Behind the Mic

Introduction and Welcome

Good morning, good morning. Good morning to everyone. Thank you very much guys, for joining us again. Welcome to a fresh weekend, a fresh round of matches in the English Premier League, all powered by DStv. It's a special space that we have every single Saturday at 11:00 a.m. so I want to thank everyone, and I mean everyone, for always having that time to make sure they join us. We do expect same thing, full thrown out analysis. Certainly. We do expect Alan Darren Cheyne to join us quite shortly. DJ Aluda should be on this space. Desire Mugumisa should be joining us and already AIGP retired. Afande Kasinje has already joined us on this space. He will be a man with so many opinions, I'm quite sure after last weekend into this weekend.

Fixtures Analysis

But as I wait for everyone to join in and then we can officially start, let me just quickly rush you through the fixtures, guys. First of all, last weekend we're going to have a bit of analysis on that. Chelsea travelling away and beating West Ham by three goals to Neil. Aston Villa winning three one against Wolves at home. Three one as well for Fulham against Newcastle. So big surprise for Silva and everyone at Fulham. One one between Everton and Leicester. Another game that saw Everton take a lead but just couldn't hold on. Liverpool convincingly beating Bournemouth by three goals to nil certain Louis Diaz on a double in that game. One one between Southampton and Ipswich. Spurs who Manchester United play tomorrow, winning three one against Brentford. And then of course you had United dropping points at Selhurst Park, Neil between Eric ten Hag's side and Crystal Palace. And then on Sunday there was that four-goal thriller between Brighton and Wolverhampton Albion and Nottingham Forest. And obviously another four-goal thriller between Manchester City and Arsenal.

Upcoming Matches and Reminder

A very dramatic game. I'm quite sure it will show up in most of the analysis this morning. This weekend, big games coming your way with DStv. Quick reminder to everyone that now you can actually watch all this Premier League action on the go simply by downloading DStv stream. So make sure you have DStv stream, guys. Whichever part of the country you're in, you will be able to watch your football on the go. Your lunchtime kickoff this weekend is at St. James's Park. Newcastle a rap against Manchester City who don't have Rodri. Another huge discussion we shall have. Arsenal at 05:00 p.m. are hosting Leicester City. West Ham are travelling to Brentford. Brighton are travelling to Stamford Bridge. Crystal Palace are traveling to Goodison Park. Fulham are taking on Nottingham Forest and then at 07:30 p.m. at the Molyneux it is Wolves up against Liverpool. Sunday has Ipswich, Aston Villa and then that big one Manchester United up against Spurs before some Monday night football.

Social Media Interaction

We'll see Bournemouth up against Southampton at the Vitality. So much in terms of statistics I could be bringing up throughout the space. But let me first of all start off by welcoming Afande Kasinje who has joined in. I can see Darren on this space as well. Afande, good morning. Welcome to a fresh space, a dramatic last weekend. How are you feeling? Good morning, Andrew. Thank you once again for having us on this very, very, you know, good program on football. Yes, I am okay. I am okay. Yeah. The weekend has been a weekend of, you know, words here and there. Some of us on social media, a lot of things to say, a lot of things not to say. But I'm happy. I'm happy considering the fact, Andrew, you remember I predicted that it would be in favor of us. But you know, you know what happened. Now we are being accused of all things dark art. I don't know what it means, but I am okay.

Match Analysis

And the EPA is becoming interesting, Andrew, as we go into this discussion, you can see a lot of heat that is, that we are experiencing and I think that should be what the best league in the whole world should be offering to us. Thank you. Thank you very much. Social media, the things social media does. We all have opinions, all our opinions. Sometimes from a very emotional perspective. Last weekend, I have never been banned on social media than last weekend, you guys. Oh, wow. The Arsenal fans coming out in numbers. But you love it, Afandi, you love the banter. I just saw you asking someone. Yes. Who the referee would be for the months in the Newcastle game. You love the banter, don't you? I do. I do love the banters. Sometimes people think that you are going to run away from the obvious, you know, trying to push you on the wall so that.

The Emotional Aspect of Football

But with football, Andrew, I want to promise it is fire for fire when it comes to football. There's nothing to hide. You know, these are emotional things. These have a lot of attachments. Most people who do not understand football fans, they think they are just there, you know, but there's a lot of emotions and attachment, Andrew, there is a lot of emotional attachment to Manchester United. You know, whether you are down, whether whatever happens, that is the attachment that you have. So yes, social media this weekend, the whole week it's been fire and now it's even going to be more interesting. Considering the fact that we are going into more games and you know what? If Arsenal is beaten today at five, if we are beaten, then, you know, it's going to be two weeks of talking. It's going to be two weeks of talking. And if I. If Man City loses, oh, it's going to be another.

Referee Implications

And of course, Andrew, there is going to be a test. There's going to be a test and people are watching referees more keenly and I want to see the referees, how they behave in a Man City game and in an Arsenal game. I want to see that first euro card to an Arsenal player and I want to see whether there is going to be another card to that very Arsenal player regarding the slightest mistake that player gets. And then I will start, you know, putting together pieces here and there to try to understand what is going on in the English Premier League. So a lot of things to see, a lot of things to study, a lot of pushing and pulling. And of course, at the end of the day, guys, we need to sober up. We need to be human beings. We need to show that we support the lovely game, the most beautiful game in the whole world, and we should remain. We shouldn't take it that far.

Manchester United Performance

It's a game, after all. Somebody has to win, draw or lose, and that's what happens. Yeah, there's a lot of things that I would be. I'm going to watch all the games, some weddings here and there, but I'm going to cut them off, Andrew, that is going to happen and I'm going to watch each and every game and see what happens. I thank you. Thank you. Afande, it seems you have a party every single weekend. You're enjoying your life, human. You really are enjoying your retirement and I wish you the very best. Thank you again for joining us. Guys, we are proudly powered by DStv and a quick reminder to everyone that right now you can download the DStv stream, which means you can watch all those games on the go. Very, very busy weekend.

