models that they have created. On the other side, we have altered state, which is the 3d generative. So this is where you can type up characters or objects or weapons or environments or terrain and bring those to life.
FuturePass and User Experience
And then you can become the world builder. You can become the game builder and start to create these things. We, you know, we've worked really hard to try and solve those onboarding journey issues as well. We have this great set of tools under the FuturePass product group, which is really about making it super simple for people to sign up onboard into these experiences using the credentials they already have, whether that's emails or social accounts or gaming accounts, so they can get in and start using this technology in a really simple and safe way. And then we're like working really hard to try and enable this technology and a range of different experiences that we're building and that others are building with us and like Kieran, to showcase this kind of interoperability and provide a reason for people to want to like, own things so that they can go and, you know, and if we can give those things more utility.
Utility and Community Impact
Then there'll be more places that something like Polymoss could come together with this technology and offer the ability for someone to, you know, take an asset they love and lend it to someone else. The more utility there is, the more times people want to do that. And so really, the kind of central idea that brought all of us together is this idea of interoperability. And how can we make interoperability real? How can we work together to showcase that? How can we provide more reasons for people to want to jump into open gaming? Because once you get in there and you can do these things, it actually is a funner experience. And that's really the key to this, is make it more magic and more fun for gamers.
The Value of Interoperability
Yeah, I think, you know, interoperability is one of the things that sold me on alluvium from the very beginning. It was definitely one of the cooler things that I think is really like, key in this whole web three development thing. You know, I always played games like FIFA or whatever, you know, and you play every year and you lose those assets and it's, maybe it's the same game, but, you know, they're still gone the next year when the new one comes out. So being able to see these things long term is definitely, I think, key. Yeah, people spend, like Karen said, you know, they spend emotional energy and time and money on building up the stories in those items. And the value that they kind of assigned to them.
Realizing the Dream of Open Gaming
And so it's just a natural thing, I think, that most people are into games would want to see come true. And if we can make that dream come true and actually make it true beyond just a token, that's tradable, but something that you can take with you everywhere you go and it just works and then there'll be no alternative. Open gaming will be the way people want to game because why would you do it the other way? Yeah, makes a lot of sense. And so on this topic of interoperability, we'll get to Kieran here. And why is this? I mean, Aaron touched on it, obviously, but why do we feel this is so essential to gaming in general?
Unlocking New Value Through Interoperability
And, you know, why is it unlocking, you know, a new form of value for people's assets in game? Assets, their time, their money spent, like, what are the benefits of, you know, this interoperability in gaming? So, I mean, I think we've touched on a lot of them here by, you know, transfer of value is probably huge and very important in this space, let's put it that way. A lot of people in crypto are either part time gamers or used to be habitual gamers, and then they've gotten into crypto and now they trade and all of that kind of stuff. And so I think at heart, web three is always going to have a big focus on how value accrual actually transpires to the gamer.
Transferring Value Across Games
And for us, this ability for you to be able to pour money, time, effort into progressing your account, whether it be new characters that you're unlocking or finding or buying or cards or weapons or anything inside of these games, and then being able to take them into a new game where the same developer in our case, but as Aaron was touching on, we're discussing and we've given them a couple of assets to stay start testing in their universe. I think it would be really cool if, let's say you set up some kind of like battle royale game in a different, with a totally different publisher. Let's say it's in future verse, right? It's a battle royale and you've spent 10,000 hours getting your ranger up in alluvial to its highest level.
The Concept of Bringing Assets Across Games
In alluvium to its highest level. You've got all the weapons, you've got all the armor, and you can bring that in to future verse and start duking it out in this battle royale type of game. I think that's a really cool concept and obviously it's got numerous challenges and we're still quite far away from that being a reality. And there's balancing stuff and all of those kinds of things, but having it be on chain data that is consumable by another game gives you access to that, right? And it allows another game to say, maybe we're not going to give you the exact same benefits that you get from having the best and most powerful character in Illuvium, but we're going to bring over some perks that work in this new ecosystem.
Reviving Dormant NFTs
And so whether it's just inside a closed loop ecosystem like ours, where if we develop a new game five years down the track and someone who played tons when we first launched and then maybe got over it after a few years, which is such a normal thing to do inside of a gaming ip, then a new game comes out and a mate of yours says hey dude, you know, Alluvium's published a new game. It looks amazing and you can bring back to life your dormant nfts that have all of that progression. That's a really exciting concept. And I think it's still yet to be done well inside of web three and I think we'll get there.
