Behind the Mic

Introduction and Welcome

Close it. It. It. It. It. All right. A very good morning to you, wherever you're listening in. Welcome to this new episode of the DStv Expresses, where we discuss the Premier League in detail every Saturday, 11:00 a.m. east african time. You can join us from any part of the world. My name is Darren Alan Chayune and today I'll be your co host for this space together with DStv. If you haven't yet followed, please do click follow for more of those commentaries and the details to do with the English Premier League, as well as much more. Because all football is on DStv. That is the premier league, the La Liga, the Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the FA cup, name it, you can catch it all on your DStv. And as well you should be able to catch some of the action later on today. Some of the games we'll be discussing, beginning with the early kick off between Brighton, who hosts Manchester United, at the Amex.

Upcoming Fixtures

Of course, there is a bigger one on paper later on tonight, Aston Villa do take on Arsenal, and we'll be as well discussing several other fixtures, including the defending champions Manchester City, who will be taking on Ipswich Town at the Etihadore. There's a lot of football to talk about, and of course I'll not be doing that alone. I'm already joined by Maxali, who I will let. I'll allow him say hello to all you guys who are already on this space. And of course you can share the link for this space in your WhatsApp groups, in your fantasy Premier League groups, perhaps to pick a thing or two on where you could actually get your best pick. I see the deadline for the fantasy is just about in an hour and 54 minutes as well. Not only Mark will be joining me, Andrew Kabura is somewhere he should be able to jump onto this space at some point. I'll be doing this with other guys who are going to throw in some bant, especially to do with their own teams as well share their own thoughts.

Engaging Participants

I have Sa Luda, who is already on this space and I think I've just dropped you the microphone, as well as Bwol, who I have as well dropped the link, the microphone to be able to be a part of this conversation. We'll be running from 11:00 a.m. up to 01:00 p.m. so if you're just done with your breakfast or if you're preparing to set to go town, you could turn it onto your bluetooth in the car or your headsets and it should be a part of this as we go on. You guys as well drop it in the comment section. I'll be throwing in some questions as we do get underway with the space and probably we should be able to react to some of the questions or comments that will be displayed here.

The Premier League Insights

But of course, on the opening weekend of the Premier League, only eight teams managed to win a game and of those eight, six will be clashing off in some of the fixtures that we'll be discussing later on. Premier League leaders Brighton opening the weekend against Manchester United, who as well beat Fulham on the very first game of the season last week. On Friday we'll be discussing that and more, including of course several other details to do with Chelsea that has got a squad that has been equated to population of a small country. Enzo Maretsuka there. But of course, let me get underway with Mark. Mark, a very good morning to you. How are you doing and how has been your past week?

Personal Reflections

Yeah, Darren, good morning. Good morning everybody. It was a good week. It's been a good one in many ways for me. Of course, back here at the local level, there are some things that made me happy about Ugandan sports. Something stuff to do with construction of Jaime Stadium and flooding off of the Paralympics team that has left for Paris to go and compete and a few other things there. So, yeah, so it's been a good week. And of course, when you're talking, as we talk here on these spaces, the Premier League starting it also brought its own bars. So I've been enjoying myself since last year, Darren, last week.

Local Sports Developments

Okay. And of course we've highlighted some things that have been happening on the local. Scene, including the football itself. The local season is yet to get underway proper. But of course there's been some football action that has been happening both at home and on the continent. But I'll not spend much of that time there. We'll perhaps dwell into some of those bits as we do go by this space. But let me get to Biwol. Biwal, good morning to you. How are you doing? I saw you last weekend briefly. How has been the past one week sporting wise?

Community Insights

Good morning everybody. I hope you know, everybody's excited for the weekend, the sporting weekend. My week has been calm. It's been peaceful, obviously from a sporting point of view. I'm looking forward to a few things here and there, hoping Villa can overturn some deficits that we have somewhere in the cuff, Champions league, local basketball. So getting, you know, quite exciting outside of that obviously the international sport is off to a flying start. PSG doing some very brilliant things. I watched the full game and I was utterly shocked how they played. And as Mark said, the Paralympics team being flagged off and, yeah, so it's been. It's been a pretty peaceful week on my end. Hopefully the weekend will be super fantabulous.

Personal Expectations

It's off to a raining start. I don't know what that means, but, yeah, looking forward to a brilliant one. Thank you. And good morning, everyone. Okay, and to you, DJ Alouda. Good morning. I don't know. Or you're going to use your English. Good morning. I hope you guys can hear me loud and clear. Yes, we can. Yeah, I hope your morning is. Well, the weather is beautiful over here. I'm the kind of person that loves the rain, so. It's looking so beautiful over here already. I don't want to tell you my location, but I'm excited about this space. I'm the kind of person that loves to talk about football, so I can't wait to get in with all the banter that's coming through.

Season Expectations

Yeah, sports wise, we've. As a national fan, we've started off on a very good start. I can't wait to see what this season unveils for. For some of us that love the. Banter that comes with the football. So, yeah, morning once again. Okay, I thought you'd begin with Mpakwayawe, but perhaps that one will come a. Little later as we discuss the tactics. Back to you, Mark. The Premier League got underway last weekend. We had some time to discuss Manchester United and their slim victory over Fulham. Not a comfortable start, but three points in the bag. We later on at the weekend realised a brilliant second half from Liverpool at Ipswich that eventually got them three points.

Recent Match Recaps

Arsenal as well, scoring two goals on either end of the halftime whistle to pick three points at home against Wolves, Manchester City dispatching Chelsea later on Sunday. And then, of course, there have been. Other. Subtitles in there with Brighton sweeping away Everton among others. But just a brief recap mark of the first ten games of the Premier League that we witnessed last weekend. And then we should probably be getting on to the other details, including the transfers. Yeah, it was. Yeah, like you said, we said a few things about Man United, Fulham, so we won't go back into that too much.

Analysis of the League

Maybe we'll talk at talk United when we're previewing Brighton. The other games were quite interesting. I was looking out to see where teams are, if they are continuing from where they stopped last season or if there were too many changes and too many teams going into transition. And I realized that it's going to be tough for the chasing PAC to close the gap on the top three because of the stability they have. Liverpool perhaps a little less than Man City and Arsenal, but still are there only because they've changed the manager. And you expect that one or two things will change about the way they play, but the other two are quite stable.