Closing Remarks

Just like you had a fun day, you also could be busy going somewhere, don't worry. Download that DStv stream and then you can watch all that action wherever you are. Quickly go down to the comments section. Guys, we love those predictions because they either embarrass us or they make us excited. Huge games coming up this weekend. Just before I introduce Darren, please send in those predictions. I think our focus obviously first is at St James is back, Manchester City up against Newcastle at exactly 230. Then send in your predictions for Arsenal, Leicester. I also really want to see your predictions, guys, for Man United spurs. Do you think Angie poste koglu, fresh from a huge result in Europe in mid-week, can actually go on, not in Europe in the cup, can actually go on and still win at Old Trafford? So huge predictions and we do expect those from you guys.

Discussion on Upcoming Matches

Darren, good morning to you. Welcome aboard. What a weekend of football coming up. But more importantly, Darren, what a weekend of football. We just wrapped up some huge results there, including a four-goal thriller at the Etihad. The Premier League just keeps getting more and more dramatic. I wonder how excited you are ahead of this weekend, Darren. Yeah, hi, Andrew and the guys listening in. Great to have you all. Well, it's been a captivating one, I must say, because looking at what we've witnessed over the first five match days of the Premier League, I think nearly everyone has dropped points. As things stand, I think we left with about a couple of teams that are just here to pick up a point that are yet to win a match in particular.

Analyzing Manchester City and Arsenal's Performances

And I think two of them do meet this weekend in that particular sense. And if you look at it right from the bottom to the top, I must say it's clogged and packed. There are conversations right within the middle of the table at the top and I've seen Pep Guardiola in yesterday's press conference sending words back at Mikhail Arteta. And I think Gabriel the defender, which means that two old draw at the Etihad must have gone into the heads and minds of the players at Manchester City. And I've got to be clear, I think the draw opened up a new chapter or a clearer picture that Manchester City is beatable. Majority will conquer here on the space that if Leandro Trossard keeps on the field of play and is not sent off and it's the halftime mark, you come back to the second half, you still have eleven players on the field of play. Arsenal will play on the front foot.

Tactical Changes and Player Analysis

I think some of the statistics the commentators kept reading out, I think at about an hour gone Man City were soaking in all the pressure at Arsenal and you've got to give Mikhail Ateta his flowers for being that bold to decide to take off Bukayo Saka way early at halftime. And when he took him off at halftime, inevitably there is a bit of worry to take off Bukayo Saka at halftime and bring on Ben White because it was clearly a defensive choice. Crossad is gone. It means if you take off Saka, you're clearly decimated. After the halfway line, inevitably what happened was City got the equalizer right at the death. And just because that kept knocking at the door, eventually you felt that second line right outside the box would eventually give way. Because at a point I felt they got deep, especially on that set piece that eventually gave Manchester City their late equalizer.

Discussion on Newcastle and Manchester City

Are they at that level? Thank you so much, Andrew. Personally, I think they haven't reached that level. To be honest. Last year Newcastle was on fire. You could see that the striking line was one of the deadliest in the Premier League. The midfield was there in the air. They were playing center football. They were very good on the ball and even when they lost the ball they would recover. And so last year Newcastle was doing. So, so good. Looking at Newcastle now, I don't know what is happening. They are not that convincing in any case. That's how they lost a game last weekend and I'm not sure whether they are going to cause any dent to the visitors to Manchester City. I don't see that happening. Even when Rodri and KDB are not in the team. I am sure that Man City wants to prove to the world that look, what happened at Etihad with Arsenal was something different other than the tactics of the team and all that. So I see Man City nicking it. Three one. I don't see. I would love. I would love to see Newcastle beat Man City, but I don't see it happening, Andrew.

Moving on to Chelsea vs Brighton

Okay, fair enough. There you go. That is the prediction from afar as well. Desire, if you want to drop in a quick comment on Chelsea on City Newcastle you can, but I want us to move on to Chelsea and Brighton and hove Albion playing at home. It is five up against seven. Just a point separates Chelsea and Brighton. I think the jury is still out on both and of course, the Brighton boss, the 31 year old. But this is a tight game, man. Guy. This is a really tight game. Desiree. Okay, it seems desire is desire. Okay, desire can't hear me. So let me go back to Darren. Darren, actually, I'm sorry, I was a bit distracted. Okay, no problem. There you go. If you want to add in on Newcastle, Man City, you can, but our focus really now goes to Stamford Bridge. Like I said, there isn't much really separate Chelsea and Brighton if you look at statistics this season. And the jury is out on both managers, to be honest, still early in the campaign. Tough, tough battle this one, isn't it?

Brighton's Managerial Success

Yeah, it's a tough battle. I'm really impressed by the 31 year old Husserla and the job he has done at Brighton football club. And I will go back to, first of all, appreciate Brighton. When the new owners of Chelsea came in, one of the teams, they kept benchmarking on and admiring what they were doing and all of those kinds of things were bright on. And there were a couple of Chelsea fans, a big chunk of us who are not impressed, who felt that, you know what, we are a big club. The people should benchmarking on are the Manchester cities of this world. And, you know, Barcelona is not much to benchmark on lately with all their financial issues and all of that. But yes, bigger clubs in the world if you want to be big, benchmark on them. But here they were looking at models of Brentford, models of Brighton and I Albion and all of that. Matter of fact, when they sacked their first manager, tusho, they went to Brighton and went on a shopping spree from their manager to, I think, Wayne Stanley, one of the sporting directors, and a couple more people.

Brighton's Consistency in Management

But over time, and like general Mujisha Muntu says, time does show things, you get to see that Brighton have not gotten a managerial appointment wrong for the last couple of times we paid attention. I mean, they lost Graham Potter when they didn't expect to. When Chelsea took him, they brought in, you know, de Zerbi, who at first we said was picking up on what Grandpa had done, but he went on to do something good with that squad before he lost the players that he wanted. And of course chose to go a different direction in terms of recruitment from what the club were doing. And they seem to be firm and assured of what they are doing, Brighton. So, yeah, desiree believes they go. And we are thinking all these other names that could come into the club, some of those that we had and all of that. I know it is Hazala that they want to be taking a chance on and look how well he has done ever since he got to come in.

Chelsea's Competitive Potential

A couple of huge results, including that first one against Manchester United already in the bag. So for me, the appreciation is that they have their model, they know how they're going to operate, they are operating within their budgets, they're not giving away wages they can't afford and all of that. And they're not hiring people that will demand a huge sign on fees that we will not know about over a period of time. They brought in Kaisedo when Manchester United walked away from him. They brought him in and nurtured him. And yeah, he's the most expensive player or midfielder, one of those in the Premier League and all of those kinds of things. So, Hazela, again, very impressive what he has managed to do with the club. And yet another appointment coming in from Brighton. And yes, another thing that many of our top clubs, especially those of us that are in some sort of transition, Chelsea, Manchester United, name them, need to be looking back and thinking, you know what, there must be something that we are missing out on in terms of what they are doing.