Understanding Interoperability
But for us, that's what interoperability means. And I think it's going to be quite eye-opening and so powerful that I feel like once players experience it, like truly experience the value that brings and the excitement that brings, they're probably going to put some pressure on other web two or mainstream publishers to give a similar sort of experience.
Current Experiences in Gaming
Yeah, I mean we're like you said, it's far or it's not quite there for a lot of, you know, what I think people want from a full interoperability metaverse experience, but we're already experiencing it here at Illuvium with the overworld and the arena and even zero, like transferring assets and stuff like that. But like it's like we spoke about it in a town hall earlier about, you know, this game that Chaba made on his free time, that's a little like side game or I don't know what you would call it, a little mini game. And you know, there was alluvials in it, you know, they weren't NFTs, but it just shows how like, oh, like I could, this could be a thing where, you know, now I could take these alluvials and use them in this other game. And then, and it starts to open your eyes to all these concepts that, you know, I think will be super beneficial in the future.
Asset Management Solutions
Let's get right into palermos here and you can speak more about these asset management solutions that you guys are coming up with and why it's so important for gamers to have access to these rental and lending platforms. And how are you facilitating this borrowing of assets and interacting with different games across different chains. Thank you.
Goals for Interoperability
So yeah, our goal in our ecosystem is to be games and check agnostic. So whatever you want to perform in terms of actions in our ecosystem, for example, for the lending and borrowing of asset marketplace that we are developing, you come to us, you filter based on the functionality of the asset that you are looking for. You will see multiple assets that are available across all the chains and the games. For example, you will see an illuvials anilios, the specific one that you are looking for to perform a specific action in the games. And on each asset, as the guy mentioned earlier, you will be able to see in which games you will be able to use it and what you can do with it.
Building Interoperability Ecosystem
So we are really trying to build an interoperability ecosystem that is chain agnostic. You will see a list of in-game assets and on each asset you will be able to see what you can do and in which game you can use them. So that's, we think it's pretty powerful. It will help and enhance the functionality in the games and also see for the players when there is an asset, what they can do potentially in all the games ecosystem. And so within the seamless navigations where you will not need to go through different systems, the goal is to have really a dashboard where we can list every type of actions you can do in the different games, in the different ecosystem with that asset.
Cross Chain Actions
So I guess I just have one question personally, like how are you guys handling, I guess you mentioned illuvium, but how are you guys handling the actual cross chain actions? Yeah, so we are currently building it, but we want to create a master wallet where people come to us, they create their master polymorphs wallet, and behind the scene we can create a wallet on all the chain that we are integrated. Then you go on the marketplace and you can see all the games that have been integrated with all the asset linked to these games without having the need to really take care about on which chain is this asset potentially, or I'm going to move it to the chain that I'm using.
User-Friendly Navigation
You will of course have access to all the wallet addresses of different chains, but you will be able in a few clicks to choose the asset you want moving to your wallet and use it in the games or in the games where this asset is compatible with. Yeah, that's very cool. Like, I think one of the main issues, you know, that's arising even more with web three gaming is this, you know, all these different chains, you know, that people are building on, which, you know, it's a good thing to have different approaches and different chains to build on, but definitely making it more seamless for users to play across. The different chains will be, I think.
Ecosystem of User Experiences
I need, we want to people to be able to do it, you know, in the same ecosystem so they don't have to navigate into different pages for different chains. They come here, it's all combined and they can easily see where they can use the asset. If this asset is interoperable in two different games, for example, in illuvium, in one of the game at future verse, and what they can do with it. So it's very clear what is the use cases of the asset and how to use it in different games. Yeah.
Future of Game Experiences
All right, so, yeah, future verse on interoperability, I know you kind of dove into it a little bit, but. So, like, what do you guys see as the future of these experiences that you guys are creating? And I guess if you could dive more into the actual tech infrastructure that you guys are making, and I know you mentioned, I think it's AI related, I'm not sure exactly what you called it, but yeah, if you could talk more about that. Yeah, so in terms of the technology, there's probably like three bits to that, maybe four.
Multi-Chain Beliefs
So we have you talked about interchange, interoperability. We're kind of big believers in a multi-chain world. I think it's important to have different kinds of infrastructure for different kinds of applications, and at the same time to provide both that kind of layer of interoperability, but also a really great developer experience. So within futureverse, we have a thing called asset register, which essentially allows us to assemble the interoperability and metadata that can come from multiple chains. So you can kind of have your anchor, your key, your past, like Kieran called it, the NFT, sit on the chain that you love that might be appropriate for the application that was built for, the content it was built for.