Team Dynamics

I mean, we had done some previews here, but when I looked at the games themselves, I said, right, okay. When teams have built something overdem over a period of time, same manager, almost same playing staff, the chemistry there, guys knowing exactly what they have to do, what they do with each other, it's really tough on the chasing pack. I mean, I looked at the Arsenal, for example, and I'm looking at a back four that virtually picks itself that they used almost the entire season. Last had arguably the best defense in the league, let's say back five with Briar and the central defense of Gabriel and Saliba right there and then Ben White one side and Zinchenko on the other.

Arsenal's Defense

And we had talked about here how that very strong defense from last season has got two new members, if you like, Ricardo Calafiori, who only the Italian, and then Julian Timber, who they'd signed the summer before but barely played last season because of injury. He's like a new signing that makes them even stronger in there. But going forward I was seeing the same chemistry with the same four or five guys. Odegaard playing behind high havets and Saka and Martinelli on either side of him, and Trosa coming in at some point and it's the same guys doing the same things over and over again.

Importance of Repetition

Sporting perfection, for those listening, is about repetition. Talent, it must be there and everything else must be there to start with. But repetition is where sporting perfection comes from, and I think Arsenal have that. I had questioned a bit about where their goals, whether the goals will return consistently this season as they did the last two years, considering that they don't have the one guy to depend on, the one out and out the Erling Haaland, let's say that kind of player to depend on for your odd 25 30 a season. Still, the same usual suspects are back among the goals. I mean, the goals came from Harvard and soccer and that's how they've been scoring.

Goals and Strategy

Their goals have turned out to be a ghetto of important goals for Arsenal at the right times. When he broke that deadlock, he broke the ice with that header he's strong in the air, sometimes misses some easy chances, has been attacked by several people, but has turned out to be value for money, actually, overall. And then the wide men, they produced so much last season for them that they did not at the end, have to continue to decry the absence of an out and a striker, a fox in the box, if you like. And it looks like that's going to be more of a thing this season.

Scoring Contributions

The goals will come from whoever is playing upfront, up top, even if they are a force dyno, a real one, if it's a Harvett or Gabriel Hersus. And they will come from the wide areas as well, because the guys out there can't score, but they also are playing in a system that allows them to get into scoring spaces and then they can take those goals. And then of course there'll be goals coming in from the central midfield, from Audegaard, as you'd expect, and a few others. Every once in a while, Pate or Rice will pop in with a goal. And yeah, this talk, which I haven't confirmed, maybe you help confirm that Mikhail Marino will join that party.

Midfield and Attacking Dynamics

Mikhail Moreno is a scoring midfielder as well. He's a guy we saw at the Euros helping Spain to the championship only recently. He plays deep, he does a lot of hard work and a lot of grafting in the centre of midfield, but pops up in scoring positions every once in a while and can also put the goal in the back of the net, the ball in the back of the net. So if that one is joining as well, so the worries will not be there. So Arsenal, strong defensively, strong up front every bit. The title contenders are expected. They should be.

Manchester City's Strength

And Man City, same thing. They had a tougher game than perhaps all the other big ones, with Chelsea being a very unpredictable unknown quantity under the new manager Ezra. But they went about that duty really well and I looked at them and I said, okay, right, cities still have the ingredients. They came in there. They didn't have Kyle Walker at the back, they didn't have John Stones, but those were covered very well with Rico, Lois and Akanji. So that is a stable back five as well. If you have Edison and you have Jessica and Roben Diaz, those are the same guys were playing last season.

Midfield Stability

They didn't have Rodri in the middle. That's the one that we always worry about. This city don't play without Rodri. Can they win ball games? It was difficult for them to do so over the last few years, but they did well here and actually, the guy who played in his role even scored the goal that is Kovacic scoring against his former team. But everything else around them is the usual when he comes in. He's the kind of wide player that City have used over the last few years. So he walks in there and looks comfortable.

Guardiola's Tactics

I thought, of course, at the start of the game, the pep expert wasn't working. Savinho playing on the left with his left foot and Doko playing on the right with his right foot. But they soon interchanged and became the inverted wingers that Guardiola has so famously made popular with every other manager in the world. And when they switched, you saw the comfort with which City can flow. And so Alan Haaland got onto the score sheet. Predictable, predictable. And eventually they won that. It wasn't easy for them, but you see that they have the ingredients there and they're going to be very difficult to catch, albeit because of the consistency, because of the know how, because of the repetition.

Challenges for Liverpool

So, I mean, you look at that and then Liverpool, well, for them there will be some check question marks, some changes. But still I looked at them and said, well, even if Panisylot is going to change a lot about the style, because Jugen Klopp's Geng press style, that heavy metal is difficult to emulate by other managers, it's a very tough style to emulate. And slot is more of a pep who prefers that they keep the ball. I saw they started to pass the ball shorter and shorter. But the bits about the Jurgen Klopp game remain, because you cant change players and the way they play entirely over a very short period.

Match Recap

And so that first goal was the transition from which pep used to score. The one for which Salah was let loose by a through ball and found Jota. That was a vintage clock, that goal. They're winning the ball back, and 6 seconds later there's a shorthand goal and the ball is in the back of the net. Second goal still had a switched pass as well. Even if there was some interchanging of passes between Soposlayer and Salah in the box. More of a typical slot. They'll still club written over that goal in the way the move started with a long ball, Crossfield pass to Salah anyway. And Liverpool are winning that game.

Scoring Potential

They still have the firepower. They didn't even need the services of Nunes. And Ruben D has missed lots of goals. Kodiga cocaine in there. He's still perhaps a little hangover from the Netherlands and euro. But they still have the ingredients to punish as well. And those teams are really going to be difficult for the rest of the purchasing battle cards. It might not be that easy to see over the first two, three weekends, but give it between now and November and you will see what I mean by the ones that have been doing this by repetition, being difficult to catch, by the ones that have done a lot of transitioning, and that's Man United and Chelsea.

Upcoming Challenges

Because those are the teams you expect them to be challenging them. The others may be that we'll talk about in the course of it, Darren. Spurs and Aston Villa and what it means the way they are playing. But for now, I'll hand back to you. Okay? And of course, I think 21 goals were scored across the first ten games of the season with, I think, 14. Of the teams scoring in the Premier League at least each once, beginning with. I think, Joshua Zakce, who tapped in. Four minutes from time at Old Trafford against Fulham. With that, I think I heard desire mugume here, Chelsea fanatic.

Chelsea's Performance

I don't know where he's gone, but let me switch and go to Alouda. First because. A 20 victory for Arsenal to open the season. Do you concur with Mark that everything is okay? The backline is perfect, the attack is okay. 91 goals last season. No formidable striker has come in, but still two goals already on the board. Three points on the mark, even with a trip to come to Aston Villa. Alouda. So here my thoughts about Arsenal. I think it was a good start. You know, when it comes to the first game of the season, it's usually about bugging the three points you build on from that.