Analyzing Chelsea's Current Form

However, coming to the game proper, I feel, well, the thing about football and sport, you are as good as your last game. And that is even truer when you look at what the fans expect of a club. And all of that, with the performances, with his performance in the press conference, with the results that have come through. I mean, were, what, the second the other day after winning first in the weekend before other teams go to play and all of those kinds of things. We've not seen Chelsea in those positions before. So we are very confident. And some of the things that we've looked at Mareska do is that he's not coming into each of these games with this is how we play kind of situation, a guy who is coming through and realizing that this is how these players move or this team plays and coming up with solutions for them. So I am quite confident that we should be getting a result against Brighton and hovel beyond.

Chelsea's Defensive Record

If it turns out that we get a clean sheet, it will be the first time that we've gotten three consecutive clean sheets since February. And I think that was 2022 when we had Graham Potter in charge. So, yeah, I'm confident. I am hopeful and I think we're on an upward trajectory, which I am not sure should be stopped by Brighton and Hove. I'll be on later. So, yeah, that's my prediction. Is it the heart or head? I'll figure it out after the 90 minutes and all of that, but, yeah, I don't see Brighton and hove be on getting to stop us, especially seeing as it is the one club that even when Pochettino was struggling, he always found a result around them and all of those kinds of things. So they haven't been that boggy aside for Chelsea.

Looking Ahead to Liverpool's Fixture

Unless something drastic happens today. Okay, thank you, desire. Actually, I think it was 2023, but you're right, it was February 2023 under Graham Porter. So three clean sheets could be coming through for Chelsea under Enzo Mareska. Over to you, Darren. What's quite interesting is I'm just seeing statistics here. Brighton actually haven't won a game in eight visits to London, so that's quite pathetic. And also, they obviously lost both games to Chelsea last season, even though Chelsea, I think, had a red card in each of the games. So any reason for a Brighton fan to be excited later on today, Darren? Yeah, Andrew. I think one of the major undoings for Brightons start, even if I think they're one of the four teams yet to lose a game this season.

Acknowledging Mistakes

I apologize. Everyone is allowed a mistake a week guys. That exactly was mine. Belgium AF TV let me come over to you and I think we've closed that debate because we can have that debate for more days and just won't end. What I would rather ask you though is because before you came onto this space, everyone had given their view on the fact that City have lost Rodri and we know how important he is. Pep has said it, we've watched him. I don't know. I think Pep has quality enough. He's been in this space enough to find a solution. But could that be maybe the decider at the end of the season on who actually takes this league? Oh well, Andrew has also binary question.

Analyzing Rodri's Impact

He said yes or no. Listen, it can be any. I mean it depends on the contest. And again too, Wodry has been the fantastic servant for CE. He's been there on the tick. In fact, last week, Sunday, I bet you if Woji was still playing possibly those shots that these guys were taking, because we saw it against Inter during the final where he managed to hit that and he was on target and he became the goal that allowed City to win the Champions League. So possibly he could have found it kind of a rule to at least no matter how to put, I mean, make sure that his shot is accurate and hit the target. Yeah. And again, when he's in the team, I don't know, for some reason it makes the team to play better. It makes the team to find a solution.

The Importance of Team Dynamics

Him not being in a team and be out. Obviously I wish him speedy recovery because you don't want, even though he plays for City, you don't want any player to be out for that long. It's a shame. Yeah. Could that one be an issue for City? Yes, because then what's the name with this? With the Chelsea, former Chelsea player. What's his name again too? Well, this guy covert it for some reason he's not been able. They only signed him last season. This should be his. Oh no, this is his second season he's not been able to tick because the way Roger plays is stay deep and again to defensively is good and when it comes to progressing the ball, you know that he's very good at and that's what Kovaci's lack defensively.

Evaluating Chelsea's Performance

He's not disciplined enough. So possibly, I don't know, maybe he might be dropping Bernardo Silva in there and. Yeah, should that one. Again, it seems to normally bring them some karma because when he's in the team, they do well. Even the Spanish team they do well. But here the case is not going to be in a team now coming to the end of the season. Yes. So possibly, yes, why not? Yes. It's an opportunity for every single team now to say, do you know what, roji is not there. Let's go and hit them. Let's not, there's no more. I'll be kind of scared of, oh, rogue will do something or rogue will take the game on his head.

The Shifting Competitive Landscape

So there's not going to be in this kind of conversation. Yeah, why not? It makes it difficult for CE, to be honest. But the thing is that people need to understand that, listen, it's not just about Wildrie not being in the team, it's for the fact that, listen, people now start working out how to play against City. Yeah, we are, Madrid drew against them last season. People were saying, oh, City will see better, but no problem. But now people, each coach is now working out and starting with, start finding the formulas how to play against City to stop them from playing and making sure that all the spaces, you don't allow them any spaces.

Shifting Focus to Teams Outside City

And that's, I mean, for me it's not just about Roger. Roger might be one factor, but at the same time, every single team that are working out, city cannot just win a league year in and year out. So, yeah. If you put it that way, yes. I mean, yeah, Woodri. Yes. But at the same time, the combinations of everything. Yeah, but Woji is the most. Yeah. So, yeah, city is going to lose this time anyway and Arsenal is going to win. Okay. I know it's too early to call it, but we part of the conversation, same as Liverpool anyway.

Discussion on Future Matches

I have to be, I have to be humble. Thank you. Is okay. Do I answer your questions or. Thank you, I appreciate that. Guys. Of course, we have united up against spurs. That will be our last fixture. But there are two fixtures. I feel it would just be fair. We had a small sale on. One of those is Aston Villa at Ipswich. Obviously Aston Villa are part of this conversation. They probably won't win it, but they will spoil anyone's party. And who knows, maybe they could win it. They are playing in Europe.