Integrating Assets
And the asset register provides the ability to integrate those assets across multiple chains into a single API for developers that actually hooks into our SDKs for game engines. So working with emergence, which is who's part of the Futureverse family and a founding member of the open Metaverse standards body, now developers can access those APIs for those assets which sit on these multiple chains from a native unity or unreal engine SDK, and have that experience as a game developer native to the way they build games, as opposed to having to know about web three. So that's one layer.
Interoperable Assets Creation
How can you bring the information about assets up to game engines in a way that's consistent? And then how can you write the rules about how those things can connect? So what accessories are compatible with what avatars, for example? All of those rules can be written in templates in the asset register, and those things will be honored inside of the games that integrate those SDKs. The next layer is how do you create interoperable assets? So how can you create something that a file as a asset developer, that will work in Unreal, in Unity? In, in unity, it'll work with different shaders and textures. It'll work equally as well and as highest quality possible on a mobile versus highest quality possible on a console or a PC.
Universal Blueprint Framework
We developed a new standard called the Universal Blueprint Framework, which allows for developers to create assets as metadata instead of files. And so people can create an avatar or the things that build up to an avatar as data. And then there's a little interpreter that goes inside the game engine that calls that data up and assembles that character in the runtime of the engine. So now we don't have to send files around the Internet between different games. There can be like a master data record that can actually be stored on chain. So you don't have this situation where you have a token, but the actual asset lives somewhere else.
Asset Management and Integration
The asset can live on chain in the data. It can be assembled by a game engine. And if you want to change that, or you acquire an item in one game that can update this data field, and that item can automatically appear in any other connected game. So that provides like that asset interoperability on top of the asset register, which is really about the rules about how tokens connect to each other. And then, as I mentioned earlier, there's this generative layer. So making those tools, the ability to generate content like this available to everyday people, so that it's not just game developers that can do this stuff now, but end users can start to create these assets that are interoperable.
Exploring Assets and Resources
Then there is like maybe two other bits. So we kind of look a little bit further into the future. There's two kinds of assets that we see out there. One would be these kinds of, let's call them world assets, things like characters or weapons, and these kinds of things, and then there are resources. And so if you're mining resources in one game, for example, and you want to be able to take them to another game, or another game wants to offer the ability for users to use those things in their environment, there needs to be like a protocol and a data standard and a system for doing that, so that all the games can build around that same idea.
Material World Protocol
So we have this thing called the material world, which is a protocol for resource interoperability, and how resources combine together and crafting and all those kinds of things. And then the last bit of tech would be AI interoperability. As games progress, they're going to be more and more like agent driven experiences. Inside of these games. We have about 30 granted impending patents in this domain of AI intersecting with gaming and web three and two core ideas. One is the idea of non-fungible intelligence.
Storing Attributes on Chain
So how can you store the attributes of an agent on chain in an interoperable way? And so the ASM protocol deals with that. And then we have this thing called the murmur matrix, which is about how do you create long-term, persistent, evolving memories of experiences that assets have in the metaverse. So, you know, all of that stuff that Kieran was talking about, the achievements you've had and the status you've gained, and the things you've come in contact with and the bosses that you've defeated, all of that data can become part of the agent experience, and you can take that with you between different gaming experiences.
Emotional Connection through Gameplay
So when that character from Illuvium comes into our ready player, one battle royale, open, people, agents inside of there can recognize the status and they can recognize the achievements, and they can have that kind of deeper level of emotional connection to their character in all these different worlds. And then we've kind of like started to showcase some of this stuff and bring it to life in different gaming experiences to demonstrate the power of it, but also help give the templates for other developers to build on top of those things.
Ready Verse: The Oasis in the Metaverse
And at the center of that, from like a game experience point of view, is the ready verse, which is, I guess, for one of a better way to describe it. The oasis in the metaverse. Like, it's the connective tissue that allows players to come and discover these connected experiences and launch them and have that kind of interoperability layer plugged into the launcher so that developers have those tools at their fingertips. And we're actually going to show some of that experience and interoperability and permissionless, and see how these different characters come together inside of these gaming experiences.
Looking Forward to Future Events
And inside the launcher. So it's going to be really fun to do that for the first time. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Like I said, I didn't know much about Futureverse before we started this whole journey to permissionless together, but I'm definitely looking forward to diving into it deeper once we get there and probably chatting to you a whole lot, because everything you just spoke about seems like a lot just hearing it. So I'm definitely looking forward to picking your brain more about this stuff once we get over there.
Thanks to the Development Team
It's a lot. I'm lucky to have a very talented team, you know, 200 something people across 16 countries around the world that are just kind of, you know, really deeply, you know, capable and passionate about this idea of the open metaverse being real. Shout out to any team that's listening to this now. You guys are awesome.
