Behind the Mic
his thread for all the different spaces during the week. So yeah, every day we've got spaces rolling. So I think yeah, just check out heroes latest thread. I'm going to be. So I'm just trying to do more marketing for this and next week for like final push to get applications in golden. So if anybody want more help, let me know. I'll be the marketing intern. Yeah, you did a great job. I had intended to shoot that out myself this week, but all the spaces weren't up there. So the stewards have, the leads have delivered. So yeah, we've got a rolling number of spaces. But for those that aren't in console, are we able to post up a link in the nest to join the console? I just can't see one close and handy if you've got one handy there, herogamer and I'll be heading up the community and Governance grants conversation this Thursday or Friday, whichever your time zone is. So if you've got anything to do with community building, there is a bit of cross synergy here between arts developer and community. So you're welcome to join into each of the spaces and bounce your ideas and help formulate them. So we'll be there for a couple hours on Friday morning or my Friday morning, you're probably Thursday night. So look forward to seeing some of you there that weren't able to speak. Here. You can jump up on any space. There's people there to help you with whatever your application is. We had quite a. An interesting conversation earlier with a gentleman in, I think it was Nairobi, and he is teaching AI to children and in an orphanage edge. And it was very interesting. And I just wondered if that sort of would fall under community and governance or not. Yeah, I think so. I think we'll see applications. I mean, that's the grant that was given to Annabelle last time. Was that Annabelle? I think for the south american one from Stax Latham was the music and science based project. So, yeah, I really encourage those projects to apply because I think it is a community growth program, you know, and, yeah, I think out of the D grants funds, that's something that definitely aligns with that. Yeah, okay. In the past, a lot of those grants have gone to like stack. I cant remember who else. Like a lot of music projects, anything creative. So, yeah, this gentleman, I thought it was very creative and you know, I said good luck. And you know, he said, well I just there's no money here. Yeah, that's incredible. Yeah. Look, I think. Take that conversation up chain. Like if you go into the discord in console, you're more than welcome to start a conversation there and introduce yourself. And you might actually find other community members that are able to help you workshop. If it's not necessarily going to be a D grant, we might have some other mechanisms of funding as well. And basically, if you're here and you've got a project and it's not going through D grants or whatever, just get on the twitter spaces or applications. Yeah, yeah. I think I think it's. Yeah. You know, you just go. I think you just need to be in it to win it in some cases and just if you don't hear back on your first grant, don't be disheartened, keep applying, you know. Yeah, your idea's valid. It's just the pool is quite small of people that are able to deliver as quickly as we do, so its not a case of, you know, you're not being heard. It's just it's going to take time to go through the checks and balances and make sure the right, you know, support materials. Yeah. Well, we go all the way through back all the way. So we review all applications. So. And if it's missed out, it's usually someone might sometimes it's technical. Sometimes a wallet address gets missed out on an application. And, you know, people you know are really you know, the deadlines are sometimes really fast and it's hard to submit. So things get missed. So really, if there is an issue with the application, we'll contact you and see if it could be fixed in round or the next round. So definitely submit. Okay. And, you know, if it doesn't hit, you'll get feedback as well. So you'll get some help with, you know, looking at where you might be able to apply the next round. If you missed missed out on something, it's only usually, you know, small stuff that usually a blocker. Yeah. Like, it's not usually something that's a huge glaring issue that goes no hard straight away. It's usually some technical thing, missed wallet address or missed input somewhere. So we really do encourage D grant, yeah, to reapply if they just get a small fix suggestion on their feedback. Okay, has anyone else got anything that you want to share? There's z-net. Yeah. There's going to be some news coming up on that. There's pretty exciting, pretty good stuff coming on that, so it's nearly about to be released stage. Yeah, there is a bugs section that's fixed for Cosmos. And you probably see some updates on that if you go follow Hank and CW, their updates on Substack and there's a couple of threads around it. So if you subscribe to their updates, you'll get the latest news from the z-net chain. Great. It's good just sitting here chatting together like this. Yeah, I mean, all the little. Yeah, everyone needs to step up on stage because. Yeah. That's kind of been a part of the space that we wanted to create, was just really open source talking about what's