Exploring Aston Villa's Competitiveness

And then I feel West Ham at Brentford as well is a discussion we probably should throw in there. But afan the asan, I felt when I was discussing the Arsenal Liverpool. But I never opened your mic and I'm sure you have something hot to say. So I want to give you the microphone for a few. Then I'll come to desire and Darren to maybe help us focus on that Ipswich home game against Aston Villa and where Aston Villa actually are in this entire conversation. Send in your predictions guys in the comment section.

The Thriving Atmosphere of Engagement

I'll be reading as many as I can and do remember we are powered by DStv who are saying now all the football is on DStv. Afande, that Liverpool Arsenal discussion must have gotten you tickled. Yes, it got me tickled. I think you were asking about. I gave my own opinion about who could be in a poor position to be able to dislodge Manchester City. And I gave my opinion about that. Would you want me to continue about that? Or it was about Aston Villa?

The Vital Role of Aston Villa

No. I mean, there was so much discussion around that and I felt different points were raised by Darren Alouda and Belgium FTV. I don't know if you had a reaction to that, but if you don't, I'll be very happy to move on to Aston Villa and maybe start off with you then by asking you, where is Aston Villa in this conversation? They are playing in Europe. Highly rated from last campaign in those top slots as it comes. I could just look at the table for a second and update you guys. Yeah, Aston Villa in there. They are third just behind Liverpool.

The Rise of Aston Villa

Same points with Liverpool. Same statistics with Liverpool throughout. And yet a funde. No one seems to give them that much credit. I think we need to study the Aston Vira kind of structure kind of game, the technical abilities. Something we need to study. Because Aston Villa is known to have been a mid team, probably, you know, a team that is below something like, you know, 1312. But Aston Vida. For the last three seasons, Aston Villa has been consistent. Aston Villa's, you know, approach to the game is like they don't fear anybody.

Analyzing Team Performance and Confidence

Anybody is regular according to them. Aston Villa has had, you know, a very good striking force. Anyone can. Anyone can massacre you. You seem to think that if one player is pulled out of Aston Villa, the other one would come in and jail and be able to play without noticing that there is one guy that if he doesn't play like we've been talking about City, if Rodri is not in, if Kevin de Bruyne is not in, if Bernard Silva is not in, then there's going to be a problem. We're talking about a team that everyone seems to be at the same level, irrespective of who plays and then this team is likely to cause you trouble. So what do you prepare for?

Aston Villa's Resilience and Future Outlook

The whole team is doing well. So Aston Vidae this season has started from where they left last season and that is banging in goals and that is winning matches. I don't see Ipswich. Ipswich is a clean side that has come from the lower tier. You can say that of the other three teams that have come, Ipswich is doing is the team to write home about. But, man, Aston Villa will run them over at their own at the villa park. That one I'm sure about. And they will give trouble to very many teams.

Examining Recent Matches and Predictions

You remember we faced them. Was it the first game? Yeah. So when we first them, very many people, pundits, and they were still saying that Aston Villa was going to beat. To beat Arsenal. That gives them credibility that they are a clean side, the side that can do anything. I'm going to give this game three one or two nil to Aston Villa. Andrew. Okay, thank you very much. Avanti. I'm actually happy that you think Villa are definitely winning at Ipswich because. Yeah, I've decided Oli Watkins is my FPL captain this weekend.

The Debate Over FPL Selections

Yes. I know everyone is going with Haaland and I understand that, but I'm going. With all, he's great. Watkins is great. He's a threat every time, everywhere. Yeah. Desire, am I a mad person to go with Ollie Watkins as captain because Villa are at Ipswich? Desiree. Okay, I think desire can't hear me. Oh, he's speaking with his mic muted again. So I'll move it to Darren then. Darren, over to you. Am I a mad person to have Ollie Watkins as my captain ahead of Haaland, knowing that Haaland is going to St James's Park, Ollie Watkins is going to face Ipswich away from home? Guys, can anyone hear me or is it me who was the problem?

Bruno Fernandez's Performance

Let's leave the footballers do their own stuff, man. I mean, it seems to me that everyone trying to get single views Bruno Fernandez as a footballer. You ended up losing balls. You know, sometimes kind of lapses concentration, but it's not like, oh, he loses the ball all the time. Look at it. Look. Last week against the last game, that was it. No, against Fuller, against where they drew, was it. Oh, their last game, sorry, if somebody can remind me of that last game they played and our game where literally, look at the shot, look at the ball, the splitting ball. That should have been a goal, you know, for what name is. And the thing is that people don't take those. When he does the good things, people don't take it into consideration. They don't really talk about it. They're only just waiting to just say, oh, he loses the ball. Oh, it's so reckless. Come on.

Footballers and Their Risks

No footballer goes out there to become reckless. Sometimes you try and you take those risks, those long passes. He's the one who got hit at City, at Manchester United, who can again to hit those 40, 50, 60 passes at Manchester United. Okay, Onana is there. But apart from Onana is Bruno Fernandez. So why people trying to dis these guys? It's ridiculous. I don't like it. No footballer goes out there trying to be like, oh, the low. Okay, let me be reckless. No, but they try stuff and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work out. So that is the situation with Puno Fernandez. This is the portuguese international. Man, stop this conversation, man. He's a fantastic player. So listen, I don't know what I mean, whether I could kind of tell you what you want to hear, but for me, he's a fantastic player and the guy is doing well.

Management and Bruno

Leave him alone. He's played under how many managers? If he's that bad, they will have dropped him. They will have sent him alone, they will have sent him away. McTominay, he was there, man. You or whatever, childhood, everything. He didn't want to go. Then hack said, listen, you got to go. He's left. Bruno Fernandez is there. What's in him? They're hacked in by Bruno Fernandez. Molino, Mourinho. He played under Mourinho. He played subsequently, Lander. So listen, if he's not good enough, they will have got rid of him. So he's a fantastic player. Leave the guy alone, man. Sorry. I'm sorry, Mandy. Okay, I appreciate that. I wanted to go to Aluda, but your hand is up, so maybe let me let you in just for a second.

Conversations About Bruno

Yeah, sorry, I was just itching. Look, I don't like us to have conversations in absolutes. When somebody says Bruno needs to do better, they're not suddenly saying he's the worst player. Nobody has said that. When somebody says Bruno is off form and he's making wayward passes and losing the ball, nobody is saying he should be sold from the team. No one is saying that. We're just saying that Bruno needs to do better. Not just better, a lot better. Because I know if he went to, there are many teams he would go and walk into very easily, and that's fine. And he's a portuguese international. He's doing brilliant things. That's okay. But the Bruno that is playing this season for United is half the Bruno that played in that lockdown season. It could even be a third of. That, Bruno, because.