Looking Ahead to Permissionless 3
Yeah, well, just. Yeah. So on that topic, now that you mentioned permissionless three, kind of touch on what we're doing there. So we'll start with you, Karen, and we have, I think we have 20 or we have 16 gaming computers there. And you want to just touch on some of what we're going to be going through personally as alluvium there? Yeah, absolutely.
Illuvium's Upcoming Keynote
So if you have got a ticket to go on the first day, we'll be doing a keynote. And inside that keynote will be all about the next steps for Illuvium, mainly what new features are coming out for the overworld and some video. Rather than just listening to me talk, I really want to express what we're building through proper gameplay, videos. And so if you are, you know, looking to find out what's next for Illuvium, that's going to be a really good start.
Sharing Updates with the Community
And of course, after we finish, we will, we'll share that with the community. So you're not in the dark, but some really good stuff there. We'll also be announcing our illuvata's wave three collection, which has been extremely popular. There's over 10,000 collectors in that game that we have, and it's generated nearly $10 million in sales. And so I'm a big fan of that myself.
Exciting Announcements
And we've got the official trailer that will be dropping at the end of my presentation, so that's really cool. But I think the biggest thing for me, and the reason why I really wanted to do this type of thing is the gaming I want to get. We had a bit of a taste of it at Gamescom, where Samsung was hosting us, but we only had two computers inside the booth that we had. And so while we were in a really big space and it was an awesome hall and all of that kind of stuff, the two terminals that we had were just completely filled every single minute of the day and weren't able to showcase tournaments.
Running Exciting Tournaments
And so we're going to be running three tournaments with one with VC's, one with influencers, and the other one with, I'm hopeful, DeFi founders, but it may just end up being a mix of different people across NFTs and maybe it's a more going to be project founders, but I'm really keen to get my brother in and have him be a little bit embarrassed by losing to other DeFi founders. That's going to be what we're running throughout each day.
Tournament Details
There's also going to be a tournament where anyone inside the event is able to apply for. So we'll have registrations open on day one and then we'll run that tournament on the last day. And the idea there is for the three organized events prior, there'll be some prize money, some money going to charity, so really helping out some good causes. And then for the people, one where any, for anyone that buys the ticket at permissionless, there'll be a big prize pool which we've never actually ran in person before. We've obviously done a lot of tournaments online, but I'm really excited to be one of the commentators, one of the presenters inside the booth where we'll literally be going around like a proper esports tournament. And by that time we should be pretty close to launching our leaderboards and our tournaments platform to really start incentivizing people to go into arena. So lots of exciting stuff.
Personal Experience at Permissionless
I'm really keen to get out there. I went to a permissionless not last year, but the year before and it was a fantastic event. I've obviously I've been to quite a few of these over the last three or four years and this one really stands out for me as being particularly well ran. And so yeah, if you're at permissionless, come and check out our booth. You'll be able to play some cool games. I'm speaking to the devs at the moment to try and have maybe even a version of combat where we can sneakily put one of the terminals. So you'll be experiencing things for the first time across the board from us and hopefully we'll be leaking a whole bunch of new stuff that's coming soon. Thanks, guys.
Merch and Community Engagement
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it a lot. And also if you. If you are coming, you'll probably be able to swoop up some nice merch and some other things. I know Roger sent over some stuff from the Netherlands that, you know, I think he sent possibly some key chains. I know we got some shirts coming, some cool permissionless shirts and maybe even some gift cards. I think for some people to get some fuel so they can go get a taste of the overworld and, you know, test it out for themselves for the first time. So it should be a lot of fun. But yeah, like, let's move on to Palermos. What are you guys going to be showcasing and highlighting here?
Polymos Wallet Activation
Permissionless. You guys are part of this gaming lounge that we got going. Yeah, we have been working on all together on designing an amazing gaming lounge. I hope to see you guys over there. That looks super exciting. We will invite all the people coming at permission list at registration area to create their Polymos wallet via QA code that they will be able to scan. Then we will invite you to come to the gaming lounge where we will activate this wallet and we will airdrop you exclusive perks that you will be able to use to play overworld in Illuvium in our gaming area. We will also take this opportunity to showcase our landing and borrowing functionalities in the forge at Polymos and talk about future games and chains integration and services that we are currently working on.
