Behind the Mic
Genuine players are happy. You're not going, you may not attract as many people during that time because the DJ's will come because, okay, this is going to take a long time to mature, but the genuine players will just naturally play the game, get those items, and then over the period of time, the game continues to grow, they will mature in value. And we saw this in the, even like a Pokemon. So Pokemon, they released their, so they're on Scarlet and Violet now. But before it was sword and Shield was the last set. And when it came to sword and shield, those boxes are releasing and they weren't really having any value, right? Like they would come out, they would stay on shelves, they would take time to go through their cycle. And everyone said, you know, collecting modern era Pokemon is useless. If you're gonna buy Pokemon cards, buy the early base set stuff, that stuff is going to hold its value. Modern Pokemon, useless, right? Like that was a general sentiment and it was almost unanimous. Everybody agreed. But then what we saw happen, like when sword and shield print run finished after like a year or two, and then Scarlet and Violet came out. Scarlet and Violet came out and people started to notice, oh my god, sword and shield says like a bajillion set. Where can I get a sword and shield box? Where are the sword and shield packs? Then people started looking, trying to buy them and realized, hey, these are rare things now. When did this happen? Nobody told me when sword and shield was the hottest new thing. Everybody wanted those modern era cards. And so if you go and look online, those cards and packs are highly valuable now. Like for whatever reason, now the hype has moved back to sword and shield. So this took a little bit of time, but with due time, things will mature. And I think that's the same for any in-game assets when you get through like actual play and I think that's a better projection overall. Correct. And it's also that if more players keep joining the game and they keep wanting to play more from all corners of the world and different people keep playing, then it's, they need those assets to be able to play competitively with others or, you know, just out of interest, they want to collect towards specific collections. And then if you're a long-term player, for whatever reasons we have so many gamers here who play specific assets into end with an into end strategy, rather than just to here for Oh, I will open 100 packs today and sell everything next year. So those are the people who will eventually have those maturity assets that take time to convert. And I think those players genuinely enjoy the gameplay, the community like this across games. Exactly. Exactly. So we will move to the closing notes now. We still have days to cover. And we appreciate you once again. And last but not least, Alston from battle showdown. I'll give you the closing words. Anything you want to say, anything we should know? The mic is yours. No, I don't want to take up too much time. This is last day of our campaign. You have around eight more hours before it closes. If you want to find out more info, check out the pin tweet. But this was super awesome. I really enjoyed the tower discussion. You know, this is just the beginning. Alston, I think you are rugging for the last few seconds so we couldn't hear the last sentence, but I think you were saying thank you to everyone so we can maybe wrap it up here and we will see you. I know we have a few more shows for you guys at Gambit, so I don't know when the next one is. I'm just getting old. But with that being said, you guys take care. Have a great weekend as well and we'll see you soon. Bye.