Team Performance and Captaincy

There'S a lot of form that is lacking for people making noise about Rashford. You know, Rashford is off form. Bruno is so off form. But because he's our captain, first of all, he's unbenchable. And secondly, because for a good time, he was one of our best players, it's hard to see why he should benched and probably shouldn't, but he needs to do better. It's as simple as that. We're not saying drop him. We're not saying, you know, sell him. No, we're just saying he needs to do better. A lot better. It's that simple. Thank you. Okay, thank you. Thank you. Bwo, over to you, Alluda. Obviously, your thoughts on United and spas. And I'm kindly regretting that you just got to somebody else for now. Just. I'll be back in like five minutes.

Strategy and Team Dynamics

Yeah, no problem. Let me go to Afande Kasinde. Afande Kasinde, you've had the discussion. I want your thoughts on spas up against United, but also to remind you that Bruno Fernandez has attempted 17 shots in the Premier League this season. That is more than any other player who is yet to score. And by the way, Belgium AFTV Afande has decided that Odegaard sits on the bench. And Bruno Fernandes stats, what are your thoughts on that? Andrew? My take on. On Bruno is that he is a very good player. Tactically and otherwise, he's a good captain. I had issues with him when he became the captain. He was complaining all the time he was going to the referee. He thought everything of his should be the way and he dropped that. I've been watching him.

Bruno's Contribution

He's playing so well. You've given us that statistic, but you've not told us how many passes he has given to other people. You've given us shots to the goal, but how many passes has Bruno given to other people that have resulted in two goals or otherwise? He is not a selfish player and he inspires the team. Yes, he's a little bit of form, but so is the whole team. So you cannot say that the problem is Bruno. And once you say that, then you're missing a little bit of a point. Because on paper, Manchester United team is very good. Team delete. He has come in and I don't know, the guy has brought in a lot of force up front. You know, where Marcus Rashford has not been doing well. Deride is really doing fantastic.

Challenges in the Squad

However, I do realize that, yes, whether he's a captain, he's benchable. And if you want him to look inside himself and say, yes, I must be doing much more than what I'm doing, benching him on a game that you think you are going to win. So Israel isn't a problem. So you put him there. Remember, Andrew, we had a captain of Manchester United, a defender who was not doing well. He was relieved of his duties. Okay. So I don't think he has reached that level. I think he, in one word, the other. It is a team, because I don't know where the problem is with my son Laban. And I was saying, I saw this with Oregon sorcerer, it seems the whole locker room, or dressing room as we want to call it, he, the players didn't, the players had issues with him.

Issues with Management

We didn't know. And I want to tell you that if players have issues with a coach, they are going to be like a sit down strike. They are going to play. We know they are very good, but somehow they are not going to give their all. And I also think that I saw Mourinho at United and something like that happened and he went, you want to ask yourself a, is Eric ten hag the problem? I will leave it there. So change a little bit and you will see a different Bruno. I believe that there is something in united that you want to put your hand, your finger on that probably. We haven't known, having said that, the match between United and Spurs. Andrew spurs this season has not played the game that we know, has not played the game of football as we know them to play.

Spurs’ Season Review

Last season they were so dangerous this season. I think they have taken points off the rudder. I think spurs generally, whether Soranke is in, whether, you know, look at sun, this can't be him. He needs five chances, six chances, seven chances in order to put the ball away. I mean to put the ball at the back of the net. What is happening to the team? So for me, Manchester United, they are going to London fine, but I think they will beat spurs. Why? Because spurs have not been doing so well. And I have not seen a game where there was one game where there were, I think, a goal down and they came and won.

Expectation for Upcoming Matches

I think the second or third game they won. But I want to believe that Manchester United going to Whiteheart Lane, they are going to nick this game, they are going to win this game. But Andrew, as I have said, we need to dissect Manchester United as a club with the kind of players that they have, very good players. Ajwebre one of the team that even they can. They can be able to compete with Arsenal, with Liverpool, with Manchester City, in terms of players, in terms of the quality of players. And that is very true. But there is something that we should put our hands on. And for me, the direction goes towards Eric ten hag. Why is Eric ten Hag always complimenting his players?

Coaching and Management Dynamics

Watch him give commentary before and after the game. Every time we are doing well, we are going to win cups. It may not be this cup, but, you know, we always win these other cups. Marcus is very good, but, you know, I want to test other players and that kind of thing. Why is he doing that? Every coach there is, when he is going to come down and, you know, like, breathe fire and say, no, we are not going tolerate players who play like this. Marcus, you are off form. That's why I put him away. I mean, you talk with that, but he's there. The players are good.

Fans' Expectations and Coach's Response

The fans are dying because they don't see the results. But the coach is number one fan of himself. I think he's trying to cover something. Maybe the players are beginning to listen to him, but they go and do their own thing. Maybe they want him to go. The boss of Manchester United wants ten hag. That is true. But are the players, do they have a lot of confidence in Eric ten hag? Why are we seeing Orgona Sosa and others starting to talk about going back to coach at Manchester United? Could it be a coincidence? Why are we beginning to see Manchester United greats? I have seen Roy King, I have seen Gary Nevo and I have seen others, and I don't think that they have.

Media Perspective and Players' Accountability

They are warming up to Erik ten hag. They are beginning to question his tactics. They are beginning to question the philosophy of the players. They are beginning to not to give. They are talking about other clubs, Andrew. Gary, Garen Nevo is talking about arsenal, is talking about Manchester United. He's talking less. I mean, Manchester City, he's talking less about Manchester United, which means that there is a problem that is already known. And for me, as the sooner they sort out this problem, the better. Andrew. Okay, thank you very much. I think even Peter Schmeichel, to be honest, did not have very kind words a few weeks ago.

Predictions for Upcoming Match

But the game is at Old Trafford, not away, which should be probably a bit of an advantage to Manchester United in a way or two. I'm going to give Darren the final microphone. Thank you for that. Thank you, Andrew, for that. For that kind of. Yeah, I'm going to give Darren, the microphone to wrap it up for us guys. And then as I promised at the beginning, today is a special day. We shall try and let five listeners and give each one just two minutes to have a reaction to any of the discussions we've been having. So if you're one of those on this space powered by DStv that wants to have just one reaction in two minutes to anything we've discussed, send in your request.