Telegram Typing App and Announcements
We are looking to launch a telegram typing app during the events where people will be able to perform some quests to earn, for example, PLMS points that will be able to get exchanged later on for plms token as well as running a few online fun things where attendees can, you know, get exclusive Polemo's branding gift. We also have an important announcement to share to our community which will be released during the first day of permissionless. So guys, stay tuned. Yeah, and I'll just add on to that before we move on to future. First, that one thing I don't think Kieran mentioned was I believe we're going to be also running some fireside chats, you know, with Kieran and. And Carl and Kieran and Aaron and then possibly even Kieran and his brother, I think.
Future Verse Goals
I don't know if you. I don't know if you ironed that out yet, but yeah, also he doesn't. Know that yet, but maybe it depends if he wins his boxing match. Yeah, I was going to say I'm looking forward to watching him in the karate combat so we'll see if he's. Okay after that, maybe I can interview him on what went wrong or what went right. Yeah, let's just hope he doesn't pull anselm in there. So yeah, it should be a fun time. So on to future verse. So what are you guys going to be showcasing there? I know you touched on a little bit, but what can people expect from the future verse side of the booth?
Keynote and Gaming Experiences
Yeah, so obviously we've got a keynote there on the main stage, so that's going to be a great opportunity to get the word out to the wider permissionless audience. I think we're up at a very good time, so we should have a full house ready to hear why open gaming is coming and why it matters now. And excited to jump on and do that with Karen. In the future verse ecosystem, we have the big three gaming experiences. So we have the third kingdom, which is our strategy simulation resource game. And actually this is kind of the bootstrap for this material world. So it's kind of bootstrapping the base materials for that world. We have the readyverse, which is the kind of social gaming immersive launcher experience.
Showcasing Open Game
And then we have open, which is our hero, battle royale gaming experience. So at permissionless we'll be actually showcasing and I think for the first time ever showing some in game play for open, which is the battle royale. And we'll be allowing players in the gaming lounge. We've got twelve PCs there where people can come in and play our readyverse AI generated content gaming experience. So I won't reveal too much about that because we want it to be a bit of a surprise and for people to come in and experience the intersection of generative AI and gaming for the first time. So it'd be really fun for us to get that out into the world and see how people interact with that and to showcase some of the awesome work that the team has been doing with open, our partner, studio Walker Labs has been crunching and it's looking fantastic now.
Interactive Content and Community Engagement
So little sneak and peek at that world and how it's building out. Along with, like I mentioned earlier, a preview of interoperability that we've been testing with those assets that Karen provided us from illuvium. Awesome. Yeah, definitely. Definitely looking forward to seeing it live for sure. I'd like to see this AI and gaming thing really take off. So I think it'll be something cool. I'm looking forward to personally to check out definitely. As well as people playing in tournaments and alluvium and seeing how Polemos wallet's shaping up and the asset lending. Platform, I think I'm slated to play in these tournaments, so I might also get my ass handed to me.
Fireside Chats and Notable Guests
And in the little fireside chats, I'm pretty sure we've got Ernie Klein turning up, who's the author of ready player one. So he'll be in there in person. We'll probably throw him in to play some games alongside people in the gaming lounge. And we're going to have a little chat. Chat on stage with him about what we've been building. Yeah, I would say you definitely should practice, some gauntlet. Yeah. If you're gonna go in there and try and beat Kieran. I mean, Kieran's not that tough to beat, but, yeah, personally, I, you know, kind of whoop on him, but it should be a. Should be interesting time.
Wrapping Up and Excitement for the Event
Definitely. We'll see about that. Yeah, but I think that about wraps up the hour. We'll just do it like, you know, I think this is going to be a really exciting event. You know, I haven't been to permissionless personally. I've been to quite a few different events. I think my, one of my favorite ones was definitely Aus cryptocon, which was amazing. Got to travel over to Australia for that. So that's kind of one of my, like, I went to GDC and some others, you know, but I think this is going to be super exciting. We're going to have a huge gaming lounge there.
Community Engagement and Hopes for Attendance
It should be lots of people coming through. It should be a really exciting time, you know, to really showcase what, you know, web three gaming is bringing with. With all this different stuff coming, you know, interoperability, lending and renting assets. This AI stuff that Aaron's talking about should be super cool to see live. So I'm really looking forward to it. And, you know, if you guys are going to be there, reach out. We might even have some discounted tickets. If you're considering going, reach out to me personally, I'm rich, you know, the community manager. We'll see if we can help you guys out.
Closing Remarks
If it gets you over the line to be there, we'd love to see some of our community or some of your guys communities there. Yeah. If you guys have any other question or any other remarks you want to make otherwise, I think we're just about right at the hour. Awesome. Looking forward to it, guys. Thanks very much. Thank you. Cheers. All right, thanks, everybody, for joining. And this is recorded so you guys, for having us. Yep. Thanks, Carl.