Early Season Reflections

So it was a good start for me. I kind of saw a few things that I didn't like about our play, but then again, I have to cut in some slack because it's just the start of the season. We had some players that seemed a little hungover from maybe the holiday or maybe the euros. So after the 60th minute, we saw a little bit of that hangover kick in. But for me it was a good start. And I think, you know, they always say that defenses win trophies and all that. Our defense looks very stable, but when you're competing, when you're going against a team like Manchester City, you don't want to only rely on your defense.

Goal Scoring Concerns

You need to look at the scoring bit as well. And I know Arsen is the kind of team that has goal scorers from. I think the only person who didn't score last season was goalie. But we have so many players that can chip in with the goals, but I think, I still think we need that out and outer number nine to come in and, you know, somebody that can give us at least 20 plus goals a season. I know, I know that's a cliche way to look at it, but, you know, there's, I think it was around the Christmas period when we're not scoring enough goals and you just need that one person that can turn half a chance into a goal.

Scoring Struggles

We didn't have that kind of person. One of the reasons we didn't Aston Villa beat us home underway last season was because we didn't score our chances. And I feel like if we had that out and out number nine, we would have put those chances away and maybe would have come out with a better result that could have led us to, you know, perhaps the first trophy since 2004. So, yeah, we are looking good, but I still think despite signing the new two players that we have, I still think we need. We need either somebody that can get us that, you know, somebody that can turn that half a chance into a goal or somebody that can create chances up top besides Saka and Martinelli.

Player Development

And I don't know if you guys have noticed, but Martinelli seems to look a bit. I think personally, I think his game is not developing. Maybe I need to give him time, but I think it's not developing. I watched him play last weekend and I couldn't. Honestly, I couldn't wait for him to come off. There's a chance that he got and he had to just square the ball to, I think it was rice. And I think he doesn't look around when he's playing football. And that's one of his weaknesses. And I think if we could improve on that, we have a better chance. But then also we can't wait for him to improve because we need to win the trophy this season.

Concluding Thoughts

You get what I mean? So for me, if we can sign a player that can come and do the business on the left side of our play, I would be much more optimistic than I am right now. Okay. Quite interesting, of course, a winning start still for Arsenal. I'll get back to you Alouda in just a moment. I see now desire. Derek von Mugumisa has joined us. How are you doing? Is your Internet perfect and good to go? So we discussed some Chelsea. Yes, I am good. Quite a noisy neighborhood. It's Chadondo day, so.

Concerns About Onana and Defence

So for me, I don't worry too much about scoring. What I worry about is what's happening right in front of Onana. First off, Onana himself. Again, as an optimist, I would like to think that this, as Onana told us, this is going to be his goods. This is going to be the season where he kind of sprouts, for lack of another word, but right in front of him, until we get the perfect partnerships in front of him, there is always going to be all this shaky stuff. And yes, de leak might walk into the squad and probably start along with Martinez or something like that, but I don't think they've had played enough football for me to be confident that they will shut out Brighton. Right? Karo Mitoma. Mitoma has always been that unspoken about underrated player who has quietly been doing things for Brighton. And along with the Adingras and Daniel Beck, you get the sense that they see united as an opportunity, as I said, keep their ball rolling. So for me, the worry is in defense. I'm hoping that de leaked and Martinez probably will get things sorted and then Mazraoui on the other hand, and Dalo probably should be able to keep that discipline and right in front of them.

Concerns About Casemiro's Role

I still worry about the sort of stuff Casemiro does. Yes, he is. He's very brilliant. He's always flying left, right and center. But sometimes I think he does more than we require of him, which makes us a bit loose, especially in defensive midfield because you see him flying in for tackles left, right and center. He's on the right wing, you know, he's causing some mayhem there. He's back at the CDM position, he's back right in front of Oneara, he's on the left wing like he's everywhere. And for me, we needed a CDM who can sit and basically just control affairs. Somebody who is not panicky, right? Somebody who can win the ball and slot a lengthy pass without having to run all those yards. Besides, edge is not on his side. So my worry, as I said, is right in front of Onana, are we able to shut out the attacking prowess of Brighton and are we able to keep disciplined in the CDM position?

Cultivating a Positive Culture

Having said that, obviously I'm positive, right? I'm positive. I think, you know, the guys at Ineos are cooking. They really are cooking. And not just in the sense that they're bringing in all these decent players and whatever, but generally the culture of the club seems to be changing. There is a bit of. And for me, I've always believed that football, and I know everybody agrees with me, football is one, not just by the players on the pitch, but it's a summation of so many things that happen both on and off the pitch. And if off the pitch you have a Messi club, chances are it will. It will shift into what's happening on the field. So I'm glad that there is organization that's happening off the field and eventually it will filter into the pitch itself and we shall start to see more decent performance. We shall start to see players having more grit. We shall start to see players having better body language. We shall start to see players giving in a lot more than they've been giving in the past.

Changing the Narrative of Social Media Statements

Because we are tired of all these social media statements that they make at the end of the game, we come back stronger and all that rubbish. We don't want that. We want them to perform on the field. So for me, this game, I'm looking at it as a process, right? I don't want to think too much about the result because, as I said, both Brighton and United, one can say, are turning a bend. So it could go either way. What I want to see is the football. What I want to see is the desire. What I want to see is some kind of intent from united and irrespective of what the result is, as dubious as that sounds, irrespective of what the result is, for me, I'm looking at this as another step towards creating a system for United. So if we see that system being displayed by the players, if we see that system being respected, if we see that system, if we sit and hug, controlling the game, making the right substitutions, I'll be comfortable.

Perspectives on Squad Performance

But as I said, this game should worry any United fan. We're going with hope. Xoxi seems to be firing on all cylinders. Hopefully Rashford can wake up and do a bit better. Ganacho is starting to look like the kind of player who you worry about when he comes off the bench. It is unfortunate that Diallo won't be available. He has some family, unfortunate news he got and so he's not going to be available. But the rest of the squad, in my opinion, should be able to show up. I still have question marks about the right wing. I mean, Diallo should have been playing there. He's not going to. Antony, up until today, I really don't know what to make of Anthony. He's that person who flatters to deceive, right? You know, he has all this excitement, he has all this. He has all this. All this gusto. He has all this and he has one or two tricks, but the final product is always lacking. So for me that's the worry. Otherwise the squad should be good enough to do something decent today.