Taking Audience Inputs

I'll be opening up those microphone very shortly. Darren, before I come to you, just maybe some three, four comments. One is from Arsenal boy who says I think the captain and see of such a historic and one of the biggest clubs in the world is getting tough on Bruno Fernandez. I think the players have to respect him more. Look at Odegaard, they all respect him. Zanga says Bruno didn't play under Jose, he was signed by Ole. Then there's a reaction coming in as well. There's so many reactions, guys. I'm just trying to cut to as many as I can because I'm trying to make sure everyone's voice is heard, to be honest with you because we do appreciate you guys.

Zanga's Comment on Coach's Role

Joining us on this space manager is the problem. That is Zanga again. He says he's out of his brut but the United faithful will prefer to blame the players because that's easier to do. Ronald Mogabi says Bruno and Rashford have a problem. They have something about their attitude, especially on the pitch. Frank says Man United disappoints. I think spurs has an upper hand. I have reactions from Mugura Hussein who says United is beating spurs three one says Ipswich can surprise you in the last minute.

Audience Predictions

So let's look out for that villa game. All those reactions are coming through and I'll be reading as many more as I can. Darren, over to you. Okay. I see Alouda's hand is up. Aloud. I want to say something before Darren wraps it up. Yeah, Andrew, I just wanted to tell you that I am back but I've been listening in. I'm on the move but I've been listening in and everything I find I said I totally, totally agree with. For me personally, I think I've said it for. I said it from the beginning when we started doing this space.

Calls for Manager Change

I said it that ten Hag will be the first manager to get sacked. And you know, if he loses this game against spurs, I think that puts him under very like heavy pressure. You know, I feel like there's so many mistakes that he's making as a manager like Funde mentioned earlier, I feel like he overbends the players. You get what I'm saying? And he has so many excuses. And, you know, the FA cup win that, you know, at the end of the season, you know, covered so many, you know, cracks that Man United fans have been blind to.

Critique on Recent Performances

I've been following, I've been following BWOL's posts this week and I think BWL is one of those Man United funds that has is under ten hag spell, you know, because, I mean, how do you justify, how do you justify going and drawing against FC 20? Who the hell are FC 20? I mean, I'm sorry, I'm not going to say no disrespect. Who the hell are FC 20? I bet you all the money in the world, some of the players, some of the people that support Man United didn't even know where FC 20 plays from.

Expectations of Team Performance

They don't know what, you know, european country, FC 20 plays from. And you go and, come on, no. And you go and draw a game against FC 20. Like, come on, who are they? You know, you're Man United. You should win such games. And, you know, let me tell you something. Me, I don't feel. Sorry for Man United fans, especially Man United fans that are baby in the team. You get what I mean? When Arsenal was going through its banter era spell, I remember I was one of the people who was very vocal against the managers tactics and all that.

Challenges in Team Dynamics

You get what I mean? Yes. I know that they're going through a rebuild right now and there's so many new players and, you know, they need to learn each other's movements and all that, you know, I actually, I think that's one of the problems that Bruno is facing. You know, I feel like the players around him, you know, each player doesn't know what the other ones to do and they're still trying to figure it out. But, you know, if you have, if. You have, if you guys had a better manager, maybe that would be someone. It would be sorted by now. You know, I feel like, you know, for me, Man United has very good players.

Forecasting Manchester United's Future

And the only way. Man United can win a game this season, you know, as long as Denag is still there, the only way Man United can win again this season is if there's some individual brilliance from one of the players. You know, you don't see, you don't. See players, you know, putting. One and two together and, you know, scoring a goal like Marcus wise, for us to, I don't know, get some sort of, you know, random deflection and then, like, there has to be some sort of video, individual brilliance. And for me, when I look at this game, Man United versus Tottenham, Andrew, you said that it's an advantage to Man United.

Contemplating a Home Game Advantage

They are playing at Old Trafford, but I don't think that's an advantage to Man United. I feel like if they were playing at the spurs stadium, it would be an advantage to Man United, because for me, I've always thought Man United are one of the better teams when it comes to counter attack football. And, you know, with spurs playing at home, they would probably, you know, they would probably leave so many gaps for Man United to take advantage of. But with Man United at home, I feel like. I feel like spurs will probably eat the bug. You know, it's a difficult game to call, but for me, I think Man United is going to lose this game again.

Final Thoughts on the Upcoming Match

Wow. Alouda, there you are. Those are Alouda's thoughts. Darren, I know. I've been promising to come to you so many times, but you're going to wrap this one up, so let me just have one final mic before I go to. Darren, that's Belgium AFTV. I see your hand is up. I wonder where your comment lies just before we can try and wrap up. Oh, thank you, Andrew. Sorry about that. I'll be quick, I'll be quick. Do you know what? I'll reject this accusation of them hack stuff. Do you know what? I find it. For me, it's not fair.

The Optimism of Team Development

Listen, the guy, when he took over two seasons ago, he said to them he wanted seven players to go, but obviously because of politics, the players stayed on the way he wanted to play. That's when he quickly went for Nana and we saw what he wanted to do. But the thing is that maybe when he was giving money instead of him to buy players, that literally will fit into the profile. He went and spent money on Antonin and obviously it didn't work out. I could understand that. But in terms of what he's trying to implement, come on, give him a credit.

Management Challenges Facing Ten Hag

On top of that, it came in, he's only been there for two seasons. He won two cups for them. Right? That's something that is God, because if Ateta is there, I mean, even though if you want to compare to a Teta's been there for four seasons now. Five seasons now. Yeah. We gave him time, right? So Den Hag needs that time, you know, obviously he has to protect his players. You can't just come on this on social media or go on to when these people, because the media in England, what they always want to do, they always have an agenda, so they always want to. And English is not his first language, so he's trying to be careful.

The Transition of Team Identity

So the only thing he knows about, protect my players, so give it to him. And they got to give him time. And the last thing, the last point I want to make quickly was the father, the last speaker was talking about FC 20. Who is FC 20? No football team. Again, to the small teams. Yeah. Every single team now, they've improved. They got players, even though they're not playing for Manu or Arsenal. Ce that you heard of, they are good. They can play into those teams. So please don't be dismissive.