going on and, yeah, helping people in real time. So that's the point of these Thursday spaces. Sorry. And besides, that's exactly what we do, isn't it? Real time. Oh, I would just sort of interject there with a little thing, so, there is a cross synergy conversation I was having with Luther from the Sassy Collective and he's delving into discourse and basically thinking of ways of broader communication on spaces when we're not in spaces. So they're working on getting some guides over to us for our next session around that. So keep an eye out for that too. So some good practical advice coming from Luther at the Sassy collective. Nice, nice. I'm actually blown away by the amount of cool stuff that's happening in and around Atlas. Because this this kind of ties into his state, this space that we're all in to a degree as well. So, yeah, it's kind of we need to build those cross communities. And like MetaDreamer always argues about this is not communities, it's a community of communities. That's what we're building. So yeah, it's exciting, very exciting. Cross pollination. Nice. Yeah, I did hear a little bit about VR gallery too, which is just mind blowing as far as you know, what's coming from from his camp. So fingers crossed we'll see something happening soon. And if you haven't checked as our space as well. There's plenty of crossover between that. It's worth seeing hint, hint. We'll be dropping some alpha. Just side side note, Luther you mentioned equipment and getting participating in the discord rooms and stuff like that through there. Are we able to list any particular brands of equipment that you need or is there somewhere where you list all that like resources that people can support you with. Or meta places, yeah, yeah, no, there's no like brand in particular because it's like for this implementation it would just be like webcams and microphones that teachers over there need. So like, as well as like screens in general, because most of them use mobile phones and then it makes it kind of tougher to teach the class. So anything like computer related equipment would be golden. So like anyone in the audience, if you get this far and you have the opportunity to supply any of those technological assets, please just reach out at meta places, just connect with us. And yeah, there's there's a lot of good work to be done in the interim for sure. And I think there's yeah, a lot of good stuff from maybe Osmosis or you know, Outlier for funds. They have some really interesting grassroots programs like that as well. So I'm here with, you know, Grants. But you know, if you want to get involved with them, I can really sort of help from, from the sort of cross pollination phase. Yeah. Yeah. Just sort of everyone supporting each other, you know? Yeah, absolutely. And like I look forward to, you know, seeing some results as well and you know sharing and. So cool. Absolutely cool. I guess that's what it's all about, right? It's education. Like, no one's going to be all of this in five years time. So, yeah. Cool man. Thanks. Thanks. And yeah, to everyone in the space for hanging around, buddy. It's awesome. There's real synergy there. So, again, thank you. Yeah. Okay, it's like, wow. Big build up. No, no, it was good. Thank you. And we've had some good, fantastic conversations today. And also being a bit of wellness included. I think you can't leave that out of space. And I know there's been some load shedding and things there. So thanks for coming in to or yeah. And collectibles. But yeah. Cool dude. Great. Thanks. No worries. Thank you. You're always welcomed, always welcome to have you on as well. And it's it's the same here for me, you know, getting to this stage and being one of the artists myself is a big, big leap. And, you know, it's really a new landscape for me. And to have this kind of support has been, you know, so humbling. So thank you for the opportunity. And that's a wrap on this week's space. All good? Okay, thanks. Thanks. Bye bye. Cheers. Bye bye. And that was awesome. That was really, really incredible space. Like I didn't expect it to go that long and it was just so interesting. All the different areas that people are working on and bringing that community insight into these spaces is so valuable. So I just want to thank everybody for coming today. It was really amazing to just see everybody's face and you know, be part of this incredible conversation. So yeah, I hope it inspires everybody and seeing you guys next week. Um, you know, for looking at for the arts category, we we have someone from community, someone deep in the dev space and someone deep in the creator space within NFTs in our applications process. So for next week, keep your applications rolling in and check out based AF. And there's they're also doing some pretty cool work with NFTs in VR and real life. So if you miss the nest link that's currently up there now, just jump into the discord for our arts and we'll have those conversations ongoing. But yeah, if, if anyone doesn't have anything else to add, that's basically most of the updates. So yeah, let's let's wrap up the space here guys. That was really incredible. Anyone else have anything else they want to share? Okay, thanks guys. Thanks, firo. We're wrapping up now. Okay, Thanks. Thanks. Bye bye. Cheers. Bye bye.