Game Predictions and Reflections on Team Performance

At worst, I am hoping that United will win this game to one at worst. Thank you. To one at worst. Mark, I want to come to you. Of course, I'll get some submission from aloud and desire as well on the same fixture briefly. But looking at this particular fixture, Mark, of course Biwal has exercised caution in his submission, even if he has got a little bit of optimism that they can be able to pick the three points at the Amex. I just want to pick it from you, Mark, because he's talked about the defence and I think there have been three reinforcements in the Manchester United defence. Lenny Ioro, who is out for about three months. The 18 year old passing centre back delete, who came off the bench towards full time against Fulham. Mazraoui, who started at right back. Dallo played at left back nearly in every slot for Manchester United at the back.

Concerns Over United's Defensive Strategy

Now you have at least a player or two to talk about. If you add Johnny Evans, Harry Maguire, Lissandro Martinez, throw in Tara Malazia, who is set to return from injury. Luke Shaw will be back at some point then. You mentioned Dallo is a utility player, more like Mazrawi. Are the concerns still at the defense? At the defense role? And then number two, mark, as you come into this one. And now bringing Brighton into perspective because we saw what they did to Everton, of course, Everton a send off for Ashley Young. And things eventually got a little complex at the Goodison park. But the spaces that Metoma pokes into Joao Pedro, who plays right behind Danny Welbeck.

Brighton’s Opportunities Against United

Jan Kubamente, the gambian who plays off the right there is Simon Adingra, who came off the bench actually to score a goal as well. For Brighton, going to the Yamax has not been easy for Manchester United, especially in times when theyve wanted to win the games there. I just want to pick your thoughts, Mark, does now ten hag think of probably moving from a 4231 into perhaps a 3.52 because he's got the options available. He's got Johnny Evans, he's got delete, he's got Lissandro, he's got, of course Maguire had a bit of a knock or something, but we've seen him since return to training. Does he go for a 3.52? You know, to try kill out those spaces that Fulham kept getting.

Considering Tactical Changes for Match Success

Eventually they could have hurt United on the counter. Do you go for a three, five two, considering the options are there in terms of defense, and then push Masrawi and Dal a little further forward, then that means meno can sit and Casemiro can sit. So that stiffles the challenge that Brighton will be bringing up in the middle. Or you keep it a 4231. And then finally, who does keep the line at the front? Because one of the major concerns for United last season was they brought in a young raismous, Hoyland, who just couldn't get the ball rolling at the start of the season. They dropped quite a number of points. Now, you see, there was a bit of mistrust against Fulham because it is Bruno Fernandes that led that line until when Zakze came on at the hour.

Evaluating Ten Hag's Tactical Decisions

So some of these changes. Does ten hag change or keep it the way it is and, you know, go and engage Brighton with the gears. You've got. Mark? Mark, are you there? Mark, are you there? Yes, Darren. Hello. Sorry about my connection. Yeah, no worries. Did you hear my question? When I went off? You were asking me about Brighton and United, right? Yes. Did you hear the entire question? Well, hopefully I did. You wanted me to. You were asking about a change of formations and all? Yes. Yeah.

Continuing the Formation Debate

Does. In what you saw on Friday night, there was mistrust in terms of the forward options that are available for ten hag. And that's in respect to the kind of state that the team suffered at the start of last season. They brought in a young Hoyland, who just struggled to get his feet going, dropped several points along the way. This time they started a more senior player in the team leader, Bruno Fernandez, at the head. Eventually they brought on Zaxe, who changed everything in Biwo's submission. Earlier, he exercised caution in terms of the worries that he's got for the defense.

Examining Man City's Dominance

And I'm thinking, if you've got delete available, Mazrawi, Dallo, Johnny Evans, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, and you look at the way Fulham was breaking around the counter, do you change that from a 4231 to a 3.52? Because you have the options anywhere available? Because at 352 you can throw Mazrawi and Dala a little further ahead. And that makes it compact against a Brighton side that can poke into all those spaces available with the likes of Mitoma, Yakuba, Minte Jao, Pedro, Simone, Adingra, who came off the bench as well to score against Everton. Your thoughts, Mark?

Reflecting on Tactical Adaptations

Yeah, I mean, it's something I want to consider. But look, it's not going to happen with Eric ten Hag, and especially not on the second day of the season, the second weekend of the season, second match day. He. He's not been very flexible with his formations. Ten hag. The one thing I've seen him change in his time at United has been to go from the out and out striker to the first nine towards the end of last season and to start this one. But he's a man who loves his four three.

Discussion on Formation Flexibility

He's a man who loves his. But he loves his back four and he loves his two wide men. And a striker up top, generally. Generally. And with a double pivot, or one and a half if you like. Casemiro now plays in mine, you'd call it a one and a half pivot, perhaps not a double. But just to address the concerns BWL had in terms of your question is the manpower might be there now because of the signings they've made. Delay, Masrawi and Euro mean that United are stronger at the back in terms of manpower and all.

Focus on Defensive Stability and Partnerships

The thing, though, is that he talked about the partnerships and that's where. Because the standard, like I said earlier or in my submission, the standard in the Premiership, has been set by Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool as the top three. And what United need at that back is the stability that those three have going forward. Eventually that team is going to have. That backfall is going to have to pick itself the way the Arsenal one did. I talked about that. I don't want to go back into it, but if you look at, say, man City, they had a back four, which you're familiar with.

Building a Strong United Backline

Even if Rico Lewis is a kid, he's only a kid, you know, he has played there quite a bit and you know that when you look at the bench, there's Stones and Nathan Ake and I, Kyle Walker to come in, the same guys who will slot in and still not destabilise the team because they played together. They've been doing this and then same Liverpool made three changes at the back, by the way, in that game against Ipswich. But you saw that in four of the back five are guys who are still remnants of the 2019 2020 team that won the premiership in one season and Europe the other in Alison and Van Dyck and in Robertson and Trent Alexander Kwanzaa was the only partner there who hadn't played back then.

The Importance of Team Chemistry in Defense

But then again when they made the changes the guys were coming on. Conor Bradley, who you knew about last season, he had a breakthrough season last season, are now slots in very well. Costa Simicas who has always been Robertson's backup, and then Konate who has always been Van Dijk's partner anyway. So that kind of stability is what United back four is going to need a there are what, 31 so famous that somebody was keeping count about 31 different partnerships at the back in central defence last season for United. So they're going to need out of all those, the new guys you've talked about and how good they are individually, they're going to need to strike the partnerships and then a formidable backline ultimately for that to be considered strong again.