Concluding Remarks on Reactions

No Belgium. No, no, no. Who is FC 20? Like I told you earlier, I think most of the Man United fans on this app right now do not know who FC 20 are. You get what I'm saying? That's what I said, you know? Okay, fair enough. Alouda, there you go. This will start and won't end. Darren, finally, over to you. Also, let me just. Let me just add this. Andrew, as a national fan. Yeah. I really wanted her to stay.

Blocking Reactions

Let him stay. Darren, over to you. Spurs up against United. I'm just saying that all spurs four Premier League wins at Old Trafford have come in their last twelve visits. So they definitely love a trip to Old Trafford or they are not fazed by it, especially with the results United have had a bit more recently. But Darren, we talk about Eric ten Hag being under pressure. Daniel Levy wants european football, preferably the Champions League Angio. Poste Koglu is a man equally under so much pressure, but not many people are talking about it.

Reflections on Media Coverage

Yeah, Andrew. And it's because of the way I've kept summarizing these spaces about Manchester United over the past couple of weeks or so. Sports naturally hates dominance, and Manchester United won too much that even when they lose, everyone will poke into their eye because they've lost. As I stated last weekend, that if Eric ten Hag had not won the two games and returned to this weekend, the conversation would be different. The talk is pressure, pressure, pressure. Left, right, center pressure. Because it's Manchester United.

The Importance of Winning

Even the way articles are written, the way the media will write articles, it's more like bashing. But I'll tell you, the team has come to play. The team has showed up. The team has done its utmost best and if you roll back, perhaps six, seven weeks ago, ten hag was clear enough to state that his team wasnt ready. As we speak, I think theyve only picked up half of the points. They could have. An unfortunate defeat to Brighton, an unlucky loss to Liverpool. A draw at Crystal palace, which could have been a victory if Zack z takes his chances.

Missed Opportunities

Ganacho, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes all had chances and somehow none crossed the line. And it's going to take me to the gist of the conversation, because last season were saying United wasn't scoring goals, but they were as well, not defending. This season, they are defending. Onana has come to the party when he's been called on to play. He showed up, served a penalty against Southampton. Three minutes later, a defender scores the opening goal. He shows up at Crystal palace. Somehow, the changes that Stenhag made in the second half, bringing on Rashford, all the guys Stenhag brought on, none just delivered to execution.

Seeking Improvement

Somehow, the minutes peel away. It's a goalless draw. What has Cristo palace done? Sit back. Who has played ball? United FC 20. FC 20 shows up. United is all over them. They get an opener from Christian Eriksen. Eriksen in the second half is just totally unlucky. The ball turns the other end. It's a goal. Guess what changes have been made of Zakz just can't get onto that final pass to tap in. He's been present in the box, much more present than Hoyland in terms of the defensive structure.

Pressure on Team Tactics

He offers much better, I would say, because the team is a little more compact, very difficult to break down without the ball. Dallo is inverted. He comes right into the centre and that frees up the team. I'm thinking going forward, perhaps. Perhaps they're going to have to do a change. As I started the space, and perhaps aloud, I was not on the space, I've stated I saw rude van Nestre at the touchline for the very first time towards the end of a fixture, because it's his department, the striking area, that has now come under the spotlight.

Evaluating Future Strategies

I'm now looking through, actually, what United has got, and hear me out. Mason Mount is 25, Bruno Fernandez is 30, Marcus Rashford is 26, Anthony is 24, Ahmad Diallo is 22, Ganacho is 20, Hoyland is 21, Zacks is 23. The striking department, the leader. They've got plays behind the strikers. In Bruno Fernandez. The coordination seems to be there. The challenge is, the team is shy of Iran. And I've said it here, if United goes and wins three four games in a row, the entire conversation will change totally.

Pressure and its Effects

They won two games in a row, unlucky against Crystal palace. Then they drew against 20 a game that was going into a victory. And whenever United doesnt win, it more looks like the house is already on fire, which is a sheer contrast of Aloudas Arsenal that actually finished 8th in Atetas first full season. If I'm to put it into perspective, there's been patience with other teams. As I've stated, Maretska has got time. Even Lampard before he got sacked at Chelsea, hard time.

Consistency and Managerial Decisions

Unai Emery had time. I will move across several other teams, including all possible replacements for Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham. They've all had time at United there seems like the clock is moving at each and every second when the team doesn't win, when they take on spurs first, I'm thinking the wing backs are going to cancel out each other because of the way they play. Pedro Poro and Destiny Udogi both invert in the same for Dallo mainly and Masrawi. So those positions they are likely to cancel out each other.

Strategies for Upcoming Matches

I'm thinking ten hag could switch to try play the long ball and play on the counter because they want to score and that could hurt spurs in one way or another. Though at some point I'm thinking either introduce Rasmussen Ali if the result is not going their way, or they should think of how to turn that double pivot. Especially if I'm thinking you could do with Meno coming a little upfront, the fact that you've already got Dallo come through from left back to come and play right in the middle of the pack when United is in possession.

Team Cohesion and Upcoming Challenges

That should keep them a little more compact. But the double pivot. I'm thinking there is a way to impede an extra man going forward when Ganacho has the ball on the left or Rashford on the right. You're thinking United is a player or two shy in the box. And if they're able to solve that, I'm telling you the fact that they are now not conceding goals, they will be a totally different team. I've said it here, we'll come back to this particular space.

Looking Forward to Change

If United gets a run of three, four games winning across all competitions, the conversation will be totally different. When they don't win, the pressure is back. The conversation is about the manager. When they win, the conversation is still about football. I'll stick with the football. And I'm thinking the bigger challenge for Tottenham in my view is one son. Hyun Mink seems to be the more potent player for Tottenham going forward. Unfortunately, he's playing off the flanks and spurs is split between playing to him and playing to Dominic Solanke, who leads that centre line.

The Balance between Two Teams

I'm thinking if spurs can just get the two lively, United could be in trouble over the 90 minutes because both teams are going to run at each other. There is desperacy considering the state in which they are. I think both of them have seven points from a possible 15. In a nutshell, both teams will eventually score. I think spurs will have a chance in there. But because United is hungry, there is more pressure, inevitable pressure on United than Spurs.