A Comprehensive Look at Brighton's Strengths

And for Brighton particularly, its a worry. The difference between me and Bwol is that he worries more about the buck and I worry more about our goals. Hes optimistic that the goals will come. I still think we are 60 50, 60 goals behind City and Arsenal and im thinking whats going on here? How do you bridge that gap if your wide men are not scoring as many and if your frontman is not getting as much service as you saw with Hoyland last season? So I worry more about the front view or worry more about the back. I think the personnel is there.

Conclusion and Insights on the Season Ahead

They will just have to form the partnerships by playing together long enough. Ultimately, his worries about this game, in particular this lunchtime kickoff are well founded because, look, Brighton don't have the best players in the premiership or anything, but they have a certain chemistry, they have a certain style of play going forward, which worries you. So when you have Mitoma, that front four of Mitoma and Pedro and Nadingra, Joao Pedro and Nadingra and Danny Welbeck. It's not individually, it's not like these guys are going to jump off a page or a team sheet for you to worry about, perhaps be toma more than the others, but together, first under Potter and then mostly under Dijapi and now under this guy Fabian Herzla or Hasla, whichever way you pronounce that german name.

Match Predictions and Thoughts

So, yeah. Okay, fifth gear you talk about Mark, I'll save you this one and go to desire because desire your side. Actually, first City last weekend. Do you spare any thoughts for Ipswich town later on this evening? Actually don't. I doubt it would be a drabbing like we are expecting. Yes, man city have gotten to win games and all of that, but we need to remember, I mean, titles, but we need to remember that for the last two or three years they have had to come from behind and there has gotten to be some sort of, you know, self destruction for the sides. They have gotten to compete against those titles at some point even being behind by double figures and all of those. So yes, they're a good side, they are a machine when they switch it on and all of those. But there are reasons as to why they've fallen back in competitions over the last three or so years and all of that. So games like those against Ipswich will be games that get to disturb you. Ipswich is not a site that I want to write off when you see their performance in the championship last year, of course, not that we're watching each and every game of theirs, but it was not a team that was fancied to be where it finished and all of that. So they have something good going for them. And it's usually these smaller sides that are going to come through with a result that you know, is quite shocking. I still expect that Man City will win it, but I don't expect that it will be a drubbing like we are calling and all of that just might be one of those two ones that, you know, City had to come from behind to win.

Discussion on Players and Predictions

Okay, you can be a part of this discussion if you get into the comments section. I do see quite a number of comments have come in and probably towards the end of this space I'll open the microphone to the rest of the other guys. I do see nearly 200 of you have been on this space. I think Shepo says Man United will draw. Dishok says Man United too bright on three. Mubiro Anode says Haaland has eight hat tricks in the Premier League. He's got six. God is my fountain. That's your handle. You say Haaland is out for eight games. That was a tweet for banter by a parody account called Slow Sports news. And then I do see african uniqueness. Dan Vic who says, my question is Chelsea buying Victor Osimhen? When I get back to your desire, I should be able to answer that one because I want to move to Aluda. Because at 07:30 p.m. later on tonight, Arsenal does visit Aston Villa. It is Unai Emery up against Mikhail Ateta. Five meetings between the two managers. Ateta has only won once. Three wins for Unai Emre, including those two victories that were key last season in Arsenals spell where Aston Villa won 10 and then went on again to win at the Emirates by two goals to nil. And if you look at the margin that Arsenal lost the league by two points, probably its because of Aston Villa that they couldnt quench that thirst for a title over a 20 year period.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal Expectations

I want to come to you, Alouda, because you've talked about Arsenal not competing and winning the league like it would be like it was last season in Aston Villa. They face a tough nut to crack. I must say, Darren, I have a very fresh memory about the game against Aston Villa last season and I think it was at the Emirates. The two nil win and the memory is still very fresh. That game broke me as a national fan. That game broke me. That's when I think that's when I knew that it was over. Our season was over. And yeah, the times we played against Aston Villa, we've created so many chances. But this is why I keep saying we need an out and out striker. Somebody who can get that half chance and turn it into a goal. We created so many chances at home, even away, and we did not score. And that's. I think that's always been our problem against Aston Villa and I think it's going to be more of the same tonight. I think we'll create so many chances. But the question is, will Harvard's score? I don't know, but there was actually a conversation on the nearly broke YouTube last weekend. Two people going on about who's the beta manager, Unai or Mikhail? And I think today is. Is a good day for Mikhail to prove the delta is wrong and get one over Unai.

Tactics and Team Performance

My prediction for that one, I think I'm gonna put my arsenal hat on and say three one win for Arsenal, by the way, that's the correct score. So if you're a popular person, you know what to do. Interesting. Mark, if you could just get onto your microphone, because I want to come to you. Aston Villa's victories of Arsenal actually accounted for 40% of Arsenals Premier League defeats last season. That's how significant this double header was in putting the spanner in the works for Arsenal in terms of winning the Premier League. And looking at what we saw last weekend, Mark, a two one away win for Aston Villa, an early goal. Their new signing, Ahmadu Onana, fitting in quite early with that goal from the set piece. And then eventually them winning it late to pick all the three points in London. And now the start of the season. I think staring at winning the first two games of the season for only a fourth time in their history last season, if you recall, I think Aston Villa suffered a five one defeat to Newcastle on the opening day of the season. Ironically, they went on to finish in the top four. Blessings. So that's the kind of team that we are talking about.

Arsenal's Recent Performance

Three one win for Arsenal. Kakaira's well telling desire that stuff is not for Mikhail. He can't afford to lose against the same team all the time. And of course, Amarity Niconora returning to say, wolves two, Chelsea two.

Liverpool vs Brentford Match Preview

I do see several comments and we are nearly getting to that beat where I do open the microphone, mark, if you could mute briefly, because I want to come to you, Alouda, just to give me your thoughts on Liverpool up against Brentford. Another juicy fixture that actually will be wrapping up the weekend on your DStv. If you do pay for the Gotv super bouquet for 90,000 shillings, you should be able to catch some of this Premier League action, or your DStv compact package for 110,000 shillings, you should be able to catch this Premier League action.

Streaming Options and Additional Sports

Not only that as well, because there is the Spanish La Liga, the conversations around the Mbappe Rodrigo Vinicius Bellingham combination. Do go on. You can catch the La Liga, the Italian Serie A, there's the Dutch Grand Prix in the Formula One. There is the US Open that you can as well watch. And for all your inquiries actually on your DStv, just put the my DStv app. It should be able to sort all your challenges that you've got with your DStv.