Propelling Forward with Pressure

It's just the pressure that will push United into that gear that they need to play possibly as well. If Hoyland can get onto the scoresheet, that could turn them over the next couple of games or so. Because Zaxi perhaps now needs a break. He's trying to get into the groove. He got lucky with the goal. Maybe could have more impact if he comes off the bench again. Big decisions for ten hag to take. He's the manager, he's in charge.

The Weight of Decisions

He's accepted some criticism after that. Dragonfc 20, they gave away three points. I must say they should have scored against Cristo palace in the first half. They were totally different in the second half. He will have minimal excuses over the next few weeks if he doesn't get a run, even if it is three, four games winning in a row. The conversation, I will insist, will be totally different, possibly in January.

Team Rebuild and Future Direction

They may need a more experienced striker to try help these guys because as I've told you, the striking department is way too young and inconsistencies are inevitable. Andrew. Thank you. Thank you very much, Darren, really appreciate that. Guys, I think let's have the five listeners on this space that want to say anything that we have discussed. You only are going to please have two minutes.

Wrapping Up the Space

You quickly, in two minutes, wrap it up and then we can wrap up this space because all you guys do is the listening and I'm sure you guys have a view or two, but sending those predictions, Manchester United up against spas. So let me start off with Moses Baguma and then I'm going to have Arsenal boy, let me first have those two. First of all, let me see who is ready. Arsenal boy, are you ready? Moses Baguma, are you ready? Your mic is still muted.

Evaluating Audience Participation

I get you. Tell me what is your thoughts? Let's try and use two minutes, my brother. Okay, well, I just want to speak on two aspects. I'm going to speak about the dark. Arts and I think the United game. Well, I've been hearing people talk about the dark arts and forgive me to take you back on the that, but, well, the likes of Mourinho, the likes of, Simeon, all these are. People that were known for playing dark arts.

Discussion on Dark Arts in Football

I don't know why a teta plays such kind of football and someone comes out, say that he's playing dark arts. And I keep on saying, no, that is not acceptable, because even Ferguson was good at that. Even from the dugout. These guys used to play that. They used to play the Roy King, the Patrick fears. Those are dark arts. So when Atota plays it and ad gardia saying that it is war, well, it is war. So no problem. We are fit to the game and we are ready also to push them up to the way the United match and spurs.

Confidence in Performance

I think united. I think it is. Just a reason that united. The confidence levels, I think one or the other ten are to find a way how to push the team forward. And I know they will get there. It's a big team, historical club. Just to find those confidence levels. Andrew, back to you.

Concluding the Discussion

Thank you. Thank you very much. I'm happy you've given us your quick thoughts as well. Now you can unmute your micumah, Moses. Okay. I think he requested and then completely walked away. Remove him from the speakers. I think is the next one. We can have your quick thoughts in just two minutes. What's your comment, my brother? You guys are requesting and then not hearing me? What's the problem?

Final Audience Touches

You or is it me? Let me try my final few options here then, because I don't need to. Can't hear me. Maurice. There you go, Morris. Welcome aboard. What is your. Hello, please follow. I think we're all over the place now to be probably just going to end this because no one seems to. Be listening to me. No, Darren, if you're listening to me. We can hear you. Don't worry, we can hear you.

Acknowledging Participation

I can hear you. I don't know, maybe people are back home. The guys who are requesting are not saying anything, so it's crazy. Yes, Andre, I can hear you. there you are, my brother. Welcome. Welcome aboard. What is your quick comment? In two minutes, man, actually, I'll talk. About the side of Arsenal when you. Look at the front line of Arsenal right now, they're playing very well.

Alarming Trends in Arsenal’s Strategy

But I think Ateta will have to go into the market in the January transfers and look out for that person who can actually hook into the net more than these other guys who are just taking on the sides like Martinelli, because they cannot decide, like, they cannot take fast decisions. And I think that's what we are lacking. But if we go to the market early enough in January and get those possible players, I think we shall be the possible winners of the Premier League this season.

Closing Remarks from the Speakers

Thank you. Okay. Thank you very much. I really appreciate that as well. Let me just allow the final three people, guys. One is CT, the other is timeless. And then Prince Raz as well. After those three, we shall be calling it a wrap. So let me quickly start off with CT. Okay? Follow me, please. All right. Andrew. Vanua. Jawa. Guys, I'm sorry. I mean, I don't know what someone is going to say before they say it.

Navigating Audience Challenges

Prince Raz, please don't request for followers. Give us your quick comment in two minutes. Okay? Okay. Thank you. Prince Raz, what's your comment? I have no comment. Okay. I don't think I'm going to open this up again. This is probably the last time. But let me give a chance to timeless who have already accepted. I'm hoping timeless has a view.

Thoughts on Squad Dynamics

Timeless. Welcome aboard. Hello. My quick take is on United Manchester United. When you look at the squad, they have everything and everyone they need to play a good game. But we don't know what's taking place. Probably the problem is with management because they have put everything in place, the structure is in place, they have the vision, the players are there. We don't really know what's taking place, what's happening, what's wrong.

Examining Team Management

So I think maybe the manager has a problem. And until the manager is fired, I think we shall never play good football because years have run down the road. We have seen what's been taking place and it's too much for us to take as fans who don't gain anything apart from the winning. And at this moment, we think the manager needs to go. We need to get someone who can steer the club forward because they have done everything that the club needs to do to succeed.

Closing Sentiments

But things are still not going well. So thank you very much. Have a good day. Thank you, guys. We are going to wrap this up now. So I want to take this time to thank everyone. Thank you very much for sparing your time and being with us every weekend. We really appreciate that. Please join us on Saturdays a Funday because I'm sure you love the discussions. Belgium Asante, that's what we say in this part of the world in East Africa, which is.

All About Team Spirit

Thank you very much as well for joining us and giving us your thoughts. We do wish you the best as you go to watch that game. Thank you. B wall, as always. Darren, I'm going to wrap up with you, so don't think you have left. Bwol, as always. And then Alouda as well joined in. Darren, you're going to have the final word on this space.

Final Thoughts and Reflections

It's a huge premier league weekend coming up. Who could be the biggest losers? And in which game do you think we could have the biggest winners under the circumstances? Five games in, Darren, did you decide we end the space this way by just keeping quiet? Okay, guys, let's end the space then. I'm going to see you guys next weekend at exactly 11:00 a.m. we are powered by DStv and that is the home of all the food ball.