Significance of Liverpool vs Brentford

Liverpool up against Brentford wraps up the weekend and it's a vital one, because next weekend Liverpool will be at Old Trafford to visit their arch rivals, Manchester United. Well, I hope Liverpool are focused on the Man United game so that this result can go south. But yeah, with this game, when you look at the way Liverpool play, I know their new coach is trying to make certain adjustments when it comes to how they play, short passing and all that.

Game Strategies and Predictions

But like I think Mark stated earlier, they still have that club, long ball. They still play. And I think that's the same style Brentford plays with air strikers and Waymo. So for me, these are two teams that play a very similar style of football. Of course, Liverpool ages hit with more quality players. But with Liverpool being at home and I think this is the first Premier League game at home, if I'm not mistaken, with their new coach, they will want to make a statement or he'll.

Potential Outcomes of the Match

Want to make a statement. But this is one of those games that could go either way. I think. I actually think this will end in a two draw. Whoa. Whoa. That's interesting. Even with the kind of attack that Liverpool has got, the five that we've talked about, I think Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunes, Luis Diaz and company.

Expert Insights and Fan Expectations

That's quite interesting. That's quite a bold one. Alouda. I do see, I think Aftv all the way from Belgium. Are you giving me your thoughts on Liverpool, Brentford and an extra submission on Arsenal. How are you doing? Thank you. Thank you. Dear Stevie, thank you for having me on. Now, I actually live in England though I live in London, man.

Reflections on Liverpool's Strengths

I just go and work in Belgium. So I'm not a Belgium person is the AFTV owner who gave me that name. Belgium. So I live in England. I live in London. Yeah. Thank you for having me on. Do you know what they. Liverpool. I mean they leave a prediction, you know. Obviously we.

Perspective on Liverpool's Form

In the word of opinion, that's his own views. But I find it a bit kind of hard to swallow it because Liverpool. To be honest, in fact, this season. I'm kind of scared of Liverpool this season because obviously they still got the same players. They didn't sign new players but those players, they managed to buy into what the coach is trying to do, you know.

Brentford's Challenges Against Liverpool

So listen, they have a fantastic preseason and sometimes your preseason can literally help you to pick up a momentum. And they are their first game that was against Ipswich Town. They be Ipswich. Even though Ipswich first half, they were kind of giving them a little bit of trouble but with the experience and again with the quality they had they managed to see the game out.

Focused Predictions for Liverpool

So against Brentford today they're playing at Anfield and listen come on man. That will be his first home game so I don't think that Brentford will stand any chance so Brentford is going to lose that game. I'm sorry they're going to lose that game because Liverpool come out with first salah is informed he scored last weekend and Jota to scored so hey.

Analysis of Arsenal's Expectations

And those two players. Come on man. They'll trouble any defense so I see Liverpool winning that game anyway now coming back to the Arsenal game. Yeah obviously I know they've been kind of on my channel af tv they've been. There was that debate about the best coach or whatever who's the best the better coach in terms of.

Historic Context of Arsenal's Matches

And I think that it's a good debate but again, sometimes we normally miss the contest so I think I don't want to draw myself into that at the end of the day is about between. The game is about between Arsen Villa and Arsenal and last season obviously we saw what happened. We went there, we lost one nil we came into them and I was there watching that game we lost to them two nil.

Hope for Redemption in Upcoming Match

It was so painful. Painful. So I hope that the players, Arsenal players they will not put that kind of mindset like a revenge mindset into their mind at the back of their mind today they should just go there with full. With free head and just knowing that. Listen, at the end of the day we trying to win the league twice we failed.

Mental Resilience and League Ambitions

So we've got the mentality now we've got the experience to challenge for the league so and this time we can win it. So every single game it will be like a cup game. Let's just go in there and just make sure that we do our jobs. So hopefully Arteta will come up with a good game plan and Arsenal will go and win that game.

Fan Sentiments Towards Arsenal's Game

I'm seeing it like a tie. I only mind as an Arsenal fan and senior holder I don't mind getting going away with the draw but again, if there's an opportunity for us to win that game I'll go for it. So I'll say one to the Arsenal. One into the Arsenal.

Closing Thoughts on the Discussions

Thank you. Okay, I think I'm going to let a few guys come in quickly. Thank you, Beoja. Thank you. For being part of this. I do see her. He's called bad guy. Darren, if you could hear me. How are you doing? I'm doing better than any Arsenal fan has been since 2002.

Mixed Reactions to Fan Opinions

How are you doing, my brother? Don't let that bad guy see this. Belgium guy, he's a fraud. He tells us Arsenal going to win. The league every year. Ask me. Let me ask you a question, Derek. Has there ever been a weekend, yeah. Where you have met Belgium and said, who's going to win the game?

Critiques and Rivalries

That he's never said, arsenal. This guy in America, we call him a homer. He's a homer. You know when I may tell you, Darren, I used to support Arsenal longer than Belgium. I left that club. Life's been good, Wallahi. Life has been good since I left that club.

Long-Term Support for Arsenal

You're telling me that you've been supporting Arsenals for the past 40 years now? I was supporting Arsenal since 1990. The inaugural Premier League Belgium. It's a. It's a shit club. Unite. Emery, you should have never fired him.

Reflection on Managerial Decisions

He's the second best manager in the Premier League. And he's going to show you what to do. He's going to dance all over your boys. Okay, gentlemen, we look after them. Shut up, man. I was talking to Darren, man. You're always rude, bro, coming off a mute.

Discussion on Predictions

How about you go back on mute? Belgium. Yo, yo, Darren. Make sure this arsenal man don't ever catch you. Yeah. Bad guy. I just need your prediction. Aston, Aston Villa, Aston Villa. God save you, Naomri.

Recap of Heated Discussions

Thank you very much. Okay, that was quite heated. I want to let, Edgar noah on. if you could get the mic as well as, super meek. Ateta paulino. Edgar, you there? Yes, I'm there. How are you doing?

Further Thoughts on Match Predictions

I'm doing well. just your thoughts in a minute. my prediction of Manchester United and. Brighton, it's gonna be two one because of Manchester United. On account that rush doesn't start, I expect Ganacho with Ahmad, if Ahmad is available, because he just lost his mother.

Insights into Team Dynamics

But if he's available, I expect him to start with Ganacho. Yeah, that's it. All right. Thank you very much. Let me come to you. Super Mika teta, if you could hear me. Yes, I can hear you. Are you there? Yes, you for a long.

Reflection on Arsenal's Journey

Want to answer something? How are you doing? And what's your thoughts? Thanks for having me, Darren. Mine was on Aseno. I think there's a lot of negativity around Aseno.

Contrasting Perspectives on Arsenal

Maybe rightly so many people are paying their respects to city that they have rightly earned. Excuse me, man, that they have rightly earned. But I think that we should be positive as Arsenal fans on our own.

Emery's Impact and Match Potential

There's a lot good going for us facing Emery, who was a pain in our backup, I think has shown over there that he's good at learning from his mistakes and errors from the past, and I think we'll have too much for Emery today.

Assessing Villa's Weaknesses Against Arsenal

We should surely be able to beat them. They have some key weaknesses. Usually. They love playing a high line, and should he play that high line today, I think we shall punish them.

Previous Encounters and Tactical Considerations

The last time when we lost that game, two nil away from home, it was actually at home. It was in the run in. I think it's the only game we lost. I think out of the last 19 or so games. It was arguably the best first half of football we played that whole season.

Opportunities for Arsenal's Players

We wasted so many chances, we didn't convert so many chances, and I think we shall be able to put them away. We saw Kai Havers playing off the left central midfield, LCM, and making those beautiful runs, stretching the midfield and making those traps for the playing off that offside trap.

Defensive Strategies Against Villa's Threats

Because I think if Jesus starts as forward the defense and this can be making those runs that maybe allow us to play over them. I think Emery's biggest weakness usually is that he's pragmatic, he's bit reactionary, he wants to play off what we do.

Adjustment of Defensive Strategies for Arsenal

As you were saying earlier, last time he tried to target Zinchenko and they were doubling up on him with his box midfield. I think Bailey had a goal and an assist in that game. So surely this time I'm sure we shall not be playing Zinchenko.

Defensive Line Changes for Improved Performance

We shall be playing Jurian Timber, who's very much available. He can do everything that Zinchenko offers us on the ball in terms of building up the play, trying to set us up and progress the ball.

Strengthening Arsenal's Defense

He can also invert, he can dribble. So I think he's stronger in the one v one. Zinchenko's main problem is that one v one, that ball in behind. He doesn't trust his pace.

Identifying Defensive Issues from Previous Matches

And I think we're seeing those memes where he was off the line, the last line of defense, wherever. He's too worried about Bailey catching him off the back and he's a bit too deep compared to the rest of the line, so it makes that diagonal easier to find.

Impact of Key Player Absences

And I think Villa will also miss Douglas Luiz, who was very key. I think he's underrated, who was very key in terms of those long ball switches that were catching us on that transition.

Counter Midfield Strategies

I don't think Onana is as good on the ball as much as I think you give us a test in terms of the duels and physicality in the middle of the pitch, where I expect Declan Rice to counter that superbly.

Concerns on Arsenal's Injury Management

I'm also praying he doesn't start. Thomas Patti, who I think had a good first half the previous game against wolves, but I think edge and, I don't know, injuries sometimes. He's losing his leg.

Hopes for Key Player Fitness

It feels like he can't go that long. He can't play that much. So I'm hoping Thomas Pate doesn't start. We have Declan rice in that defensive midfield with Odegaard and Kai havers off him.

Predictions for Arsenal's Starting Formation

Then hopefully we can have Hessel starting as a central striker. That is my prayer that Julian Timba is in, you can rise in and Thomas Pate is out.

Optimistic Predictions for Team Performance

What's your prediction for this one? I'm thinking we can have a two nil. Two nil win. A low score, but a clean sheet for sure. Thank you very much, Paulinho.

Wrap-Up of the Current Match Discussions

Okay, now I do have ingini, Athony, Mayazi. If you could unmute and just give your thoughts. In a minute. Tony, are you there? Or I could let Ronald say something. Just need to wrap this up.

Final Instructions for the Discussion

20 past the hour. Okay, if. Okay, let me see if I can get any of the other guys wanted to speak onto the space. Just some of the comments that I've come through.

Comments from the Audience

Let me see. Twin Omgisha Dines says in Aston villa, we believe for the goodness of peace and sanity. Manuel Kilama says, it's still early in the season, but I'm skeptical about how Palma will perform.

Thoughts on Palma's Performance

I have a feeling the league will find ways to contain him. Hopefully Mareska can assemble a team that thrives around Palma. Bukenha. Simon Peter says, liverpool zero.

Predictions from Viewers

Brentford zero. Arsenal two. Aston Villa, zero. Manchester United will lose today. That's Bukenya. Simon Peter, some of the comments that have come in.

Conclusion of Discussions

I want to get back to the gentleman on the space quickly. Who is this? Are you able to speak at this moment? Okay, if I can't get him, let me return to you.

Summary of Individual Predictions

Bwol. First. Liverpool up against Brentford. Your final thoughts as we wrap this up? Yeah, Liverpool. Brentford. As much as I want Brentford to put up a challenge, I think with Tony still out in the cold, I don't think Wesa and Mbemo are enough to pose Liverpool the kind of threat that I would have wanted.

Expectations for Liverpool's Performance

And as you rightly mentioned, Liverpool is front five, firing on all cylinders. You don't know who will come at you on any given day. And as everybody has rightly mentioned, Liverpool seem to be picking up from where they left off the previous seasons.

Concerns Regarding Managerial Challenges

And for me, my worry for Liverpool right now is, as I think Mark mentioned it also. That the transition from one manager to the other. Normally the expectation is through the roof. And that could mess things up.

Optimistic Forecast for Liverpool's Game

But that aside, this should be a simple win for Liverpool. I'm going to go for a two nil Liverpool win. Yeah. Okay.

Desire's Thoughts on Upcoming Game

Desire, Liverpool. And Brentford, for me, is a game that I'm more excited about. Really seeing what slot is really getting to do with that. Liverpool side, we've seen a little bit of the preseason and how much he's not changed much.

Stability in Liverpool's Squad

But there's still a couple of fundamental changes that he has brought to that particular team. Brentford, on the other hand, they were a team that, you know, were quite slippery for an opponent and all of that.

Expectations for Liverpool's Home Advantage

I think, however, that Liverpool, especially with the stability I think Mark was talking about, you know, the art of repetition and all of that, the stability they have maintained.

Identifying Liverpool's Identity

The new guys come in is not changing so much. It's a team that has some sort of identity going on. They should have enough to get to push over.

Anticipation for Anfield Crowd

And, of course, the Anfield crowd getting to watch their team for the first time, at least competitively, at home. And all of that should be too much for Brentford, in my opinion.

Concluding Prediction for Liverpool

And, yeah, Liverpool, 20 is my prediction on that one. Okay. And, Mark, just to come to you, just a brief submission.

Reflecting on the Match Against Brentford

Liverpool up against Brentford. This fixture is key because next weekend it will be Liverpool right in front of the Old Trafford crowd.

Importance of Performance Before Manchester United Match

How important is this for Anslot? First of all, his first game in front of the Anfield faithful. But also, looking at it as it is, if you take six points to old Trafford, you're perhaps in a greater frame.

Examining Brentford's Approach to Bigger Teams

Oh, yeah, absolutely. Look, Brentford Thomas, Frank and company, those guys, well, they are bold, they are fearless.

Brentford's Attitude Against Big Teams

I like the attitude they have about the way they approach games against the big sizes. I think because you have little to lose, you are not going to be blamed for losing against big teams.

Brentford's Competitive Approach

Because they are that much bigger than you and everything. I like the positive attitude they take into these games. So they are going to come to Anfield and play.

Traditional Styles in Modern Football

Of course, when you're playing against Brentford, you have to contend with some stuff. They're one of the few sides that retain some of the things about what English football used to be like.

Evolution of English Football

For those who are too young to know that. Because it has really evolved with the advent of foreign managers and all the foreign players.

Brentford's Direct Play Style

But Brentford retain a bit of what it used to be like. So they can actually be direct. They can be physical.

Recognizing Brentford's Unique Qualities

The physicality that Brentford bring into games means that you have got to be on your game. You've got to be sharp, you've got to be ready to run.

Preparedness for Match Intensity

You've got to be ready to duo. And I don't think they've lost any of that. And yet they can't play.

Assessing Brentford's Goal-Scoring Capabilities

We know they can play. They don't have that opening game. I think I just saw highlights of it. But they don't have Ivan Tony, right.

Brentford's Prolificity Without Ivan Tony

But they do have goals. They still have goals coming in from visa. These Africans who for me, seem to even play better for their clubs than the national teams.

Performance Dynamics of Key Players

There are some players who we see play better at national team level than they do at their clubs. But the productivity of Mbuemu and Vita and that Brentford shirt is up there.

Anticipating Brentford's Threat to Liverpool

So they will be a threat to Liverpool. There's a. I remember, is it three, four seasons ago there was an opening, this game between Liverpool and Brentford which ended in a three.

Recalling Previous High-Scoring Encounters

And that kind of thrill they can produce. But they're up against Liverpool at Anfield.

Anfield's Impact on Player Performance

I mean, so be. I mean, there's very few teams that really make the twelve man count like Anfield fans.

Support Strategies for Liverpool

And they're going to. I'm sure the Liverpool guys are going to want to show the new manager they are behind him.

Fan Support for the Liverpool Team

Those fans, those faithful Anfield fans. And they are going to behind that team. I don't see any result but a Liverpool win in front of that crowd, to be honest.

Determining Liverpool's Key Match Contributors

And I think there's a few guys that were not as involved in the opening game that will be in this one. There's one or two things that worry me about Liverpool when they play midfielder.

Liverpool's Dependence on Past Management Styles

The one they did against Ipswich, the one that has McAlister and Gravenberg and then Zoposlai is how hard are they going to work without the ball doubling back?

Past Successes and Current Challenges

Because the club the Liverpool Jurgen Klopp got used to was the one in which you knew what Jordan, Henderson and Fabinho brought to the pitch when Liverpool didn't have the ball and what was his name?

Challenging Liverpool's Current Team Structure

The Dutchman. The big Dutchman. How much work they used to put in off the ball without it.

Transition in Team Dynamics

Because on it they were expected to win it and get rid of it quickly for the quick transitions. That Klopp made a hallmark at Liverpool.

Approaching Changes in Team Methodology

They were not expected to be the ones who made the final pass. So they didn't come up with many assists. They were not expected to come in with that many goals either.

Identifying Creative Contributions to Liverpool's Play

But because the creativity, the final ball was coming in from the full backs and the creativity was coming in from the kind of nine they had at the time in Roberto Firmino.

Comparing Individual Player Contributions

And so the guys around him would get onto the end of it and score. I'm talking money and Salah. There's a difference there.

Evaluating Tactical Approaches

When you have Gravenberg and McAlister and Zaporozli is how hard are they going to. Are they willing to run without the ball?

Concerns Over New Transfers

How hard are they willing to work and double back? While McAlister circumstances have forced him to play as the deepest of the three as a holding midfielder, he wasn't naturally that he didn't play like that at Brighton and that's not the role he occupies for Argentina either.

Strategic Managerial Decisions

But he's asked to do that here because I mean, you remember so famously Liverpool went into the market last season for both Caesedo and Romeo Lavie and they ended up at Chelsea.

Final Thoughts on Liverpool's Midfield Dynamics

And then they settled for Wataru Endo, who slot did not start in that first game. So there might be a few question marks I have there.

Encouraging Insights on Team Reintegration

But I always say, and for those who perhaps are new to the space, I always say it's tough to play against Liverpool. I already talked about how the stability they have in their back five.

Identifying Team Strengths and Consistency

But for me the ability that a club can have five goalscorers who are so different from individually that they complement each other, it's tough to play against over a season. I fancy these guys too easily.

High Expectations for Liverpool's Performance

Between the five of them produce 100 goals in all competitions. Last season, like I told you, they came short but I won some money over that.

Final Reflections on Player Contributions

But if you have Salah and Jota and Luis Diaz, these guys are so different individually but so complementary together. And then you have Nunes and Gakpo to come and you dont know which one of them is going to punish you on the day.

Closing Thoughts on Liverpool's Future Prospects

But you know that two or three of them will. Its a tough proposition. I fancy Liverpool to win that game at Anfield.

Adapting to New Managerial Challenges

I fancy them to transition easier into a new manager. Relatively. I'm not saying easier, but relatively easier than say like I said I referred to earlier than Arsenal did post Wenger, post Asen Wenger and Man United did post Alex Ferguson.

Future Prospects for Liverpool's Squad

It might be a little easier because of this kind of squad Klopp has left behind and because the manager is half decent.

Highlighting Managerial Competence

Actually not too many people knew about Anislot, but he's not so bad. If you ask me about between the two Dutchman, him and Eric ten Hag who perhaps talks a better game.

Wrapping Up Weekends Premier League Insights
